  1. Bob & Brian read my crummy job story on the air. (Dead woman in the bathtub.) Wish me luck in the drawing today.
  2. Great story Jamie, but are you sure it wasn't a DeLorean? That would be a reasonable explanation.
  3. I've watched the first 3 episodes of No Ordinary Family and I'm not sure how many more I'm going to watch. Although the ratings have been good, I have a feeling that the show may not be back for a second season. I'd like to see them move forward with the plot instead of spinning their wheels like the 3rd episode.
  4. As soon as I saw Pat Listach dive headfirst into the Nationals/Marlins brawl earlier this year, I wanted him to be our next manager. His quote was something along the lines of, "I did not want it to be 5 of their guys against 1 of ours."
  5. Interesting article from JSOnline: Macha never connected with Braun, Fielder The placement of Macha's right hand is unintentionally hilarious. http://media.jsonline.com/images/mjs-brewers07_-spt_-sieu_-15-brewers07(2).jpg
  6. Probably 5-6 years ago, it was about 4am and I was driving on I-80 just east of Omaha. Guess what song came on the radio? Bob Seger's "Turn the Page." I think they must run that song on a loop at that time of night.
  7. It seems like the NFL is finally doing something about the way they handle concussions. After his concussion against the Packers, Philadelphia Eagles QB Kevin Kolb had to go through a series of tests before he could be cleared to play, which included a consultation with an independent neurologist. There is still much to be learned about brain injuries and professional sports. After Chris Benoit murdered his wife and son, the Sports Legacy Institute (http://www.sportslegacy.org/) examined his brain and stated Benoit "had the brain of a man aged 80 or older with 'very severe' Alzheimer's disease" due to the repeated concussions and brain injuries.
  8. What about it sounds strange? He is a sworn police officer for at least 15 years now. I haven't spoken to him in a while since I no longer live in Wisconsin, but his specialty was minor infractions like handicap parking. I'd rather not throw his name out there, but there is a nice archived article about him and parking violations on jsonline.com from January 1, 2005. I'm not familiar with Milwaukee PD at all, but the large police agencies I am familiar with use CSOs to handle parking issues.
  9. My uncle is a cop for the Milwaukee Police Department and for the past 3-4 years his entire job has consisted largely of writing tickets for people who park illegally in handicap parking spots. He told me about how proud he was of the money he was making for the city and how much he loves the feeling of catching someone doing this. So the precedence isn't entirely merit less, but it is only 1(!) person and he has worked numerous types of shifts in his 15+ year tenure with the Milwaukee Police. This sounds really strange to me. Is your uncle a sworn police officer or is he in a non-sworn position like a community service officer? I live in Madison, but even out here, it's common "knowledge" that Milwaukee cops only care about parking tickets and jaywalking. So either that's true, or MPD is bad at public relations. Either way, it's their own fault, not the general public's. Hating people for having an opinion isn't cool. I also live in the Madison area, and I have never thought about Milwaukee cops only caring about parking tickets and jaywalking. Gee, I thought that Milwaukee PD only cared about the 71 murders, 208 forcible rapes, 3207 robberies, 3853 aggravated assaults, 36562 property crimes, 6409 burglaries, 23615 larceny thefts, 6538 auto thefts, and 317 arsons they handle on a yearly basis. (Source: Uniform Crime Report 2008.) They handle over 23,000 thefts a year. They simply don't have the manpower to give each person the individual attention that they may deserve.
  10. Theft from person is a felony. Report the crime and get him locked up.
  11. Congrats to Jeremy Jeffress on his first major league win. Hopefully this is #1 of many.
  12. According to Cory Provus on the radio broadcast, he was removed due to the injury to his foot after being HBP.
  13. Yeah, here is the quote from Haudricourt's blog about Macha not starting Luis Cruz:
  14. Back from my weekend roadtrip. I found Target Field to be underwhelming. I liked the outside of the stadium. I liked the scoreboard, wide concourses, and food selection. However, I get the impression that they had to really squeeze as much as they could into a small piece of land. I didn't see any kids areas. There really was not a whole lot besides the ballpark, if that makes sense. I liked Kauffman Stadium a lot. In fact, it's probably my favorite stadium. The whole stadium seems balanced. Great scoreboard, I liked the water fountains, and there is plenty to do with the kids. (Like a mini golf course behind right field.) I also liked the activities between innings. Even though the Royals stink, the fans were rocking. Finally, Kauffman has the most friendly staff that I have come across. I received plenty of "Welcome to Kauffman Stadium" or "Welcome to the K." I'll definitely be back if the Brewers play in KC in 2012. Busch Stadium was okay. The outside of the stadium was terrific. Lots and lots of red brick. Inside, I thought the food selection was terrible. Not a whole lot of variety. The PA announcer drove me nuts. He would announce names with no excitement or inflection in his voice. "Now batting, Albert (2 second pause) Pujols." They really could use a new scoreboard. What also drove me nuts is the smugness of the Cardinals fans. The PA announcer said, "Welcome to Busch Stadium. Welcome to baseball heaven." Also, there were multiple scoreboard messages saying that Cardinals fans are the best fans in baseball.
  15. I'll be watching The Event, No Ordinary Family, as well as The Walking Dead on AMC. I can't wait for the Walking Dead. It's about time for a zombie apocalypse tv series.
  16. This weekend I am going on a 3 stadium roadtrip. (Friday night Minneapolis, Saturday night Kansas City, and Sunday afternoon St. Louis.) A buddy and I are going to try to go on a stadium roadtrip every year. I enjoy going to different ballparks, both major and minor league. As far as major league stadiums go, I've only been to County Stadium, Miller Park, the Metrodome, and Turner Field. For minor league parks, I've been to Pohlman Field, Fox Cities Stadium, Appalachian Power Park, and Principal Park in Des Moines. My favorite major league stadium is Miller Park and minor league is Appalachian Power Park by default since the others are really nothing special. So, what stadiums/ballparks have you gone to and what's your favorite?
  17. Maybe it's just me, but the Brewers jerseys on the site that BrewersSuperCollector posted look pretty bad. The names on the back of the jerseys look off.
  18. Does his agent mean he threw 101 pitches or 101 MPH?
  19. Of all the "As Seen on TV" garbage that I have purchased throughout the years, by far my best purchase has been Save a Blade. It easily triples the life of my Mach 3 blades.
  20. I'm at work right now. I'll send the spreadsheet out later today. (Sunday)
  21. Unfortunately, my wife would kill me if I put $$400-$500 on one of our credit cards, even if I had the money to pay for it up front. There are a couple of people here who have volunteered to make the payment, as long as they receive the money up front. I posted the inventory to try to move things along. Do we have anyone available to make the purchase with their credit card (on the condition that everyone pays you beforehand) and are we willing to place a cutoff date for payments/orders? I'd like to get the order placed ASAP.
  22. Let me clarify. The jerseys and sizes I posted are for nfljerseysupply, which is the link on the first page of this thread. The other website which rwa12 provided a couple pages back has next to nothing available.
  23. Angry Birds comes out for the Android on Friday!
  24. To clarify, the lists above are for NFL Jersey Supply, which is the link of the first page of this thread. If you are looking for anything else specific, send me a message or leave a reply. If you want a copy of the spreadsheet, include your email address.
  25. I emailed the site and received their current list of what's in stock. I'll post the Brewers and Packers below. The 5 rows of numbers refer to the quantity of each they have in each size. (48, 50, 52, 54, 56) ***edited***
