    It was an honest mistake by a newbie mod. I understand the reasoning, but over time they should get much better at waiting to lock a thread until it is absolutely warranted. On the bright side this has to be some sot of a record for a complaint filed against a new mod. Congratulations!

    Norm Green was facing backruptcy so he negotiated a backroom deal with Dallas that would save him financially. Plus Green had that pesky sexual harrassment lawsuit in The Cities he wanted to steer clear of as well.

    You are totally allowed to ask for autographs in a hotel. Or anywhere else for that matter. Just like it is perfectly acceptable for a player/celebrity to turn down your request for whatever reason.

    I try not to blatantly advertise my site too much, but I just finished up my latest review of Koko: A Talking Gorilla, a 1977 French documentary on Koko the gorilla who has become world famous for learning sign language. I've been covering a bit more high brow fare recently but Koko: A Talking Gorilla is a very accessible and outstanding film that I highly recommend. And since it is summer I do plan on reviewing a few more ridiculous films. The next film up will either a film with The Hoff as a Space Prince, or perhaps a movie about a police officer who gains super powers from a nuclear explosion only to find he loses them if he sees the color red. Both are fantastic in their own utterly stupid ways. Should be fun.

    Saw Wanted today, and while it is far from faithful to the solid source material, and liberally borrows from such fare as Fight Club and The Matrix, somehow still manages to be a fairly enjoyable film. It is a bit hokey and the super villain concept is really glossed over, but no one shoots action sequences like Bekmambetov. If you haven't seen either of director Timur Bekmambetov's other films Night Watch and Day Watch I also suggest checking them out as well. If EDR disagrees with me be sure to ignore him. Because he is wrong.

    I believe scoop was also the same person who used to claim they were a college baseball player, and thus knew more then anyone on this board. After a little research it was discovered that he did not play college baseball, and in fact was just a student manager.

    I really need to watch Darjeeling again. I enjoyed it when I saw it in the theater and Anderson's films typically grow on me with each subsequent viewing. BTW Robert, let me thank you yet again for letting me watch Chimes at Midnight. It was better then I ever expected.

    That was my thought as well. People tend to pull off-speed pitches because you are out in front of them.

    Avoid Mall of America like the plague. Dakota is a very nice jazz club, basically a shirt and tie kind of place. The Varsity is probably my favorite venue in the Cities, but I don't know who is playing there. Dinkytown has a couple nice places like The Loring Pasta Bar and The Kitty Cat Klub which are worth checking out. Northeast has the two best bars in town with The Bulldog and Psycho Suzi's with Gasthof being another fun place to go. As for the general Uptown area I'm partial to The Black Forest Inn and The Bad Waitress for places to eat and The Bulldog on that side of town is nice place to grab a drink, though not too many places in that area to see a show. Market Bar-B-Que on Nicollet is probably the best rib joint in town.
