  1. Olympic ping pong is awesome.
  2. I can't wait for the inevitable freaks who claim this find totally means their is a population of Skunk Apes living in the Everglades.
  3. But think of the fawning adulation you'll receive when you pull that little nugget of truth out at your next party.
  4. Technically The Flamingo Kid was the first ever PG-13 movie. As for little Susan Backlinie, she is one of the first people killed in Grizzly, which is a nice little movie about a charming grizzly bear that decides to kill everyone in sight, but unlike Jaws they show the bear far too often and it kind of ruins the whole effect. On the plus side it does have a guy who dresses up as a Grizzly Bear to try and communicate with the animal. I can only imagine how much better Jaws would have been if they had a similar scene. I don't remember her from Day of the Animals. I can only assume she was slaughtered in the first few frames, as is her cinematic speciality.

Is there a website that doesn't use cookies in some form or another? If you are worried about data collection from that then I can only assume you must not use any banking institution and pay for every transaction in cash. Honestly, you are probably safer from "Big Brother" with the massive amount of data collection their currently is then if it was minimized. Their is just so much information out there now that it is impossible to keep up with any particulars from all the noise.
  6. If the tiny snails you are talking about have a thin coned shell you will want as many of those as you can. They climb down through your gravel and eat the detrious matter. They also are pretty good algae eaters as well. And since they are so small they won't foul your tank if they die like larger snails often do.
  7. The Bad Sleep Well and Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead strike me as two fairly obvious omissions. And how is Titus so low?
  8. He's talking saltwater. Saltwater is a lot of fun, and far easier then many would expect but the cost is quite a bit more then freshwater.
  9. Actually the bigger the tank the less work you have to do, as the increased amount of water provides for a more stable environment.
  10. Go as big a tank as you can. The bigger the tank the harder it is for you to screw it up. What kind of fish are you thinking of getting?
  11. Post production work wasn't finished, as Ledger was still doing voice dubbing for The Dark Knight. And despite what Warner's has tried to insinuate, the role of Joker had nothing to do with Ledger's drug habits. Which existed years before he ever signed on for the role.
  12. On Girl Talk's latest album he used "Africa" in one of his songs. My guess is it was probably that.
  13. It also can only be grown in limited areas. I am being half-way serious when I say if you devote the limited regions of bamboo to making sheets you are killing Pandas. Killing them for your comfort!
  14. How the heck is the green movement any way connected to bamboo sheets? Cutting down bamboo for sheets means you are destroying the habitat and food source of Pandas. Wool doesn't require the razing of anything, merely totally green pastures and an easily renewable resource. Think of the Pandas.
  15. First off let me say I enjoyed the film quite a bit, but their were plenty of errors that bothered me. The editing was suprisingly poor, not only in the obvious fight sequences but with oddly cut dialogue sequences, chase sequences, and a ton of continuity errors. If the editing wasn't so horrible I would have enjoyed the film quite a bit more. I also didn't like the 4 Act structure of the film, as the first act was almost totally worthless and the 4th is badly rushed. I admire Nolan for attempting such an experiment, but it simply doesn't work. That being said the acting from the entire cast is excellent and the film looks great and I liked the story, but the film really needed to be edited better. It is a very good movie, but far too flawed to be a great movie.
  16. I'm still tossing around the idea of boycotting the film. Mainly for the reactions it will get.
  17. Apple has the trailer posted and it is supposed to be attached to Batman this weekend. Still not sure how I feel about it, as it just feels "off" but still looks like it might be a respectable adaptation.
  18. Pictures would usually be done by an intern. McCalvy would have absolutely zero input on that.
  19. I'm fairly certain McCalvy isn't actually posting the article on the site. And it is pretty rare for a writer to come up with the title of the article, as that is what copywriters are for.
  20. Yeah, I like the Eee's a lot. I have my eye on this one.
  21. My brother in-law did a fishing trip for his bachelor party. They rented a cabin up north for a weekend, hung out and simply enjoyed the outdoors.
  22. The Witches is a great live action film based on a Road Dahl book. I always forget about it but it is probably one of my favorite kids movies.
  23. Labyrinth is a great suggestion, as are any of the Jim Henson/Muppet films like Dark Crystal or the first three Muppet movies. Who Framed Roger Rabbit? is probably another good choice as well.
  24. The Grandson: A book? Grandpa: That's right. When I was your age, television was called books. And this is a special book. It was the book my father used to read to me when I was sick, and I used to read it to your father. And today I'm gonna read it to you. The Grandson: Has it got any sports in it? Grandpa: Are you kidding? Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles... The Grandson: Doesn't sound too bad. I'll try to stay awake. Grandpa: Oh, well, thank you very much, very nice of you. Your vote of confidence is overwhelming. While I love The Burbs, it might be a bit scary for a 10 year old. Plus I don't think a 10 year old would get many of the jokes.
  25. Short Circuit movies. The Princess Bride. Any Harryhausen film. Flight of the Navigator Sky High Pee Wee's Big Adventure Project X The Goonies The Karate Kid UHF Whale Rider MirrorMask The Never Ending Story Never Cry Wolf both Gremlins films The Last Starfighter Also, the sooner you get him on the classics like Red Dawn and Iron Eagle the better more rounded adult he will be.
