  1. My guess is they make money by being able to charge for electricity for the life of the house. Probably sell the excess to the local power companies as well. But since they cover all initial costs you probably are saving money for at least the first 5 years.
  2. That is completely unacceptable language for this forum. Consider yourself warned.
  3. Hunter wants 5 yrs at $15 million per. He'll get that and probably more fairly easily. The chances of him signing with the Brewers are less then 0%.
  4. One thing I found fascinating about "The Bridge" was how many of the friends and families were relatively ok that these people took their lives. They knew of their various struggles with mental illness or physical issues and in general it seemed like they were relieved that their friends/family were finally at peace. Difficult movie to watch but just a great documentary.
  5. Anyone wanna place bets on whether or not the baby is decked out in a Jr Pac-Man costume this Halloween?
  6. If you can be less absurd I can assure you it would be better received.
  7. Whether or not you were being facetious is irrelevant. You continually post about your distaste in having Yost as the manager, and you chose to use a ridiculous and extreme metaphor to emphasize your point. Spewing vitriolic bile isn't helping your argument any, and it certainly isn't going to change the fact that Yost is coming back next year. But then I guess you expected everyone to laugh at the thought of Yost putting glass in our brat buns. That Yost, he so cray-zay. Tee hee.
  8. No, it was a horrible metaphor.
  9. Yes, Ned is purposely trying to damage your health with every move he makes.
  10. He better be careful, if he doesn't submit the proper paperwork within 30 days the 1st round pick can be declared a free agent.
  11. I have nothing but sympathy for your taste buds.
  12. Stewart has a great bit earlier about the NY Post who had a picture on their front page of a crying baby in a Mets cap. "I didn't know the New York Post could take a picture of my soul."
  13. I'm all about Awesometown.
  14. Time to abuse my power... ... there, much better. Please stay on topic. I understand people are frustrated but their is no need to sling insults at one another.
  15. Just for that I'm recommending you to Brian.
  16. The problem with Nathan is he is going to cost a ton. If you are going to spend that much on a closer, then why not just resign CoCo? Neshek seems fairly close to untouchable as well, though with his recent arm problems he's a bit of a risk to boot. I like the idea of going after Crain, as he's on target to be ready for Spring Training, and shouldn't require us to trade a boatload of talent in return. But if we want to trade Hall, and the Twins seem like a great place to send him, I'd go after Perkins rather then Nathan.
  17. Anyone played Inside the Park at all? It looks interesting.
  18. I almost dedicated a thread to you today Russ, but what I was going to post will fit in nicely in this thread. It concerns a request from my girlfriend for more "quality" time with her in the evenings while I am trying to watch Brewer games. The conversation went like this. Special Lady Friend - You are coming to bed now. Katuluu - Just let me check the Brewers score. SLF - Why do you need to check that now? Katuluu - Because they haven't been to the playoffs since 1982. I was 6 years old then. SLF - So? It's not like you could remember that anyways. Katuluu - Exactly. For all intensive purposes they haven't been to the playoffs in my life time. SLF - So the Brewers score is more important then me. Katuluu - You don't know me at all.
  19. It probably occured when you purchased your Bonsai Kitten. http://64.207.144.142/movabletype/PETA2Daily/archives/bonsaikitten.JPG
  20. Russ is talking about predicting future success. Your Capuano comment has nothing to do with his argument.
  21. Yeah, that's my bad. When you mentioned that the defensive stats were back up I started thinking it was just a defensive stat. I need to pay better attention. That all being said, isn't WARP similar to VORP in that it is somewhat dependent on AB's?
  22. Is it really that suprising? Tulo is Gold Glove candidate, while Braun and Weeks could only wish to be.
  23. Gonzalez isn't untouchable. Patrick is right that the D-Backs are pretty vocal that Byrnes, Young, and Upton are their starting outfielders for now and the future. Quentin is the name being floated around the most, but Gonzalez is available for the right price.
  24. I can't imagine the D-Backs wouldn't start with Gallardo, Villenueva, or Parra as the key player in the trade. It seems pretty unlikely they would want Vargas back, but they might be interested in Capuano, though doubtful. If I had to guess, I'd say a potential trade would shape up something like Parra for Quentin, with possibly a middling prospect exchanged by both sides.
