    No, he's at 85 and threw 145 last year. One of the reasons the move to the bullpen was puzzling.

    They were planning to use a 6 man rotation out of the all star break, now it's 5: Miley, Anderson, Cachin, Guerra, Peralta.

    Suter has to be on a short leash. They said Peralta and Guerra are both going to be starting this week, going with 6 starters for now. I can't see that continuing long term.

    Aquilar needs 3 more RBIs this month to have 3 straight 20 RBI months. The last Brewer to do that was Richie Sexson in 2003.

    The price he'll pay is probably never making another all star game. I do wonder how this will affect him mentally, especially since he has been struggling a bit lately already. And this is another example of why I root for the Brewers and don't get too caught up in the individual players (illegal drug users, liars, cheaters, wife beaters, etc) and haven't had a jersey or t-shirt of a current player in a long time.

    If he stays in the minors the rest of the year, he may not have enough service time to get arbitration. He is at 2.079 and you need around 2.132 to reach arbitration. Of course he is out of options next year, so it may not matter. Broxton is in the same boat for service time and options next year.

    I read that it's just a paper move to give him a rest before he starts game 3,4 or 5 after the break.

    His shoulder was feeling better, but then his back started acting up. Not sure there is a timetable until his back is better.

    I can't find it now, but I saw that they are hoping Suter will be able to start one of the doubleheader games.

    Since the Cubs aren't losing to anyone else now, at least we get 8 more chances in the 2nd half to bury them.

    But doesn't Wilkerson have to spend 10 days in the minors unless someone goes on the DL, or does that not count due to the 26 man rule? I wonder if Houser starts on the 12th and then Miley for the doubleheader.

    Houser hasn't been down for 10 days, so he can't be recalled yet, unless someone was going on the DL.

    I'd say a big reason for the success is depth. We have been able to weather multiple injuries without much of a dropoff by the replacements.

    Unfortunately, it sounds like there's a chance Yelich goes to the DL.

    Lopez and Houser have both shown they can get big league hitters out. Enough with the musical chairs.

    It sounds like Cain's DL stay should be the minimum. Even if Braun and Yelich avoid the DL, I could see Broxton sticking around after Cain comes back.

    How about 8 more wins by the break, then they can match their season win total from the 2002?

    And then there were none. I figured injuries would sort out the OF "logjam", but I never thought all 4 would be gone/out at the same time.
