  1. It's Bianchi back to Milwaukee for Figaro. Yay, more Herrera in the outfield.
  2. If they do bring back Bianchi, can we also get a real backup outfielder, too? Gindl has been heating up. Send Herrera and Figaro back down.
  3. Who could they be considering outside of Jeffress? They've talked about bringing up a position player soon, but I don't really see anyone worth adding to the 40 man at this point.
  4. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20140626&content_id=81789482&notebook_id=81790088&vkey=notebook_mil&c_id=mil
  5. Fielder is done for the season. I wonder if he'll ever be the same after having neck surgery. But I remember doing this exercise back in the 90's. You could have put together an all star team of former Brewers.
  6. Culvers is opening their first Chicago location in Wriggleyville. No drive through, but you'll be able to get a butter burger and custard after a Cub's game soon. It will be interesting to see how something so Wisconsin does there. http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/breaking/chi-culvers-chicago-wrigleyville-evanston-20140617,0,5212844.story
  7. Yeah, saddest part is he did it to himself.
  8. That would seem to be the Brewers MO. Develop the bat and don't worry about the defense until they get to Milwaukee.
  9. I was wondering how often this happens or if it is even possible any more? Chris Crawford was drafted by the Astros. He pitched in the summer, but they paid his way through Marquette, where he played basketball. Then he ended up getting drafted in the NBA and playing there for a few years. Can guys still sign a pro contract in baseball, but play another sport in college?
  10. I was going to predict third string catcheritis.
  11. They may not walk much, but they also don't strike out a lot. Gomez, Weeks and Reynolds are really the only big strike out guys. Maybe Davis, too.
  12. Man the infield depth is depressing throughout the system. Herrera is the only other non-1B infielder on the 40 man. After that you end up having to add someone like Velez or Falu. And who gets the call if a catcher gets hurt?
  13. So it's looking like Segura may start the season on the DL. How long before we see Overbay-Weeks-Bianchi-Reynolds infield in the regular season?
  14. Not a lot of flexibility on the 40 man either, for the inevitable injury. 10 pitchers, 2 1B, 1 IF, 1 OF.
  15. I always think about the Bucks taking Glen Robinson over Grant Hill. But it probably wasn't a huge difference, especially considering how much Hill was hurt later in his career.
  16. Yes, Antone Williamson a 1st round (4th pick) in 1994 and Chad Green 1st round (8th pick) in 1996. Neither made it to the majors and were higher picks than Arnett was. I was going to say Williamson too, but he actually did get a cup of coffee in Milwaukee.
  17. It's actually at Disneyland. The Walt Disney World version is now all full of Pooh.
  18. Michael Brantley signs a 4 year/$25 million contract to avoid arbitration. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/brantley-signs-4-extension-indians-174301452--mlb.html
  19. Does it seem odd to anyone else that Uecker and Aaron are the same age? It seems like Uecker has been old forever, while Aaron will always be that young player.
  20. I believe the reason there were no charges was because Krod and his girlfriend fled the country.
  21. Have the yearly breakdowns been reported yet? I'm curious how much money is being deferred.
