  1. I hate to say it, but these kinds of things tend to work themselves out. Lots of guys banged up already.
  2. I predict a 7 man pen to start and 14 position players with all the days off. Hader, Williams, Yardley, Suter, Lindblom are locks. I think Black and Wahl start on the DL. I think Topa gets optioned. That leaves the last 2 spots between Feyereisen, Rasmussen, Milner, and Hardy
  3. Just want to point out that Fiserv Forum has been e-ticket only since it opened. It did take some getting used to.
  4. I agree. I think they keep both McKinney and Vogelbach initially. It then comes down to who are the last 2 guys in the pen.
  5. Pretty good summary of the situation. https://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/mlb/brewers/2021/03/10/brewers-games-wont-streaming-services-year-and-heres-why/6923383002/
  6. Is it a concern that he's only played over 130 games twice in his career? I see a number of minor strains and injuries in 2017-2018, but no DL stints over the past 2 years.
  7. It also sounds like the standalone option will be pretty limited at first because they can't undercut their existing cable/satellite deals.
  8. Not sure what this all means, but Mark is selling a majority of his stake in his investment firm for $338 million. https://www.wsj.com/articles/sun-life-financial-to-buy-majority-stake-in-crescent-capital-11603365943
  9. Who was the Brewer who hurt himself trying to rip a phone book in half? Edit: Found it. Steve Sparks.
  10. If some hardcore fans have checked out, what about the casual fans? The longer this drags out, the more people stop caring about baseball. It's going to be that much harder to get the fans back whenever they do start playing again. Personally, I have no interest in baseball without fans.
  11. I have been wondering the same thing. How can a team like the Brewers survive with no money coming in from tickets, food, parking, etc. This could be the perfect time to finally fix the baseball TV revenue model.
  12. I only bought one of those kids club packs, so I'm only out a few bucks. I'm glad I procrastinated and didn't go ahead and buy the rest of the tickets for those games.
  13. Just saw that some lawsuits have been filed because MLB teams are not refunding tickets because the games are just postponed. And they are looking for class action status.
  14. Yes, what happens to all these businesses that are being forced to shutdown? Their expenses don't go to zero, when their income drops to zero. A lot of businesses are going to be bankrupt long before the shutdowns end.
  15. Depends on the buyout. If they do the buyout in 2029, he gets $2.5 million from 2031-2042 (12 years, $30 million). If they don't buyout, he gets $2.3 million from 2031-2041 (11 years, $28 million). Interestingly, Braun's deferred money ends in 2031, so they overlap by 1 year. And Garza's deferred money ends in 2021, right before Braun's kicks in. So they're paying deferred money from 2018-2042.
  16. I can't find the article now, but Braun predicted that Yelich will be the next Brewer in the HOF, since he knows he won't make it.
  17. https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/milwaukee-brewers/freddy-peralta-24582/ 2021 - $1 Million 2022 - $2.25 Million 2023 - $3.5 Million 2024 - $5.5 Million 2025 - $8 Million option 2026 - $8 Million option

  19. That's my take. Seems pretty light. No postseason ban or vacating their championship?
  20. Yeah, shouldn't the fine be closer to what they earned in postseason shares? They earned over $30 million when they won it all.
  21. Maybe they stretched the payroll in 2019. The payroll now is pretty close to where it was in 2018.
  22. The competition will light a fire under Arcia and he'll start raking and force them to play him a lot at SS. Then Urias will be mashing at 3B.
  23. Defensively, how much are we going to see Urias at 3B and Arcia at SS? Until/unless we get a 3B.
  24. I've got them at around $120 million, including buyouts.
