  1. mikevan must have went to the bathroom. how else can we explain 2 out offense in PNC???
  2. mikevan in the bathroom karma might be the only thing that can challenge the evil PNC demons
  3. Great, we went 1-2-3 in the 1st. Now maybe we'll score in some of the other 8 innings. Reversing the trend
  4. Good question. I think the Pittsburgh to DC flight is just a little over 1 hour total in the air time. So thankfully the Brewers arent like in Houston or on the West Coast. Unless the game doesnt start until around like 7 o'clock tonight...they should be fine tomorrow...especially considering its a night game in DC.
  5. Agreed mikevan. I'm flying to DC for work in the morning and actually have a ticket to the game at RFK on Friday. I'd much prefer to see a Sheets start over a Bush one...so I'm a tad bias for personal baseball watching enjoyment reasons. If FSN Wisconsin shows a guy sitting along the 1st base baseline wearing a Miller Beer Pen Blue Ringer T-see with the 1980's Brewers road hat on...that me!
  6. Bob said that neither starter had begun warm-ups.
  7. Yeah. I just emailed me friend who works in downtown Pittsburgh for a report. He says there should be baseball today. The real heavy stuff shouldn't hit until late tonight.
  8. Judging by that radar, I'd be surprised if there is baseball today. Thats a lot of red and orange about to drill Pittsburgh.
  9. Here are the line-ups... Hart-RF Hardy-SS Braun-3B Hall-CF Mench-LF Graffy-1B Miller-C Weeks-2B Sheets Bucs McLouth-CF Sanchez-2B Larouche-1B Nady-RF Doumit-C Bay-LF Bautista-3B Wilson-SS Gorzo
  10. Looks like Yost is giving Prince this game off. I expect the line-up to look something like this... Prince will get Thursday Off Hart-RF Hardy-SS Braun-3B Hall-CF Estrada-C Mench-LF Graffy or Miller-1B Weeks-2B Sheets
  11. I said at the beginning of this 10 game road trip that I'd be fine with 5-5, because that keeps us at 14 over .500 at the break. After 6 games we're at 2-4...so the Crew needs to go 3-1 or better to close out After the break, the Brewers have a 10 game homestand against the Rockies, Dbacks and Giants...pull off something like a 7-3 or better and we're looking at being close between 16-20 over near the end of July. That's just good. Two things I think that needs to improve in the 2nd half are road baseball and the consistency of starters not named Sheets. Besides Ben (and not counting Yo)...are there any other starters in the rotation you have absolute confidence in each time they take the mound? Not me.
  12. The stars seems aligned over the Cubs a tad more than the Crew at the moment...I mean we go to Pittsburgh and have to deal with Snell and Gorzo...Chicago comes in next and misses both. That's just a huge fortunate break for the Cubs. Over 162 games, though, that stuff usually evens out. What are the odd Jason Bergmann beats Sean Marshall on Thursday? 20-80? Here's to hope. I guess if the Crew takes care of business at 11:35 AM...it won't really matter.
  13. You gotta like this Snell kid. Good young pitcher. We'll see the same thing tomorrow with Gorzelanny. Pirates #1-2 starters for years to come. Hopefully, Sheeter can get the Crew a split. I guess I'll take that given how cursed the Brewers are in that dreaded ballpark.
  14. Likely Marte-Capps in these last two innings. What's up with these games 1st inning explosions followed by 8 innings of duds??
  15. The way Snell is pitching a comeback looks very unlikely, but if they can just get into that bullpen who knows
  16. Claudio is done. Its the 6th inning. Past performances don't lie.
  17. Oh-No! We're in the 6th with Vargas on the mound. That hasnt been a good combination all year... Reverse the curse, Claud
  18. That ball was murdered. Wow. As guessed, 3 is definitely not enough for Vargas. Hold it at 3. Maybe a rain delay will get us into the Pirates bullpen. Snell looks to have found his groove.
  19. Pittsburgh Radar www.wunderground.com/radar/radblast.asp?ID=PBZ
  20. Cant imagine 3 is enough for Claud. Gonna need to get some more runs before Snell turns it on.
  21. You know I gotta think this Gross start is more a Bill Hall thing. Billy has looked like an absolute confused turd in CF at PNC. He's had two really bad defensive games in a row...its like early April type of mistakes. Misjudging balls off the bat...taking bad routes etc. So i don't mind giving Billy a day to re-collect himself. Plus, maybe Ned is hoping Gross treats Snell like he did Freddy Garcia. I remeber that game back in Philly in May when Garcia dominated every Brewer but Gross. Gabe went yard twice in that game. Here's to hoping! Also why I am relived that we don't face Matt Chico this weekend in RFK? Thats odd.
  22. Line-up RF Hart SS Counsell 3B Braun 1B Prince C Estrada LF Jenkins CF Gross 2B Weeks P Vargas Bucs CF Mclouth 3B Bautista 2B Sanchez 1B LaRouche RF Doumit LF Nady C Paulino SS Wilson P Snell
