  1. Surely something he'll remember the rest of his life! Congratulations, that's amazing.
  2. Catherine Zeta-Jones in tights, in my opinion.
  3. Wisconsin is known as America's Dairyland due to the large number of dairy farms in the state. Lots of cows.
  4. Bought it a week ago for $30. /shakesfist
  5. Ahh, was not aware. I wonder what kind of wrench this cancellation throws in to the making of the movie. I agree with all of the above sentiments regarding the show's lifespan. No new plot twists, can't shock people with the same tricks anymore, and the best part of the show in its heyday was the shock value for lack of a better term.
  6. covered here
  7. The movie could end up being a prequel, I wouldn't rule anything out.
  8. Haven't read much in this thread (recently at least) about the job Skiles is doing as Head Coach. He really gets this team ready to play every night. Reminds me of the early Karl years... just hope the players don't eventually tune him out like they did with Karl. But anyway - Skiles deserves a boatload of consideration for Coach of the Year. Especially when you factor in the prognosticators view of this team in preseason.
  9. Blue text indicates sarcasm.
  10. 1.21 Jiggawatts. I looked it up.
  11. I don't know - any time you drink and go behind the wheel you are putting other people's lives in danger. If Washington did this in an environment where he was able to either fall asleep afterward or even get a ride home, I don't see how it's anywhere near as dangerous. The constant testing post-incident shows that it hasn't happened again. What are the odds that LaRussa has had a drink or two since his issue took place?
  12. Sure they could wait and see where the wind takes them. Or they could be prepared for something that may happen in the future by bringing someone in, getting them used to the system and players, and having them primed and ready should something take place. Makes more sense to me.
  13. Hi, I'm no one. Nice to meet you.
  14. I like how the guy at the end (forgot his name) had his earbud fall out, no doubt from the force of screaming producers coming through it at high volume.
  15. People make the joke often, but don't really understand the science behind it. Global temperatures rise, raising ocean temps and causing additional evaporation. This evaporation goes in to the atmosphere, creating more fuel for heavy winter storms. Whether it's man-made or just the earth playing its own tune that it has since it's been around, I don't pick a side. I can't even say these storms are caused by warming. But the science behind it is pretty simple.
  16. Meeks also had games of 21, 19, and 15. While outliers, they showed potential. Garbage time or not, he still had to put the ball in the basket. Time will tell as always.
  17. Thirded on google voice. Been using it for years, when it was Grandcentral. Awesome service.
  18. The way I see it - Leno's show was the one getting canceled, not Conan's. Now Conan is the one without a show. How does that make sense? Just horrible management in my opinion.
  19. I used to watch Conan nightly about 10 years ago, things happened and I didn't get a chance to see him for a while. Ever since he got the Tonight Show, I picked it back up and I have seen every single show via Hulu. Although Hulu is great due to the fact that you can watch it whenever you want, (Timeslots? Psshhh) the problem is that Hulu views don't count for ratings. I am not saying that Hulu is the reason that Conan's ratings are down 47% to Leno in his last year, but also you have to look at Leno's first seven months on the job to have a more clear picture. Since times were so different and there were less overall viewers then than there are now, its really not possible to get a clear comparison ratings wise. The only way to do that would be if they were competing on separate networks during the same slot, which may actually happen soon although unlikely. I am really disgusted with the whole ordeal. NBC and Leno are really the villains here. Bias or not, Conan got a raw deal here.
  20. I realize that I have a bias in this discussion and I will defend the city I live in to a fault, just as I did when I lived in Milwaukee. That said, I don't understand why "the NBA crowd" decided not to tip people this one weekend and don't do that thing the rest of the season in cities around the US. One idea I have in my mind is that this was a one-off scenario, a party type experience. If the NBA was here on a regular basis, do you really think "the NBA crowd" would continue to not tip people? If so, I have no idea why this does not apply to any other NBA city. I highly doubt the same crowd that showed up for the NBA All-Star Game would show up regularly if a team was in town. NBA players do have entourages, some less scrupulous than others. When the whole league is focused on one city and celebrating themselves, it's possible that things can get out of hand. Neither here nor there, I know. I just really want to see a team here, and I see no reason whatsoever why a team wouldn't be successful.
  21. Let's remember who the big problem was who made all the noise - Pacman Jones, an NFL player. What happened at the All Star game could have happened during a boxing or MMA fight, or any old weekend as Javon Walker might tell you. It had nothing to do specifically with the NBA. It's people not being able to take responsibility for their own character. UNLV has done quite well in this city. I would love to see an NBA team come here. I was almost hoping for the Bucks to move here, but I am just as happy (actually moreso) that they have a new spark in Jennings who could really start to bring crowds back to the BC. Edit: as far as gambling concerns, these have not stopped Boxing matches and MMA fights from coming here on a regular basis. This city is actually one of the safest in defending against that sort of thing, based on the nature of the city. There is more of a focus on preventing fixed sporting events here than anywhere else in the country.
  22. He used to be called Young Money in High School, has a tattoo of it in writing on his upper back. When he was drafted by the Bucks, he said he thinks it should be Young Buck.
  23. The only real problem I see with it is that he was driving while smoking. While many people will say it makes you more cautious and makes you drive slower, that must be a case-by-case basis since he was pulled over for speeding. In addition to speeding he was driving while impaired. This is almost equal to the LaRussa situation. It's not like Tim was passed out at the wheel. Granted I agree that weed is nowhere near as dangerous as alcohol, but that's another discussion for another time and place.
