  1. Hitters need their teammates on base to get high RBI numbers, so it's not really a good individual stat. It's more of a team stat.
  2. At the start of '06, SI (I think it was SI) had him listed as the number one prospect in all of baseball. Prince Fielder and Rickie Weeks were much lower in the list.

    RB

    Randy Breuer. Ricky Bones.
  4. I get what you are saying, but if your future earning potential depended on you working, you'd probably want to work to try to increase that potential. There is also the problem of him not working up to the level that he should be and the level that his co-workers could if they shared his time. That being the case, he really has no one to blame but himself.
  5. I was at a game a couple years ago, also sitting in the club level. I had nachos, I can't recall if they were as massive as your pic, but I do remember that they rocked. They actually rocked enough for me to keep one hand on them while I used my other hand to try to catch a foul ball off of Jenk's bat. The guy next to me had two hands on the ball to beat my one. I lost the ball, but did not lose any of my nachos.
  6. What's really fun is having them in both ears. It feels like you are constantly underwater.
  7. I was thinking Jim Thome on the other pic.
  8. I think Ben Sheets is going a little Jerry West in this pic... could this be anyone else? http://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/eec35c524d799bdad6a46b5d7d7e11443668be3.pjpg
  9. How do you guys like this one? I found an awesome pic of a greater mole rat and didn't photoshop it. I think it looks sweet!
  10. Would it really bother you that much if they did it after a loss? It's not like they are out causing a ruckus, getting in trouble with the law, or anything like that. They are getting comfortable for crying out loud. I realize that this may be a bit rough on some people's delicate sensibilities.
  11. Let's try to watch more than 13 PAs before deciding whether or not it was a good decision. I'm not saying it was or it wasn't a good decision, I'm saying it is way too early to tell either way.
  12. I would put money on the assumption that all that would do is get rid of one excuse for his lack of power.
  13. If I was in town I would definitely go. As it stands, I will be attending the charity golf tournament for children with learning disabilities held by my family here in Las Vegas next weekend, and entrance is the same fee. Charity events aren't meant to be cheap - they are called fund raisers for a reason. If you want cheap, go to McDonald's and get a burger and drop your change in the Ronald McDonald bucket if you are feeling charitable.
  14. Aliens in Denver? Unlikely. Actually if I were an alien and I showed up on this planet, I have no idea where I would go first.
  15. After a recent power outage here, a family member finally has a reason to step up and buy a serious UPS for a room full of computers used for his business. He has asked me to look into getting something to make sure that the computers don't just go down as soon as there is an outage. What I need is a UPS strong enough to power 8+ computers. The monitors I could care less about, so I will just need to power the towers. They are all relatively close to each other, so they could all run off of one UPS in theory. I would like to know if this is not a good idea in practice and it would be better to get more than one UPS to serve this purpose. If one UPS would work fine, what specs should I look for in a UPS? Should I be more interested in the wattage rating or the amps? Any models or brands that you would recommend? I was thinking of going with APC as they seem to have a pretty good grasp on the market. Looking forward to any info you may have for me.
  16. Oops. One of those days then. You guys do realize it happened one day recently and are just being difficult, right? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  17. Sunday reminded me how muched I did not missed 3TO for the past couple years. A GOLDEN SOMBRERO!! Umm, Branyan hit a HR today and walked. He said Sunday.
  18. One with an open mind could say the same about baseball...why play any more than just the 9th inning?
  19. I know a Technics 1200 when I see one. I also know the Amen quite well. The handful of crates of records still sitting in my mom's garage in Wisconsin will prove that. Heh.
  20. I remember that... I grew up in Greendale (right next to Greenfield for those unaware) and we were definitely hit pretty hard by the winds too. I remember lots of trees down and lots of commercial signage down as well. I remember the gas station sign at the corner of 76th and Layton was taken out. For some reason that sticks out in my memory.
  21. The decision to move Hall from 2nd was Hall's decision and not Ned's. Billy said as much in the Trenni post game interview.
  22. I so love it more when people show class. Way to be Billy. Step up and show us who you really are.
  23. Although Braun's season last year was off-the-charts good, I think Bruce has a chance to put up numbers similar to what we saw from Braun last year.
