  1. Brown wants to coach somewhere that he can win. This seems to take the Bucks out of the running immediately. I'd love to see him at Marquette, though.
  2. Did Darren Horn take a job yet? He's a pretty easy choice if he hasn't.
  3. Bon Iver - "Blindsided" My favorite song on one of my favorite albums. The entire album is actually in spots 1-9, followed by "Dear Chicago" by Ryan Adams. I'm more of an album person, so it makes sense, I guess. The only time I listen to single tracks is when I shuffle.
  4. I'm a big Floyd Mayweather fan, and usually order WrestleMania, but I'm just not feeling this one. I don't think I'm going to order it.
  5. I was in favor of signing Lilly last offseason (and trading for him during the '06 season when he was supposed to be available) based mostly on his K's, and I always thought that once he got away from the AL East, especially into the NL, he could be a really solid #2 starter. It was a good move for the Cubs. I would also point out that last year was his third really good season out of the past four, and he was injured and jerked around quite a bit in his one bad season in that stretch ('05). He's a good pitcher. The Brewers didn't have a shot at him in FA, though, but I don't think he talked to anyone but the Cubs. IIRC, he signed really early in the process.
  6. I have Kansas beating UCLA, so I'm sitting pretty good right now. I also have Texas in the Final Four, beating Memphis. Looking back, I probably should have picked UNC over Louisville, but everyone was, so I figured I'd pick UL. Still, if I get 3/4, and have that play out for me, I've got a pretty good shot at like $100 at work, which isn't too bad.
  7. I don't think I want any part of Prince Fielder in his 30's, and definitely not all the way till he's 34.
  8. Cinnamon Toast Crunch rules because of how great the milk tastes (I use a lot of milk in my cereal) after you eat all the cereal. If Fruit Loops didn't get so soggy, I'd like them more. But, they are basically made of nothing but sugar, so it's easy to see why they fall apart. I also eat the Quaker Oatmeal Squares, I had the cinnamon flavor this morning.
  9. Well, it's not over, but rooting for Louisville doesn't feel too great right now. They can hang with them, but they've got to maybe think about stopping the press (which is like asking Bo Ryan to play a zone) and starting to box out.
  10. I think Louisville/UNC is the game of the tournament (go Louisville, daddy needs 4 for 4 on final four picks).
  11. Well, then I hope they stay at WTMJ, or that Powell becomes an employee of the team if they don't.
  12. The F.O.'s interest in Dave Roberts is unsettling at times. There aren't a whole lot guys that I'd pick Gwynn over, but Roberts is one of them, for sure.
  13. Best of luck to the guy. Always a big fan. The "Sharpie" nickname comes from his 'stache looking like it was drawn on with a Sharpie.
  14. As far as Jim Powell goes, I think he'd be part of the package no matter who carries the games. Pretty sure he and Uecker work for the Brewers, not the radio station.
  15. Yeah, I kind of did, too. I mean... he mentioned the wolf.
  16. Best booing ever = booing the throw to first base to keep a runner close.
  17. I'm totally spacing on the name, that Kevin Costner one he did after FoD when he was at that Civil War outpost, and as he was taken away, the soldiers shot and killed the wolf he had befriended. that scene was a good one. Dances With Wolves? Speaking of animal abuse causing crying. I remember bawling every time during White Fang when the main character is yelling at White Fang to leave and like hitting him with a belt or something. That was very traumatic to me when I was about 8 years old.
  18. I think the reason for that is that he wasn't playing the AAU circuit, at least that's what it seems like was the reason. He was also pretty small in HS, too. I actually think he might even play four years of college ball.
  19. I wasn't "picking on" Krabbenhoft. When I said he was a chump in this thread, it was after his 100 yard inbounds pass and stupid reach-in after a Davidson rebound.
  20. I'm just saying it wasn't anything more than the Kevin Love hype. He's the one in the corner of my SI cover. With the bigger feature in my SI, also. And who gets more hype than Psycho T/UNC?
  21. What happened in the Florida-UCLA title game, that had nothing to do with a Cinderella. Just non-compelling teams. They would have been even lower had George Mason been there. And I think it was on American Idol night.
  22. I guess anytime there are cries of conspiracy, that's usually the reason, like "the refs want a NY team there" in football. What other reason would they have? They just didn't like the Badgers?
  23. Davidson might not, either. But you're point was that ratings don't go down when Cinderellas advance. But they do.
