  1. Wow. So much for the whole "the team should be looking at defense-first guys! They have enough offense!" thing.
  2. I think this just says much more about the state of the Brewers minor league catchers than it does about Rottino.
  3. Two days off per month should be just enough to get Griffey on the DL by the end of May for sure.
  4. I would have been shocked if that collision didn't cause some lasting problems.
  5. Google
  6. So does this mean the pitcher hits 7th now?
  7. Comcast Sports Net Chicago
  8. But it looks like he's made the team and sent super prospect Stewart back to the minors. It's March 10th! And I'm not sure what the Brewers' use for him would have been.
  9. So long as he's not hurt, I'm not worried at all. It's spring training.
  10. Pink Flamingos Word.
  11. I think there should be a "Small Sample Police" one, maybe.
  12. He's also very funny in Magnolia.
  13. Duke was a starter virtually his entire minor league career, and a good one at the upper levels, because he has multiple pitches. I think moving him to the rotation is a pretty good idea. It's possibly the only option for him right now, too, since I don't think his arm can handle the lack of rest that comes with relieving anymore. Also, he's never imploded like Turnbow. He got injured. Otherwise he was still an all-star caliber reliver. I don't think Turnbow would be as good of an idea.
  14. Along with quite a few already listed: Revenge of the Nerds Anything Woody Allen in the '70's - Sleeper, Everything You Wanted to Know, Annie Hall, Love and Death, Manhattan
  15. I think you got laughed off the thread because there was no way the Rays would ever EVER trade Carl Crawford for Chris Capuano. EDIT: After reading the thread (it's archived on page 42) you were correct. I actually said I would trade Gallardo for Crawford, and I might still. I guess I didn't remember people here having so much value placed on Capuano (I didn't, that I can recall).
  16. Not only is this the best Brewers board, it's the best baseball board, period.
  17. Damn you Carl Monday!
  18. Ron & Fez
  19. I do love going to Alpine, I am hoping for Radiohead there this summer, and I saw Rage there last year, but Buffet just seems like something I don't want to see. It just seems like it'd be a bunch of 50 year olds drinking margaritas and trying to be 20 again. Kind of like seeing REO at the fair, or something.
  20. I honestly don't think that there's any better way to say it: Jimmy Buffet at Alpine Valley is simply one of those items that is on the 'Must do before death' list. No offense of course... but if my two choices are Buffet and death, I'm probably leaning hard towards death.
  21. 1. Goodfellas 2. The Godfather 3. The Godfather II 4. Reservoir Dogs 5. Mean Streets I guess there's really not a lot of them that get it "right". Most gangster movies tend to fall into the same traps and tired cliches.
  22. I could see it being Riske. I wouldn't expect it to be Gagne, for sure. Most likely someone who isn't on the roster right now, probably acquired via trade next offseason.
