It was great to see all the youngsters out there today...although it would have been better in a Brewers blowout, not the other way around. As great as Gamel was at AA...there is no need to rush him. Just seeing him out there today reminds me of how these guys still have to physically mature. He looked so skinny out there in comparison with the 26-28 year old Brewers. Give him a few ABs, get him the taste and look forward to him raking at Nashville. As bad as Billy Hall looks...and it has been truly painful to watch...I think you stick with Hall/maybe Counsell. At least for the defense.
Man, that bullpen is bad. You think it would drive a manager to drink...and drive. That is classic...after that last series, I love any TLR humor!!! At least with the Cards their awfulness has held true...not so much for the Mets. C'mon Nats!!! They are showing some fight here.

Great point bucks, not only do the Phillies have to overtake us, but so do the Mets. They play each other this weekend while we've got the Padres. Granted, they'll be feasting on the Braves and Nats over the last few weeks, but our odds of getting the WC remain very good. When I was watching the series versus the Cubs, I just got that ill feeling we were going to lose...the Cubs were hot and the Brewers got steamrolled. In the games versus the Mets...it just seemed like one or two plays here and there and its a different outcome. If we make the playoffs, the teams will likely be evenly matched and it will come down to a few key differentiating plays. We'll see if the Crew can find out a way to make them.
Wouldn't the times be determined by which game is farther west? Therefore if the Cubs are playing an NL West team that weekend...wouldn't they have the later time?
Tonight is my first time sitting in a luxury box at Miller Park. Can anyone tell me what i should expect for food/drink options? Apparently you should not expect to drink any Miller High Life.
Thanks lcbj68c!!! If you or anyone else gets a read on those potential game times for that weekend, please post them. I was already coming home for the Badger game...but that weekend could now get a lot more interesting!!! It's tough to figure out the flight times.
Barring Sheets being worse than they are letting on...the pressing need is in the pen. A 7/8 inning role for Yo could be huge. He would probably take McClung's spot on the roster. We'll only have 4 starters in the post-season, so they would have some long relief help from there anyway.
Correct me if I am wrong, but are the series played like this? NLDS - 2-2-1 NLCS - 2-3-2 WS - 2-3-2 So IF the Brewers win the wild card, they could play at Miller Park: Oct. 4, 5 Oct. 12, 13, 15 Oct. 25, 26, 27
Then I looked it up: he has allowed a .390 OBP to first batters faced, which is not what you want with bases loaded. Great point...he is better starting an inning clean. It is more about putting your best arm in the highest leverage situation. I'd rather see our best pitcher in with the bases jammed and the top of the order coming and have our #2 guy go against 5-7 (depending on how he does) in the 9th even though its a "save" situation.
