  1. Ha, I had heard Casablanca was a top notch one! Ya, I agree that pixar movies are so visually stunning that I was assuming they'd be top notch on Blu-ray.
  2. Ya the runs should not have scored but unless the game has a lot of meaning or is close I don't think I would have argued really. And yes, if it is a force at any base, if you tag the runner it's still a force out. The runner has to advance, that is the key, not how he was put out.
  3. Well, we bought Band of Brothers on Blu Ray (even though I already had it, thought it was about as epic of a mini series as there is). I have the non blu ray of planet earth...not sure if I'll upgrade. We were talking last night and LOTR came up along with Gladiator and Braveheart. So we are on the same page here! We watched Gone in 60 seconds last night and it was great! We also bought Batman Dark Knight and Italian Job, amongst a few others. Pretty excited for Batman, think I'll try that tonight. Didn't think I'd get in to the Blu Ray thing that much, but when it's on a good screen it's really amazing.
  4. Great advice everyone! North End was a for sure, can't wait to get some good grub there. Also, my wife loves lobster rolls, so that will be a must too! I really appreciate all the help! Looking forward to the freedom trail and Fenway. Yanks play the Saux that weekend in NY. I think we will watch the game in a bar near Fenway, just for the experience.
  5. Just upgraded my TV and after watching one Blu-Ray I'm itching for more. Just curious what peoples must buys are.
  6. Thanks guys, I think the freedom trail sounds like the perfect type of thing for me. I like going at my own place and trying out random places. I think that would be good because you can veer off at any point. Keep em coming if you got any other input! As Turnbow would say....Preesh.
  7. My wife and I are going to head out to Boston this summer for a weekend and then heading to Newport after that. I was curious if anyone had any advice on what is a must see out there. I don't like to do stuff that is too touristy but I would love to see the Fenway neighborhood (they don't play that weekend). Love off the main path restaurants Love good Italian food Since this is our first trip out there I'm guessing we should see a few "touristy spots" We enjoy a good pub Not opposed to driving outside of Boston maybe to the south to see a beach town if anyone knows of a great one Any advice would be awesome! Thanks in advance.
  8. I think linkedin is useful for some industries. Recruiters and HR people do use it quite a bit. If you have accomplishments or a job history that really stands out, you will get use out of it. The more active you are with it the better off you are. You can seek out the type of contacts you want to make instead of sitting back and waiting.
  9. That was not a bad trade at all. Hardy was terrible, and was terrible the next year. Lots of fans wanted him moved off SS. We had escobar coming up, Hardy had zero value. We got a guy that is as god as they get in CF and lacks at the plate. He then traded away escobar, yes, but that has nothing to do with the actual trade of Hardy (when it was made). Hardy would have been a hated man in Milwaukee after the years he put up.
  10. Really think you have to trade him. I love the kid but he's getting slow in the OF and isn't elite. I think we could maybe get a good prospect for him and the key is he'll be cheap. I think that's the move.
  11. I too thout that was soup! Manny posted a pic of himself on twitter, he's the one in the green in the front with the hat sideways.
  12. Good stuff! Saw some pics on twitter last night. Kottaras looked awesome!
  13. This is such an amazing mini series! I watch it once a year, maybe twice. Each time it really does get better. Every time I watch it, when I get to the last few episodes, I begin to get angry that it's almost done. It's just so good that I want it to keep going. Good Good stuff!
  14. Is the NBA even still playing? I haven't watched an NBA game since Sidney Moncrief was a Buck. lol That's impressive! I actually enjoy the playoffs but it's hard for me to get in to the regular season.
  15. ha, now that's a bold statement! I'd say that the passes in this game are clocked at a higher mph than Soup's were.
  16. I'm all about pitchers when it comes to drafting but we really needed to get some bats in the system so I'm very excited about the picks. I really hope they work out. On paper, good work so far DM.
  17. Should have been a close game, but good point on the sleep schedule.
  18. I was pretty excited about that lineup before weeks had to be scratched. Oh well, keep it rolling today boys! Glad I can stay up for the whole dang game tonight. Almost made it last night!
  19. I really should be in bed but I very much enjoy watching these west coast games. I wish I was at least in central time zone right now!
