  1. We do have a few reporters that are pretty responsive on Twitter though. If you are giving them intelligent and relevant questions to pass along to team personnel they run into ... they aren't against it. Start tweeting at Tom
  2. I agree... although that would depend on how much they believe in Dubon? If Huira is the 2B next year and beyond and they think Dubon = Arcia ... then Arcia becomes expendable. I don't know what I think at this point... but including Arcia in the deal at this point isn't unthinkable.
  3. Problem with that is Peralta can be wild for an inning, not sure I want him coming out of the pen. He's best working 5-6 innings at a time where he can comfortable and get on a roll. Then he is the perfect piggyback to Suter. Suter can't go 3 times through the order... so Brent should start and pitch the first 4-5 innings and Freddy can finish the game. The difference in pitching styles is pretty drastic too, should be a nice combo.
  4. We almost certainly are going to be trading people from our 40 man before this deadline is over. This offseason a whole slew of players are going to need protecting from the Rule 5. Ortiz, Kodi, Kirby, Torres-Costa... amongst others. Stearns has a surplus and I would be willing to bet he offloads some of it to help with our run at it this season.
  5. If Vegas gets a baseball team also that city jumps straight into my "top 3 places to retire" list... Wake up, golf, gamble, golf, baseball, gamble, people watch, sleep. Repeat.
  6. "40 man roster really is loaded" "I agree there's not much dead weight on the 40" Long have I longed to hear these things re: Milwaukee Brewers baseball. It is a great time to be alive people.
  7. JospehC ... what do you do for a living? If you wrote about baseball I would read everything you published... just saying.
  8. That pitch Yelich hit was really high and outside. Also, my favorite live call ever might be Jhonny Estrada rounding 3rd trying to score on a double from 1st and the live call being "Estrada rounding 3rd with a piano on his back!"
  9. So... If on opening day I would have told you that on July 10th we would have the best record in the National League AND that day our 5-8 in our lineup would be Tyler Saladino, Brad Miller, Keon Broxton, and Erik Kratz ... what kind of feelings would you have provided me?
  10. It will be incredibly hard for Aguilar to win this vote. The 4 other markets Milwaukee is competing against to vote are Frisco, St Louis, Washington, and Los Angeles. I'd like to think neutral fans will vote on merit and Aguilar will steal some of those votes ... but the hometown angle will gain some for Trea and Muncy is a cool story so I'm sure he will get some of them as well. With that said, let's get it done. Jesus deserves it.
  11. Zagurski out, Braun out, Pina out, Arcia out, Sogard out ... Who is the new whipping boy?!? Jennings was trending but gave himself a nice boost. Is it Barnes after one bad outing? Back to Villar?!
  12. So Woodruff gets scratched from his start but is not brought up... trade talks much?
  13. Welcome to the big league Corbin Burnes. Stay awhile.
  14. Nice. Thanks for the crystal ball. I won't watch today. I will bet you $1,000 Sogard won't get any at bats for the Crew today. I'll bet 5 million Sogard doesn't see an AB today. Geez. Obviously there are different levels of fandom and casual fans are great to have, etc.. but to come here and say so many outlandish things and then follow it up by proving you don't really follow the team all that seriously is kind of funny..

  16. You must have missed the thread on the front page with "Wilkerson starting tomorrow" in the title... I did miss it. My reaction remains the same. Fair enough. Out of curiosity, who would you have started? I'm assuming Woodruff...

  18. Well he would probably win manager of the year if the season ended today. Nope unless we win 95 and Atlanta doesnt win 90+. There will be more attention on Atlanta's manager than Milw. Crap team for years now leading the East division. The Brewers have the best record in the National League with a starting rotation of a poor Chase Anderson, Jhoulys Chacin, a guy who throws a 73 mph fastball, a bad Zach Davies, (insert whatever pitcher we call up from AAA here), and a semi surprisingly great Peralta. We have seen 500 combined at bats from Eric Sogard, Orlando Arcia, and Manny Pina which have equaled the offensive production of our pitching staff. Counsell should get manager of the year this year and next year for what he has done thus far in 2018. He goofed tonight with his late hook of Barnes, but Jennings seemed to work out ok amid all of our protests. He gets a mulligan once in a while too.
  19. I agree. It is his fault .. however .. when it is obvious the guy doesn't have it and you take 3 batters too long to address that issue.
