That bullpen chart >>>>> Having Drohan and Patrick giving the rest of the pen full reset days is incredible. What a gift to be able to say "we need to get this guy some work" going into games... 6 of our 8 guys have only thrown once in the last 5 days. Incredible.

No Vaughn... But as someone mentioned earlier it would seem an easy transition to pinch hit Vaughn for Mitchell whenever necessary and move Bauers to left.

Payne's power does not make any sense to me. It seems like his weight is out completely on his front foot at contact. Exact opposite of Sal Frelick's swing.

I dunno, I would bet 90% of Twins fans couldn't have named a single starter we were throwing at them before that series started. We just beat the Cubs yesterday with 9 innings on Brandon Sproat and Shane Drohan. Go read through the Cubs Reddit game thread and see if Cubs fans knew anything about the two guys that just out pitched their ace. Some may be tired of the ho hum schtick but it likely is and will always be the main motivating button for 70% of our roster. We are a team of misfits and overlooked guys who out perform our projections partially BECAUSE our coach puts those chips on their shoulders. The few you named (Yeli, Bill, Brice, etc) are the guys who don't need it or who are motivated in a different way. But if Vaughn and Bauers and Megill and every starter we have not named Jacob or Woodruff, etc all gain a superpower because they believe they have been slighted by another team or org, etc... awesome. Let's lean into it.

Can I ask why? Being disrespected is such a big motivator to perform. If it doesn't happen naturally and you can manufacture it yourself to give yourself an edge .. isn't that a good thing? Michael Jordan was the king at creating fake disrespect from an opponent to light his own fire.

BRef numbers: Hamilton .4WAR Mona .2WAR If Mona -> Hamilton was the part of the trade the Brewers 'missed' on then this was the heist of the century. I don't mind someone liking Mona over Hamilton as a player but I'm pretty firm personally on who is the better fit for this specific team. Having a LH shortstop option to spell Ortiz has been a very underappreciated value add.

Amazing win last night. If the Cubs can beat Miz today that brings momentum right back to them going into the finale. If we take Gm 2 they might straight melt down. Their Reddit board last night was a treat.

You must not be following the chat. Ortiz got on base all 4 times today. Today we are mad at Hamilton and Rengifo and a little bit Gasser and probably still Perkins somehow. Check back in tomorrow for the usual Ortiz fury I would think.
