  1. I imagine Payamps will discover an injury tomorrow.
  2. Whatever is happening right now is not ok.
  3. I just saw Chafin's name... He is pitching for a Triple A squad somewhere.
  4. Oh. Nevermind. I thought Murph and I were on the same page but we are reading different books.
  5. It's wild that half of our lineup would raise their average with a 1-5 night..
  6. So Mears is the new Payamps until Yoho is the new Payamps.
  7. Woodruff touching 95 tonight. That's exciting!
  8. Trivia Question: Through 14 games who is the Brewers current leader in OBP and OPS? (((Small sample size stat alert!!!!))) . . . . . . Jake Bauers (.412 OBP - .950 OPS)
  9. There is a a Draftkings sports book directly across the street from Wrigley as well.
  10. I know he is making a broader point but Cortes is just not the guy to use as your bridge to do so right now. He is in a contract year. The very last thing he wants to do right now is underperform and/or get hurt.
  11. ?? Boss hires you to do work at contracted price. You get hurt doing the work for the boss. Boss tells you he is no longer paying you, you have to go home and fix yourself, and he will pay you if and when you come back healthy enough to work?
  12. Yelich is going to take an 0-4 on the day but he came up twice with a runner on 3rd and less than two outs and got the run home both times... mental note.
  13. For as much belly aching as I and we like to do over the contact play ... need to admit when it works. Capra had a good jump.
  14. Both the Brewers and Cortes are running businesses. Cortes probably has $30-$80 million dollars left in his arm for his career if he can manage it correctly. If you are him, why on earth would you risk blowing it up unnecessarily? If he is healthy, go out there and compete and improve your stock/play the game. If you are not healthy, get healthy.
  15. Patrick. Alexander. Last year Myers. I'm not saying you are wrong but I do think there has to be room to give guys chances. Some times they don't work out. Good to find out early and fix rather than late and panic.
  16. Quintana 57 pitches through 5 innings. Golly does it feel good to be on this side of his nonsense.
  17. Of all the ways to get Chourio out on that fly ball to center... Hitting the cut off man is likely not one of them..
  18. Second and third with nobody out... Arizona has us right where they want us.
  19. For our sake, hopefully this is a Jeremy Jeffress 2.0 situation. I don't wish that for him though..
  20. It was my first time trying it ... it was super slick.
  21. I say this as gently as possible and with genuine curiousity - I wonder what kind of 3rd baseman we could have gotten for Yophery + the pick + the PTBNL?
  22. I was 100% in the camp thinking Hoskins would bounce back for us. I also currently would 100% rather have Bauers hitting in any situation.
  23. So much good mojo with the team right now and fan base. Low key important game because this trade for many was a palm to forehead moment. If it doesn't go well there will be chirping. Here is to hoping we didn't use up all of our ammo last night offensively.
