  1. I'm not going to be overbearing about following and comparing Suarez/McMahon to our 3b the rest of the way... But this was as hostile a trade deadline as I can remember with the demand of a good portion of the fan base for one specific position... So I'll be keeping an eye on it for sure to see how it pans out Seigler/our 3b did have more hits yesterday than Suarez/McMahon combined for those keeping track..
  2. $12mil/yr for a bench bat though :(
  3. If you Google his name you should be able to find some links to his stat lines on the season, then you would just need to only look at the last 25 at bats, those would be his New York stats. Also while you are there take a peak at the offensive production of our 3b during that same time frame ;)
  4. So if in the next 10 years we win the division 6 times, make the playoffs 8 times, make it to the NLCS 3 times and make 2 world series but never win the whole thing ... are we still not trusting that the FO is doing something right because we don't have a title?
  5. Oh no now Jansen getting on base and scoring. What a disaster of a night for the trade deadline doom squad.. 😂 😂 😂
  6. I'm not disagreeing with you because I would not have started him or played him or traded for him... BUT ... Maybe there is something to this irrational belief that we are shoving down all these misfits faces that are causing them to believe in themselves finally and thrive?
  7. We will see them for a few weeks later this year when one of Ortiz or Durbin gets hurt for a minute. But yes.. they are due back in October.
  8. Mona getting big hits. Ortiz getting big hits. A certain few who lost their minds at the deadline yesterday must be sick.
  9. Yeah I'm going to avoid the IGT for awhile. They are toxic enough as is and we have the best record in baseball. Can't imagine how they will be if we slip a bit here. Once the hurt of the trade deadline passes I'll find my way back..
  10. I know we all felt bad that he lost his job and rightfully so... But the only question whether he stayed with us was whether he was going to be too hurt at the release to stay. The best way for Haase to help the Brewers was to be in Nashville working with Myers, Henderson, Patrick and the new arms soon coming up from AA. This is great.
  11. You are doing the same thing. You are upset over something you don't know. I have stated my support for wanting to address the infield. But there is a spectrum of what happened today/the last few days. On one extreme, there is a chance Arnold didn't make a single phone call and rejected every incoming call and refused to try to improve the roster. On the other extreme, he offered a package of Made, Pena, Pratt, and Mis for any shortstop on every other team's roster. The truth is somewhere between those two extremes but you are all upset and acting like the truth is very close to the first thing I said, and unless you have some inside info you would like to tell the class, I find it peculiar that you would allow yourself to get worked up over a narrative you are creating.
  12. But you are getting upset over a hypothetical. You don't know if acquiring anyone improves our odds. I would have liked to address the infield as well. But we got Schoop and it made us worse. We got Chafin and it made us worse. How do we know Gasser doesn't pitch well enough to push Miz to the pen and our pen dominates? How do we know acquiring a new 3rd baseman doesn't push Durbin to second and Turang to short and makes our defense 8% worse overall? It is okay to be disappointed in today's outcome but to make 614 posts about how the organization and team failed us over something that you can't prove until the season is over seems a little overkill. You are preaching over a hypothetical.
  13. I agree with you but I'm putting an asterisk on this ... lot of DFAs and roster shuffling incoming around the league. I would have loved a bonafide stud as well, but there should be some options that are more the Brewers fancy (low cost) hitting the market for us to look at shortly.
  14. We could have added a prime Walter Johnson to this roster for free and people would have been mad we didn't address the hot dog prices in the 3rd base concourse at the deadline...
  15. Brewers fans "MARK A IS SO CHEAP" Brewers add salary to bring in a sub 2 ERA reliever.. Brewers fans "WHY ARE WE JUST WASTING MONEY?!"
  16. Brewers fans "DO SOMETHING!" *Brewers acquire a sub 2 ERA reliver for free* Brewers fans "WHAT ARE WE DOING, DONT DO THAT IT MAKES NO SENSE"
  17. 24th hour moves! We are buyers after all!
  18. I'm not positive but I think the twins might only have like 16 guys on their 40-man roster after today.
  19. You all just wait until some under performing SS is DFA'd to make room for someone who was just acquired and we scoop him up and he hits .315 the rest of the way for us ...
  20. So I think we were officially sellers today, no?
  21. I secretly enjoy it as well. Same as Packers FA ... everyone knows what is about to happen but get all worked up over the dreams of what could be, then explode of what never is. I feel bad a little for them.
  22. The Padres have no prospects left... this might be a big leaguer for big leaguer deal.
  23. Oh this will be rich. I'm sure fans here will love that we added prospects at the deadline haha
