    As someone mentioned earlier, it also bums me out because our AAA arms must not be options right now? We don't like them enough to give them a chance before trading away all of that?

    Oh gosh, I originally read this trade as we got Quinn AND the pick and a PTBNL for Yophery and my thought was .. "dang, I liked Yophery but cool". I don't know much about Priester but I'm going to trust the brass. Secondary thoughts are that the injuries to the staff are not progressing the way we want them too, which is also a deep breath moment.

    I could be very wrong but I would be shocked if any of those places have had a position become available and didn't at least inquire. How many of the sideline reporters in those current markets are bilingual? Genuine question. Especially in those markets, Sophia would be worth 2x to the viewers in those places. She is very, very good at what she does for us and those other places have so many more eyes on their product. I liked Trenni and she was poached so quickly. Until I'm told otherwise I have to believe Sophia has chosen to stay in lieu of other opportunities. Again, I could be wrong.

    I have no information on this but I have to assume she has been offered. I'm assuming her being from here gives the Brewers the chance they need to keep her .. hopefully they have given her the bump each time she is approached to warrant her staying.

    Nevermind. 1000 IQ play by Ortiz Bunt Bauers to 2nd so the wild pitch puts him into scoring position for the actual safety swinging bunt from Dunn. Brilliant.

    Ok, I trust the process but not quite sure why we are safety bunting with no outs with runners on the corners and a 2-1 count? Ortiz when I said earlier that today would be a great day for a breakout at the plate... Not quite what I envisioned.

    Of course it is, all I'm saying is we have 80 something games to go before the trade deadline is here. Let's get our hands dirty and figure this thing out during those games. Throwing our hands up now and saying "well hopefully we get someone at the deadline to fix 3b" is a wild one for me this early.

    8 games in. 30 combined at bats. Durbin, Mona, Boeve, etc to still vet below... and we are turning our eyes to a late July trade deadline acquisition "if we are still in it"? Genuine question, do you enjoy the process of the season at all? Not mad if not ... I have a brother that shows up for the playoff push and always asks how we got here and needs to be filled in on the season. But man, let's work through the process a little bit here.

    Hudson hasn't been the same since his oblique injury last summer. We had to send him down for almost all of September. Here is to hoping to gets his mojo back.

    The bad news... both Yeli and Contreras are hitting under .100 on the season ... which is wild. The good news. The Brewers are .500 while Yeli and Contreras are hitting under .100 on the season.

    Not sure if I will be home in time to head over to catch the TRats opener but I'm going to try. Chourio jersey giveaway on Sunday so a few of us are trying to make that game as well.

    Please, please let Contreras hit one out and break out of whatever this thing is he is going through.

    Lot of unknowns back then and lot of unknowns still remaining. Hard to fully inspect the deal without it completely in the rearview. If he throws well this year upon return and we are in the driver's seat to retain him moving forward, would the extra cash be worth keeping him beyond this year? A lot left to play out..

    Yophery is an interesting one to watch. He is the highest rated Brewers OF prospect and outside of maybe Lara there is no one who would be blocking him from ascending at whatever pace he decides to move through the system at. I think he is projected to end up in the corner OF as well, whereas Lara is naturally a CF if I'm not mistaken.
