Re: The extra pitcher rule for the doubleheader on Monday.. can we grab anybody or do we have to follow the same call-up rules otherwise? Is Anderson available for us to grab?

My very uneducated opinion is that I think he will have closing options, but I'm not sure he will have big money options. I could see someone like Pittsburgh giving him one year, $7 million. Allows a Pittsburgh like team to show their fans they are trying by signing a name, and then if they can turn him around have a trade piece at the deadline. If he can't get more than $6-$7 million though... I wonder if he isn't better off taking less for a lighter role to rebuild his rep and go for a bigger contract in '27? If he gets a closers roll and fumbles it away again next year that might be it for him getting that chance. If he can't find more than $6 elsewhere and the Brewers offer him $4 with incentives, I feel like he should consider us and we should consider him. This has been said multiple times here but this does feel like a Jeffress situation all over again.

They need to go 23-18 the rest of the way. Sure seems inevitable with the pixie dust they are currently carrying. I will feel good about that number if we can win this series against Cincinnati by splitting these last two and then taking 3 of 5 from the Cubs. We would need to go 19-15 after that, a 56% clip. Lot of tough opponents on the horizon however.

Gotta give credit where credit is due. Murphy gets beat up a lot (rightfully so!) for his pen usage... but if he really played matchups right there and didn't stick to the tiring "each guy has his inning" thing ... I applaud him. Other than Megill I love having all guys available at all times.

Kudos to Suter, man. He was always effective for us but I always felt like he was 3 bad outings away from getting DFA'd. Just perpetually thought "his style can't stay effective long term". Here he is in his 10th year. Has had a positive WAR every season except one. I'm sure he will have a job in whatever organization as a coach or TV or front office guy whenever he decides he is done.

Yelich is the only player in MLB history to have multiple cycles against the same team. He has 3 against Cincy. Let's get him #4.

This game had a goofy feel to it from the jump. Short a few players, knowing Miz is only going a few innings, possible small emotional come down from the Burger win/hype .... Knowing this team it means nothing and we still win by 6 runs .. but this one just has an odd aura from the jump to me. I know that is easy to say after this start but ... hope I'm wrong.

This x100. If the Brewers have a rested, healthy Chourio who can come close to repeating his 2024 closing numbers ... we are going to be in such a good position. I personally don't want to see him or Hoskins until 9/1 at the earliest. Rest up for the stretch and finish off the most magical season of our lives.

Berroa is a switch hitter and with a RHP on the mound maybe he gets thrown right into the fire tonight? Berroa managed to be a positive WAR contributor to Toronto back in '24 with non-existent offense - I'm assuming he is a plus defender? EDIT** I just saw he is 5'9, 178 and was 5th in all of MiLB between '21-'24 in combined stolen bases before his call up to the Blue Jays. The Brewers are just laughing at the rest of baseball right now. We are collecting every short, fast, good defending outfielder that exists.

2-1 after last night. I was at the Jedi Chourio bobblehead loss to the Twins and I have been at both Brewers win over Skenes.

Once the offseason hits if I was an opposing GM I'd be calling the Brewers daily for Adamczewski. He is blocked at every level it seems.

Selflessly, I want all 3 of Made/Pena/Fischer to crush it the rest of the year and be in AA next year to start. Selfishly, living 9 minutes from the TRats stadium I only have 4 potential home games the rest of the year with the 3 of them together... which is a real bummer. Either way, the TRats have been a hard sell this year thus far so getting some star power here is nice. Bad luck for the local stadium team we will only have them for so few games.

Just getting back from the game. I'm happy to say I was able to make it to both games this year against Skenes in Milwaukee. Not much else to say, this team is bonkers and I've never seen anything like this following baseball before and just so thrilled and honored it is happening to our guys and we get to be a part of it.
