For a 5th OF he's pretty good. Like others have said, on the preferred DFA'd list he's pretty far down. I'm pretty much in firesale mode right now, so Hoffman, Suppan, Zaun, Vargas, and Edmonds all make more sense to me.
The return for Gregg Zaun isn't as valuable as simply moving on to Lucroy/Salome as we've all been waiting for. Another Gross/Butler kind of deal would be fine by me.
Had to happen at some point. Have to sink or swim with a guy like Parra if you're the Brewers. If he pitches up to his capability the season could take a turn for the better.
It's tough (and I know I'm looking far ahead here) because I'd really like to see Parra inserted back into the rotation and I'm not sure where Capuano fits should that happen. Obviously future injuries notwithstanding, the Brewers have quantity in arms already. What I am sure of is that should Capuano continue to pitch well and stay healthy he will make an appearance with the Brewers in some capacity.

As easy as it is to rip our Brewers, the Padres can freaking pitch. Garland just hammered his own personal petco-park outside corner all day with every pitch. If the Brewers could've just poked a few of those into right maybe the game is different, but the Padres have just been painting all game and series.
Randy Wolf has these phases where he just completely loses his command. How can they say "he always throws strikes" when in every other outing he's got a 30-50 pitch period where he's completely lost?
It's not like the league is gonna finally figure him out after 100000 years. It's not like his fastball's lost even more velocity. He's not about to mentally lose it - I'm really not all that concerned about him because the problem is probably mechanical. Let him work it out. Hoffman is the least of this team's concerns.
