I remember thinking Manny Parra was going to be a stud. It's just not happening...
-
Man, I hope the Brewers can find a way to keep that guy around long-term. Unbelievable.
-
Do you think that Cameron would have as many walks if he hit ahead of Braun and Fielder? I say no. No, he'd just be hitting for a better average. .340/.392/.574 (that's a .967 OPS) batting 2nd this season.
-
It's only a "good cut" or "nice hack" if the guy doesn't put the ball in play.
-
Oh, so NOW Macha brings in Escobar, haha. He's just teasing me.
-
I hate to rain on this parade with a great rally here in the 9th - I know hindsight is 20/20, but I was screaming for Escobar to pinch run there. He pretty much scores on any single. I love craigger but Escobar's got the best wheels on the team and he's sitting in the dugout.

Even Mat Gamel isn't on the big league team. I really don't think the Brewers are in "see what we have" mode. Like jwill said, the union would go to town on this one anyway.

Bill Hall traded to Mariners for P Ruben Flores
derflotr replied to Invader3K's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
Not to mention that if Fielder does no more than a single and less than a HR it's going to take two hits for him to score the majority of the time. -
Well, I'm officially counting the Brewers out for 2009. Whatever measures can be taken to improve 2010 should be taken. I don't know what can be done at this point, but the Brewers need to stop with the stubborn "win now" mentality, especially with Gallardo or Parra - don't overwork the guy when it's completely unnecessary. I don't want to call the Brewers the worst team in the league but they just got swept by one of them. They are horrendous right now.

Why on earth would the Reds deal Aaron Harang for Bill Hall? He's a late-inning defensive replacement who had a nice year 3 years ago. People expected way too much out of this. The Brewers got slight salary relief instead of no salary relief. Fine by me. -

Hopefully the Mariners will pick up a couple bucks of his contract...anything makes it worthwhile. I'm assuming Ruben Flores is just a throw-in type minor leaguer. -
Kendall vs. Karstens. This should be good. Well, that was boring.
-
So Todd Coffey's unavailable today?
-
Looper giving up a HR? No way! Nice straight fastball on 2-1 there. Time to get the bats going again.
-
We won one on Thursday. I know, I just wanted to say something a little more than "Great outing by Mike Burns" and that's the best I could come up with.
-
That was actually quite relaxing. Great outing by Mike Burns. Time to win a day game now.
-
I could see Cam getting the day off tomorrow with Oswalt on the mound...he hasn't really looked right at the plate this series, even though he's on a 6-game hitting streak.
-
Heck, I can get used to this...keep it going, crew.
-
How about getting on base?
-
Well, someone's gotta make an out eventually.
-
I wanna hear about the last time a pitcher gave up 8 runs in an inning and struck out the side.
-
In a way I wish they were still on the west coast so I could say something sour like "I'm going to bed". But it's too early...I don't know what else to do. Looper looked horrendous pretty much all night, not sure what Macha expected from him in the 6th.
-
Do the Brewers have a pitching coach? Did I miss a mound visit somewhere along the line tonight? This is an incredible meatball display.
-
Bashing Jason Kendall is so fashionable I usually don't do it, but seriously...this is getting hard.
-
Trouble in the first is becoming a common theme for Yo lately. Time for damage control.
