I very honestly would be much less upset if it wasn't the Cardinals. I've been mentally prepared to handle being embarrassed by the Phillies, but this? Ugh.

That Phillips HR BA mentioned was incredible. I was at that game...grand slam off Carlos Villanueva, loudest crack of the bat I've ever heard. It actually made me flinch a little.

Lucroy's really been brutal lately. Only 6 hits this month. He had a real promising offensive season going, too.

But he hit a HR last night he has to play. Oh yeah, and he has great range per Uke and some other guy. I don't think the guy should be playing every day either, but you have to admit he's capable of making highly difficult plays - particularly with his arm. The throw he made to (not) get Mayberry last night was one of the better ones of the season, in my opinion. Though I've always been a sucker for those deep-in-the-hole plays behind 3B...

Corey actually had a good AB there but just couldn't elevate...tough break.

Westbrook's already thrown almost 50 pitches. They've struck out 5 times but at least they've made him work a bit.

Too bad he hasn't really made any mistakes with it. It's either on the corner, in on the hands or off the plate. Annoying.

John Mayer makes me sick to my stomach. No one person should be allowed to possess that much talent. Plus he's all good-looking with his symmetrical features and full, rich head of hair. I'm as anti-mainstream as it gets when it comes to music and I've tried really hard to hate the guy, but Jesus God. The guy is impossibly good.
