  1. Dodgers were interested before the season started and I believe they still would be interested now. Adames would be an extreme upgrade over Rojas and Taylor at SS for the Dodgers. Defense is still solid for Adames and I believe the Dodgers would give up one or two decent prospects for Adames.
  2. The only thing it has handcuffed is the owners not making as big of a profit on the team for the year. Getting below the 2nd line doesn't help the Bucks get a FA or two.
  3. Right and he isn’t good enough in the low post either to be someone who posts up.
  4. It is not legal but it is also not illegal. Though this site has probably opened itself up to a cease and desist order if MLBPA wanted to pay for the lawyer to do a one off. Normally companies go through Etsy, eBay, etc. and then submit a mass cease and desist letter to those companies. The probability of MLBPA doing this for such a small amount is unlikely to happen. Though if more are sold I wouldn’t be surprised if the site receives a cease and desist order. If the t-shirts wouldn’t have Wiemer’s face on it then this would be fine though could still get a cease and desist order.
  5. Bass did nothing wrong and I am going to leave it at that.
  6. The Cubs went we will kill our farm system and we don't care we want a WS! The Cubs basically emptied their whole farm system for a one year run. After that one year run that organization is in absolute shambles. The scorched Earth tactic they did basically killed them from having a long run. Teams like the Yankees and even the Red Sox were able to both spend and develop players. Some of the developed players were used in trades while others were kept. The Cubs did a horrible job of developing players after their core came up. It wasn't a really good strategy on their part for a long term run. The Royals on the other hand just lucked into two world series. They didn't develop younger players and that is why their team just absolutely fell apart after the first world series win. They had no plan and it is the reason why their GM then is not a GM right now. Even large market teams need to churn out prospects. Fortunately the Cubs, White Sox, Tigers, Phillies and Mets haven't figured this out yet. The Yankees pivoted to a more prospect oriented organization after seeing the Red Sox have success and having the Rays being a pain. The large market teams have an advantage of being able to keep the players they develop as the contracts are rather meaningless to them. A Yelich contract wouldn't even be a concern for the Yankees as they have one in Stanton and another they released in Hicks. While the small and mid market teams just can't do that as it would be a rather huge hole in their budgets. The Rays once they get a new stadium and hopefully are able to spend more will be more of a problem than the Yankees in the future if they continue to develop like they have. Even if the Rays only improve their payroll to that of the Brewers that is a rather significant jump at about $50m. That could be a big splash in free agency or a couple of extensions to players they already have.
  7. That was a completely different GM I believe and it would be rather stupid to not do a trade with another team because you had a bad trade in the past.
  8. Michigan and Penn State being the only two hard games everything else is extremely soft.
  9. Depends on how you read it but yes at least for the Yankees and Padres. The Rays, Rangers and Dbacks probably have some regression coming at some point.
  10. Dalvin Cook to be released. https://www.nfl.com/news/vikings-to-release-rb-dalvin-cook-after-six-seasons Vikings will save about $9m in cap space with this move. There is still a possibility a trade maybe worked out but very unlikely.
  11. The Brewers bats are rather bad.....
  12. Middleton had minor knee surgery: https://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/nba/bucks/2023/06/08/milwaukee-bucks-all-star-khris-middleton-had-right-knee-surgery-after-nba-playoffs/70302028007/ I wonder if he will be opting in instead of out now?
  13. The best option in the OF is if the White Sox continue to falter and become sellers. If they put Luis Robert out there then I would have to think about something like a Frelick++++ deal. This would move Wiemer from CF to RF at a somewhat of a cost at defense in CF. I think Laureano will be expensive as there will be other teams like the Yankees looking to get someone like him. If the Cardinals continue to struggle and O'Neil comes back and is healthy then I think there is a fit there and the Yankees go for him instead of Laureano but that will cost them more. For Laureano you are looking at a Gasser+ type of a deal. I don't think Laureano would be worth that. I think he turns into a Schoop type of a trade. Lane Thomas is probably an easier get from the Nationals. Thomas vs LHP: .360/.422/.627. Another option against LHP would be Nick Senzel from the Reds who is hitting .455/.500/.659 against LHP. This maybe the hardest trade if no one in the NL Central is walking away with the division. I think another SP is probably another need if Woodruff is not able to come back.
  14. You missed one but it is only a 1-year deal. J.D. Martinez (1/10) 148 wRC+ | 1.1 WAR The WAR is low because of being the Dodgers DH. He has played all but one game as the DH. That 1/10 deal is an absolute steal by the Dodgers.
  15. I am always up for getting a referral bonus if you let me know what your expertise is I can do a recommendation at my company for a job in your expertise.
  16. Shane Bieber may become available during the deadline and that is a possible player who could bring as much value as Burnes does. So there really isn’t no one. Wheeler could also become available if the Phillies continue to struggle.
  17. He looks better when he is just trying to hit the ball than trying to muscle one. I would take the singles and occasional doubles over the power stroke he has been trying for awhile now.
  18. This team has to lead the league in watching clear strikes for strikeouts.
  19. Over an hour late on my lunch order and I get a $1.90 refund for wings. Will never order from WingZone ever again.
  20. Majority of scouts don’t see him as a pitcher and see him as a RF. His athleticism would be wasted at 1B.
  21. Urias activated Brosseau to Nashville. Ruf to 60-day IL.
  22. Exit velocity + launch angle is far more telling. If you have a high exit velocity and a very low launch angle that wouldn’t be good as that is a lot of ground balls. Same could be true for an extremely high launch angle though most of those are going to go for extra base hits. Exit velocity tells us how good the batter hit the ball and launch angle helps to determine the success or perceived success of that exit velocity. I believe a 14-20 degree launch angle is what you want to see.
  23. I think with the new rules the Mets 1st pick will again be in the Comp A pick even if they finish under .500 this year.
  24. The NL East is starting to compete with the NL Central in being bad. The Braves are the only good team in that division everyone else are just a whole mess.
