  1. I think it is going to be the Rockies. Think about it they will give up their whole farm for Ohtani and then he just leaves in the off season and they give Winker a 8-year $140m deal in the off season and trade for Lauer with their remaining prospects and sign him to a 7-year $120m deal. They also give the Angels $20m a year for the next 5-years because of reasons.
  2. I think in the end Wiemer and Mitchell become platoon mates with Wiemer getting some games against RHP.
  3. Supposedly the Yankees are the front runners right now if you believe Buster Olney. Even with Olney it is probably Yankees, Dodgers, Orioles, Rays, Dbacks or Giants. I don't see the Brewers even checking in on the Ohtani sweepstakes as they already know they are not going to give up any of their top 5 and I don't think Frelick would be of interest to the Angels. The Brewers just don't have the pieces if you are not willing to give up two of Chourio, Frelick and Misiorowski plus three of Black, Gasser, Carlos F. Rodriguez, Lara, Mendez, Guilarte, Quero or Valerio. It is going to cost a lot and more than what Ohtani is worth. If the Brewers don't win the WS after losing those players then it wasn't worth it at all. Would be better to improve with smaller trades than trading for Ohtani.
  4. Why would they beat that? If they are going to overpay for someone like Candelario you let them. I don't believe many teams are going to be offering different than what has been proposed. They are going to be the same type of prospects. I am not sure what you think a return for Candelario should be but these are the type of prospects that the Nationals are going to get in return for him.
  5. Dilin Jones has committed to the Badgers (4-star RB) for 2024. The recruiting class for 2024 is looking really good for the Badgers.
  6. Would be Carlos Rodriguez I believe but it is hard to tell on that site sometimes.
  7. I think this is a closer trade for Candelario but it will depend on who the Nationals like. I don't think teams will be willing to go for anything above $6m in value for Candelario. Maybe there is a GM out there who is desperate but I don't think Candelario would be that player. At most you are looking at $8m in value but I think anything over $6m in value is an extreme overpay for Candelario. I think Barlow is the relief pitcher the Brewers go after but I am not sure who they would trade for him. I think Urias may also be traded during the deadline this year and that team is probably the Rockies as they do dumb things all the time plus they kind of owe the NL Central for giving away Arenado for nothing to the Cardinals.
  8. Except that is not what they are saying. They believe the Brewers have that as a spendable asset like the Brewers have $1.6 billion in cash they can spend. I would prefer crowdfunding over the government giving any sports team money for a stadium. Crowdfunding has been around for awhile it is how the base was paid for for the Statue of Liberty. Currently just about everything from comic books, video games, music, movies, books and even businesses have been funded through crowdfunding. One video game has raised over $500m in crowdfunding over about 8-years now. So it is possible for a team to do a crowdfunding campaign to raise money for the project.
  9. With the last two signings the Bucks are at or above the second apron. Note that the second apron takes in the bonuses even if the bonuses are not earned or will not be earned. The NBA has the second apron as what could be the team’s maximum salary so it takes in the bonuses as if they are paid out. This then gets us to the teams max salary which the second apron is counted as. So no manipulating that second apron by teams with unattainable bonuses. Those bonuses count no matter what. The Bucks are currently $5m over the second apron. https://theathletic.com/4690881/2023/07/14/bucks-cap-situation-explained/
  10. Sigh I see people still don't understand what equity is.
  11. Ahhh nvm I miss read what you said. You mean parking lot rush hour traffic. Yeah that won't work then.
  12. Mine does.
  13. Most modern cars have the adaptive cruise control already. I bought a 2021 KIA K5 that has this as a basic option and it works rather well for the most part. The only time it doesn't work is if someone cuts you off and it will slam on the brakes too much.
  14. I think Toyota is saving the inexpensive EV's for when their batteries are there. Right now the demand for EV's is not there unless they are a Tesla. Ford is able to use the superchargers now so there is one hurdle but even Ford is sitting at 80+ days of supply with their EV's. The initial Mach 1 Mustang sold out but now dealerships are having a problem selling them. I don't believe the consumer demand is there yet for even non luxury EV's.
  15. Well that is a guaranteed loss now…..
  16. I saw an article recently that Toyota is going full hybrid as the market right now is not demanding full electric cars. This was backed up by the EV supply of 103 days which is double the amount for gas and hybrids. It looks like Tesla is the only EV that is actually selling right now. Everything else has priced themselves out of the consumer demand even with the government incentives. Let’s see overpriced and lacking features that the same gas cars have? Yeah I can see why EV’s are in such demand…….
  17. The Brewers could also do a draft and follow if a player goes to a JUCO but they can only offer $250k anything over that it would go against what they have left in bonus pool.
  18. Did a 5-year old write that article? That was just an absolute mess of an article.
  19. Adames makes sense for the Dodgers. There is a thought there maybe more playoff competitors trading with each other than with your typical sellers.
  20. If you don’t sign someone you lose the pick and the slot money associated to that pick.
  21. Nicholas Judice is someone I think fits the Brewers profile as a pitcher.
  22. The Yankees have been linked to O’Neil going all the way back to last years deadline when they traded for Bader. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is traded to the Yankees either at the deadline or in the offseason.
  23. Some that I like on day two: 1B CJ Kayfus 1B Brock Vradenburg OF Jack Hurley RHP Tanner Witt (probably unsignable) LHP Grayson Hitt
  24. Probably and that maybe why they went with who they did in the second round.
