  1. Sports teams have divided up their TV rights into two now. One for broadcasting and one for digital broadcasting. Why sell as one when you can sell both individually for a higher profit.
  2. Paragraphs are a thing use them.
  3. There was an article I read about people missing money and one was for recommendations for jobs. So even if I don’t know someone I will recommend them. I will put anyone in the system as a recommendation. The only people I can’t recommend are people connected with a government so I can’t recommend Hunter or one of Trump’s kids or close family members cousins, uncles, brothers, etc….. Random people I meet perfectly fine.
  4. No this is wishful thinking. The Chargers, Raiders and Rams all relocated in the NFL recently. The TV contracts have very little bearing on if a team will move or not. It is always the stadium or facilities. Teams will even move out to the suburbs if they can as the Bears are contemplating now.
  5. Their owner has recently commented that they see themselves more like the Brewers and the Rays. I doubt they will be spending all that much.
  6. If I am trading with the White Sox I am going big and going after Luis Robert. I would be fine trading Frelick, Black + for Robert. The only untouchables in the Brewers minor league system to me are Chourio, Quero, Misiorowski and Carlos F. Rodriguez. Everyone else I would trade for the right player. I think something like Frelick, Black, Gasser and Small/Mendez gets you really close value wise for Robert. The problem is with the White Sox do they believe they are contenders still or are they willing to trade off some pieces? I wouldn't be surprised to see more contender to contender trades this deadline. Unless the White Sox and Cardinals decide to blow things up there isn't much out there from the obvious sellers (Royals, Nationals, A's and Rockies) in terms of impact players. The Mariners could become sellers but I am not sure who become available if they decided to sell and if there would be anyone that teams would be interested in buying that the Mariners would sell on (Suarez, Wong, Hernandez and Pollock). I wouldn't be surprised if the Brewers and Dodgers restart trade talks for Adames. Something like Frasso, Graterol and Kopp to the Brewers for Adames and Brosseau/Small/Milner. Adames fixes the SS issue for the Dodgers and they get a pick of Brosseau/Small/Milner as the second piece. I think the Dodgers would go with Brosseau as that helps their bench out a little bit more but I could see them adding Small or Milner to lengthen out their bullpen. The Brewers get bullpen help with Graterol the MLB piece coming back with Frasso and Kopp being the prospects in return. Frasso and Kopp would help the Brewers minor league pitching depth. Frasso becomes the best pitcher in the Brewers minor league system with Kopp being the 4th or 5th best. If the Brewers could pull off the Graterol for Adames swap and get Robert from the White Sox that would be a rather big improvement for the Brewers overall. Robert fixes the LHP issues the Brewers have been suffering from. Graterol could also fill in the 8th inning and move everyone else down an inning. I think this would give the Brewers the best chance to win now and in the future. These moves also allow the Brewers to keep Burnes, Woodruff and Peralta and to just get draft picks for Burnes and Woodruff after the '24 season. Next year the Brewers would be in pool B for comp balance picks and then in '25 they would be in pool A. Assuming both Burnes and Woodruff are offered QO's and they sign with another team the Brewers could have three picks after the 1st round in the '25 draft.
  7. I look ate Martinez' stats recently and ooof are they bad. I think this might be the last year for him in the Brewers org, I believe he will be a minor league FA this off season?
  8. The Cardinals are 4-11 in the month of June. They have 9 games remaining this month and have to go 8-1 just to be .500 for the month of June. They have 3 @ Nationals, 2 vs Cubs in London, 3 vs Astros and 1 vs Yankees. Will the Cardinals be able to go 8-1 versus those teams? Maybe they get 5 wins versus the Cubs and Nationals but that means they can only lose one of the final 4 against the Astros and Yankees. That is asking a lot. In comparison the Brewers already have double the wins the Cardinals have in June. The Reds have a recent winning streak that is double the Cardinals win total in June. Are the Cardinals out of it? No they are not out of it yet but if they don't start winning and soon they will be out of it. For the Cardinals to catch the Reds, Brewers and Pirates they would have to hope for those teams to lose the rest of their games. The Brewers have 11 games left in June, Reds 10, and Pirates 11. So far the Brewers are 8-8 in the month of June. If they continue to play like they have they probably finish 5-6 or 4-7 in their final 11 games in June. The Reds if they continue playing how they have been playing probably go 7-3 or 6-4. Then you have the Pirates who are not really playing all that well either lets say they match the Brewers at 5-6 or 4-7. If we take the worst for each that is 6-4, 4-7 and 4-7. The Reds would be up by about 2 games at the end of June. If the Cardinals go 8-1 they only pick up two games and are still 8 games back. They are currently 10 games back as of today (6/18). Going into July the Cardinals would have to go 22-4 or something like that to be back in the race for the NL Central. I just don't see this as probable for the Cardinals.
  9. I will have to find the article again but Adams wasn't going to sign with the Packers and he let the Packers know this early in the off season. It was all about Rodgers not wanting to commit to more than one year that Adams didn't want to stick around. So Rodgers had to commit to more than one year and he never did that last off season. So it was far before this that the Packers had their answer on Adams and they knew he was gone when the Broncos trade was nixed.
  10. Somewhat official now: https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/bradley-beal-trade-suns-land-wizards-star-as-chris-paul-heads-to-washington-in-blockbuster/ Suns receive Bradley Beal Wizards receive Chris Paul Landry Shamet Multiple second-round picks Multiple pick swaps
  11. Beal to the Suns according to Woj…..
  12. Peralta's baseball savant page: https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/freddy-peralta-642547?stats=statcast-r-pitching-mlb Peralta still has elite stuff it is just that he is not placing his pitches correctly. They are getting too much of the plate especially his fastball, changeup and curveball. Then you can also look at his babip and HR/FB:
  13. The Packers knew Adams wasn't coming back before this.
  14. The Bucks don't have the assets to get Beal and the Suns and Heat are already the top contenders for Beal. Dame is also not a possibility as he wants to go to the east coast if he is traded so that means the Knicks, 76ers, Celtics or Heat. I think the Bucks will trade two of Connaughton, Allen and Portis.
  15. LOL ump ummm how you miss one that is clearly in the strike zone?
  16. If fans could see he isn't a 3.5 ERA pitcher wouldn't other teams also see this? So how can you sell high if fans can see something but somehow magically other teams are not able to see this? I doubt the Brewers received anything of significant for Lauer in the off season. It was probably more a long the lines of what they already had.
  17. The O's since trading Machado and Schoop away have been extremely cheap. They didn't spend at all this past off season. I don't see them adding much if any salary this deadline and if they do add it will be someone like Peralta. They will be seeking players who don't have rather large salaries so that excludes Burnes. Yuck on DL Hall. At best he looks to be a reliever and probably just a AAAA one at that. Hall has about a 6 ERA in MLB and it is about the same in AAA. He is not a good prospect and would be someone I would want to stay far far far far far far away from. The Orioles won't trade Rodriguez for Burnes so that is out of the question. At best you may be able to get Holliday but then that is all you are getting from the Orioles. If you want Westburg then you need to subtract out Mayo in a Peralta deal as they are about the same value wise and in your offer you have about $60m in value going to the Brewers and only about $50m in value going to the Orioles. If you want Hall or Mayo you would have to drop Povich. Again I would stay clear of Hall as he is not a good pitcher.
  18. The Brewers have some. Gasser has looked better as of late. Carlos F. Rodriguez has looked good in AA along with Justin Jarvis. Anything beyond A ball is too hard to predict.
  19. Instead of Burnes and Urias to the Orioles maybe just Peralta to the Orioles. Something like Mayo (1B), Norby (2B) and comp balance pick (63). I think that is something the Orioles would be extremely interested in. Peralta is signed to a very team friendly deal and the Orioles are a cheap organization. So trading for someone like Peralta probably makes more sense than trading for someone like Burnes.
  20. I think the Rays would and it is because Peralta is at such an affordable price tag for the next few years. It means they can deal Glasnow in the off season.
  21. That is in AAA and you want to use PA's and not AB's otherwise you are subtracting a positive outcome for a hitter walk or HBP which doesn't record an AB. Also you would expect the K rate to increase in MLB versus in AAA. Tellez had a better K% in AAA than Westburg does. Their career stats in the minors are also very similar.
  22. The only other SS on the market would be Tim Anderson and he isn't having all that great of a season either. If the Brewers and White Sox continue to play poorly and sink then Anderson and Adames will be the 1a and 1b options at SS. Maybe the Tigers will put Baez out there but they would have to eat part of his salary to trade him. While Adames has been hitting poorly I think there is enough that he is hitting into more bad luck and he should turn it around. One interesting thing on Adames is that he is seeing more breaking and off speed pitches this year. Adames is only seeing 51% of the pitches as fastballs compared to about 54% career. Also his K% is down and his BB% are up this year. Maybe he isn't being aggressive enough at the plate? Adames is an enigma right now he should be hitting better than he is.
  23. Westburg is a high K type of a hitter so expect 200+ K's a season from him. He is more of a power hitter and probably is closer to what Tellez is right now. I think Tellez is basically the ceiling for Westburg.
  24. How about Peralta to the Rays? Something like Manzardo, comp pick and Colmenarez. Then trade Burnes and Urias to the Orioles for: Mayo (1B), Ortiz (SS), Povich (LHP) and Beavers (OF). Then Adames to the Dodgers for: Frasso (RHP), Nastrini (RHP) and Vivas (2B/3B) That would give the Brewers a shot in the arm with some youth on the team. Povich, Frasso and Nastrini give the Brewers enough shots at a possible pitcher becoming good. 2024 will suck pitching wise with only Woodruff coming back but the Brewers will have a bunch of positional players ready to play on the MLB team in 2024 and some on the same trajectory for making it to the MLB team when Chourio would be. Another possible trade Williams to the Marlins for Meyer (RHP), Eder (LHP) and comp pick. If the Brewers get the Rays and Marlins comp pick that gives the Brewers the 31st and 35th pick in the draft. The Brewers would then have 18, 31, 33 and 35 which should allow them to get the players they want in this years draft. If anyone falls or if there is a signing concern the Brewers would have more than enough to go over and not even worry about it.
