  1. Once the divisions go away in the Big Ten the Badgers are going to be in serious trouble. So it would be best to part ways with PC now so the program can rebuild and be ready for the removal of the divisions. Once the divisions go away the Badgers are going to be stuck permanently behind Ohio State, Michigan and others. I think at best the Badgers will finish any year is 2nd unless Ohio State and Michigan are having off years. I think the Badgers once the divisions are eliminated will be going through a bunch of 5-7 seasons. This program is heading towards Nebraska territory. Once a powerhouse in college football to an afterthought. If the Badgers continue with PC the best they are going to do will be a 9-3 or 8-4 seasons. That would be fine if your goal is to play in one of the lesser bowl games. The CFP is out of the question if the Badgers continue with PC. This season I think the Badgers are in real trouble of falling to a 5-7 season. I could see the Badgers losing to Northwestern, Maryland, Nebraska and Minnesota. There could be another loss to Michigan State or Purdue.
  2. Ruiz is basically Uggla/Weeks bad at 2B. He should never play there unless there are no 2B and then I would rather Tellez play 2B than Ruiz.
  3. Pretty sure it is taught for QB's to slide feet-first from just about every team. There is a lot of injury risk to the shoulder and arm when diving head first. I also think the runner is not protected if they dive head first meaning if they dive head first they can be called for head to head contact and risk ejection.
  4. This team looks completely unprepared to play. This is the second time this year they have looked like this. This is starting to look like a trend and this is 100% on PC.
  5. Hornibrook’s problem was always deep down field. He had to loft the ball in order to get it down the field. This allowed defenses to play up and take away the short passes because they knew they had time to get back on deep throws because it took forever for the ball to get downfield.
  6. None of those players in the past were inaccurate like Mertz. They just didn’t have the arm strength. Accuracy wasn’t their problem it was always them not being able to throw it down the field deep. Mertz can but he is horribly inaccurate with his throws. If Mertz we’re to go to Oklahoma or Alabama he would put up big numbers. It is the coaching at Wisconsin that is failing along with Mertz. Both can be true at the same time.
  7. LOL Ohio State up 28-7 goes for it on 4th and 1 at about the same field position. Yes PC is getting out coached once again. Not sure what it is going to take for some to finally see that PC is a bad head coach. This is the second game this season where he is being out coached.
  8. Accuracy can be fixed with proper coaching. The poor and dumb throws is something that can be coached also. It is just never going to happen at Wisconsin.
  9. The offensive and defensive line are just absolutely horrible. I don’t see anyone on this team that should even be considered as a starter.
  10. Mertz has all the talent to be good. He is very similar to Cutler he has all the talent and the arm strength but no accuracy and makes dumb throws a lot.
  11. I was expecting them to at least be competitive for at least 1 quarter.
  12. Defense and offense look completely unprepared for this game. This is not the first time this season that this has happened either.
  13. Dumb decision to not go for it on 4th and 1. You are down 21 take some risk you moron PC.
  14. Defensive line looking horrible again. I really shouldn’t be surprised by this by now. This is 3 years now where the defensive line look like children playing against adults.
  15. Nope the AD for Wisconsin wouldn’t even think about it. The only way PC gets in the hot seat is if he loses every game here on out. Even then he will get 2-3 more years before that happens.
  16. Game over.
  17. Completely outmatched by Ohio State. This one is probably going to be over by half time.
  18. No. I think most know that Wisconsin is going to get curb stomped tonight. The only way Wisconsin doesn't get curb stomped tonight is if Ohio State plays horribly (lots of penalties, poor special teams, etc.).
  19. If you move Mitchell to RF Frelick in CF and Renfroe in LF that would be a better defensive OF. I don’t see the Dodgers being a serious contender for Burnes. It would be good if they would be but I don’t think they will. They have other holes that they need to fix after this season. If Adames becomes available that is someone I think the Dodgers would be interested in. Instead of paying Turner they could trade for Adames instead or go with Lux. I am not sure if the Dodgers are 100% in on Lux being their everyday SS.
  20. Turang's offense is perfectly fine at 2B. As long as he can put up a 100+ wRC+ he will be perfectly fine at 2B. I think a good comp would be Santiago Espinal of the Blue Jays for Turang for his first full season. If Turang puts up a .765 OPS in MLB that would put him as the 5th best qualified 2B in MLB just ahead of Gleyber Torres and Marcus Semien. He would be just behind Luis Arraez who has a .791 OPS. Wong also costs more than what Turang will cost and will allow the Brewers to spend that savings else where. As for Adames moving over to 3B I don't see it unless he gets an extension that pays him as a top 5 SS. If Adames was a FA this offseason I think he would get something similar to what Baez signed for. So 6-years $140m is what I think is the low end for a contract for Adames. In order to move Adames over to 3B I think that is what it is going to take him to move from SS to 3B. I don't think that makes any sense for the Brewers and moving over to 3B without a contract extension doesn't make sense for Adames. Adames will get payed more as a SS than he will as a 3B. It just doesn't make any sense for Adames to willingly move over to 3B without getting a big contract extension. If you really want Turang to play SS you either need to wait for Adames to become a FA or traded.
  21. No that would be the Cardinals. wRC+ for the Brewers combined catching is 81 which puts them 19th in MLB. The bottom 5 are Pirates (55), Astros (59), Angels (61), Guardians (62), Rockies (62) and Cardinals (62). You can even add the Mets with a 63 wRC+ at catcher.
  22. Yes please see Schwarber back in 2016.
  23. Not enough you would have to add another prospect like Black. That is just too much to be giving up for a catcher who only has two years of service left. This would just be a bad trade and I don't think the Blue Jays would even accept this. You would have to give up someone better then Houser. If you want to get Jansen it is going to cost Woodruff for Jansen and a prospect or two. At that point I don't see why the Brewers would even entertain that. You would want more than 2-years of control and a prospect or two who are going to be lower level. For a trade for the Blue Jays to work for Jansen it would look something like this: Blue Jays get Woodruff Brewers get Jansen, Kasevich and Toman/Doughty If you are trading Woodruff then getting Jansen back doesn't make any sense at all. Trading away Mitchell also doesn't make any sense and Houser doesn't make any sense at all for the Blue Jays. Houser would be a bad fit in Toronto as his ERA would more than likely jump up to something like 6+ pitching in Toronto. Mitchell also doesn't really fit with Toronto either. I think they would prefer Frelick and would demand Frelick over Mitchell. If you are willing to do a Frelick and Lauer for Jansen then sure the Blue Jays would trade Jansen. Otherwise it will be something similar to what I put up above for Woodruff.
  24. No thanks. I would rather spend the trade capital the Brewers have on something else. To get Jansen you are looking at trading someone like Frelick or Wiemer. Also the Brewers just don't match up all that well with the Blue Jays as a trade partner. The position that the Blue Jays would be looking to get better at the Brewers only have Woodruff, Lauer, Houser and Burnes. You would have to package Houser plus a lot to get Jansen. It just would be a waste of the trade capital the Brewers have to get any of the Blue Jays catchers. It would just be best to roll with Caratini and Feliciano next year than it would be to trade for Jansen.
  25. Another 75 BPS raise. With another 75 planned for November and a 50 in December. The rate increases look to continue through 2023.
