  1. It is not the innings that is the problem here it is the number of pitches. Woodruff and Burnes are probably on strict pitch counts to start the year and Woodruff hit that mark and was thus taken out.
  2. Probably but none that I can think of. Still I would want the person to continue in their motion. Stopping could cause a strain or an injury to the player.
  3. This changed about 2-years ago but I can't find what exactly changed for timing wise just that managers have to submit their lineups to MLB first and then it is distributed to everyone else. Couldn't find anything about timing but that is what was supposed to be addressed.
  4. I used to play Warhammer 40k and a WWII miniature game. Some of those games would take a few days to complete sometimes multiple weekends. One time the group I played with we played one scenario for WWII for a whole month took pictures of the battlefield after each day. Fun times. Some of the models that people build for that can get a bit crazy.
  5. That is dumb. They should of just moved it to a non MLB city or to a AAA city it is the least MLB could have done after killing MILB this off season.
  6. It is like the team listened to Braun on hitting advice. Never swing at the first pitch unless it is out of the zone.
  7. They may not be paying for it but it does get subtracted as an expense from their royalties in the TV contract. Even if the Brewers are not able to broadcast games they should be doing some live streaming of other content to bring in more revenue. Live stream practice or something and interview players. Follow a group of players around once a week. Do something or anything really the sport is dying when it comes to younger viewers.
  8. That is a lot for Darnold. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/jets-trade-qb-sam-darnold-to-panthers-new-york-gains-multiple-picks-for-former-first-round-qb/ Quick edit I think this is what a Love trade would look like if the Packers traded him. Maybe able to get a 2nd and 3rd plus a later round pick but value wise I think that matches up with what Love would be worth.
  9. MLB is missing out on the streaming boat. Well actually all sports are really. I am not sure why MLB teams keep on going with the extremely expensive productions when there is a clearly cheaper alternative available to them. Live streaming has been growing at an incredible rate. There are some people on YouTube, Twitch and Facebook that are bringing in about $50k-100k a year doing nothing but live streaming. You would think teams would want in on this. The cost for these productions is a fraction of the cost that a TV studio costs. Basically all the Brewers would need is a few 4K cameras a couple of microphones and then a couple of hosts. Live stream it on one of the live stream services for free and watch the advertisement revenue come in. You are also not limited to just local ad revenue. The Brewers would make so much more money off of this than what they are receiving in TV royalties which is probably still a small amount.
  10. Should really be using a VPN anyways if you are using public wifi with your phone or any other device. It should work the same as on your PC.
  11. The one thing that Holiday really helps with the Bucks is that teams can't triple team Giannis in the post or near the post anymore with the PG. Meaning they can't just leave Holiday open at the 3pt line like teams were doing with Bledsoe. Bledsoe was basically acting as a 4th defender against Giannis in the playoffs. Which then also cut off Bledsoe's best offensive value in driving to the basket. Bledsoe was just a bad fit as he couldn't shoot and wasn't a real threat to shoot either. With Holiday the Bucks are able to free up a defender on Giannis and also occasionally on Middleton.
  12. The Bucks and Holiday have agreed on an extension 4-years $160m. https://theathletic.com/news/bucks-jrue-holiday-agree-to-160-million-max-contract-extension/y4DDn67nmN3B
  13. I think the league has fully figured Suter out now. Time for him to become a bullpen or pitching coach.
  14. There would be a lot of competition for Bradley if he were to be bought out. I think the Lakers would add him as fast as they could.
  15. Lonely men and women after a year of very little social life will do stupid things. Yes I know that last comment was sarcastic but it is going to be interesting to see what the impacts of the lockdowns had on the general population. I wouldn't be surprised to see a rise in some social psychological issues.
  16. Apparently I had to turn the game off. I am sorry everyone for the first 8 innings my fault!
  17. That was a nice bounce back win against the Lakers last night. The Bucks just dominated the Lakers from the 2nd all the way to the end of the game. It doesn't look like the Lakers have anyone that can guard Holiday at all. Yes the Lakers were without LeBron and Davis but still the Lakers have a problem at PG when playing the Bucks or any team with a competent PG.
  18. I like Lucroy's walk off against Chapman better and I believe it was the same year?
  19. If you want to go down the Jordan Peterson rabbit hole he explains it really well. Some of his thesis on the masculinity is a little bit out there but he has some very good points. There is one on the BBC it is rather long but he makes some good points on masculinity and other subjects.
  20. If you like risk then SPAK maybe something to look into. It is basically an ETF of new technology companies. It is down right now but I think it will increase and should stabilize around $35-40.
  21. Odor won't be on the Rangers opening day roster. The Rangers have until Thursday to either trade, release or designate him for assignment. It looks like he will be released as I am not sure a team will trade for him and the Rangers haven't asked him to go down to the minors. https://theathletic.com/news/rangers-to-leave-rougned-odor-off-opening-day-roster/tfc2YigzGCnW
  22. Hahaha I have been talking about the Brewers going with a 6-man rotation for awhile now along with the Brewers skipping starts. I don't think the number of starts is the issue but the number of innings and pitch counts will be the real issues.
