I keep on seeing these ads on social media for Old Fashioned mixes. This is the site I see the most https://proofsyrup.com/. Has anyone tried something like this? I got an old fashioned mix for Christmas a few years back from some town in Wisconsin but the person who bought it for me can't remember where they got it from. I have been searching for a good old fashioned mix but haven't found one I like. -

I am not seeing what you are seeing. There are some swings that he gets on top of the ball and it bounces those will more than likely be converted to outs but it isn't a guarantee that they will. Just like in college there are times the ball just finds a hole and it goes through this is the randomness that is baseball. Line drives don't matter if it is wood or a metal bat those types of hits are going to land for hits the majority of the time. Line drives the majority of time are going to be close to perfection in terms of where it is hitting on the bat. A metal bat is still more forgiving than a wood bat is where you don't have to hit the sweet spot perfectly to get good exit velocity. I actually prefer his swing as it is as he is adjusting to the pitch thrown. He looks like he puts an uppercut swing on pitches down which is what is being taught now (launch angle) and then he uses a more level swing with pitches above the belt. With all of the complaining about batters not shorting up their swing on this board this feels like a weird criticism of his swing when he is doing what a lot want to see. Not calling you out on this just a general observation.

The idea is to keep on replenishing the talent pool and yes that means trading players like Hader. The Brewers are a small market team and they can't be major players in free agency every year it is just not going to happen. So if a team like the Yankees offer Dominguez for Hader you have to take it. While Hader is valuable he is not that valuable especially if you are being offered a really good prospect. Dominguez and Abrams would be the two players I would just execute the trade on if they are available. I wouldn't even care who else were in it as either of these players could set the Brewers up for a long time. It is a risk but I am willing to take that risk and it is one that the Brewers should really be looking at.

The Bears have all of their draft picks now. I think they are only missing a few in the later rounds but all of the picks that they have traded for Mack have passed. The Bears have all of their picks and can trade all of their future picks for Russell if they want to now. One rumor I read was the deal is 2021 1st round, 2022 1st round, 2023 1st round, 2022 2nd round, 2023 4th round, QB Foles and CB Fuller. I think for the Bears to get Wilson and be under the cap they will have to restructure Mack, Quinn, Jackson and Goldman/Whitehair and that would give the Bears just enough to sign their draft picks for 2021. But realistically it would have to be Mack, Quinn, Jackson, Goldman and Whitehair that would give them about $7m in cap space which should be enough to sign 1 free agent and all of their draft picks. The Seahawks would then flip the 2nd round and the 4th round pick to the Jets for Darnold. Basically replacing Wilson for 3 1st round picks and Darnold.

Rumors again about the Bears trading for Wilson and apparently they are about to make an offer to the Seahawks that will make it difficult for them to reject it. It also looks like Wilson is not happy with the coaching and Carrol is not happy with Wilson. Carrol would prefer to have Darnold going forward instead of Wilson? Not sure I believe that last rumor.

My uncle has DIRECT TV and his remotes stopped working. All of them all at the same time. The only thing that works on them is the guide button the up and down arrows and the channel buttons. Everything else doesn't work on them. I tried reprogramming them for him no luck. Even the one he bought as a spare that is still in the bag it came in doesn't work and has the same issues. I am not saying this is a conspiracy but the evidence is pointing to it. Anyways he called direct tv and they told him he would have to buy new ones or a technician could come out and replace his boxes and remotes. He did the tech thing had a date and time frame for them to come they never came. He calls them back and they tell him he is lying and there is no record of him calling in or scheduling a technician to come out. Though he did get confirmation and when he gave them the confirmation information they hang up on him. He still insists that direct TV is still a good service. Sometimes I think people just enjoy the pain.

Not really under-rating their season it is just that majority of the time a team like Marquette is going to be not included in the tournament because of their under .500 record. They have some impressive wins on the road at UNC and at home against WI. They also beat Creighton on the road which consists of their 2nd ranked team win. I believe Creighton was in the top 10 when they beat them and WI was ranked in the top 5 at the time I think? They have a nice resume with the three wins against Creighton, WI and UNC but I think they had to win at least one game in the Big East conference tournament to get in.

My mom and 5 of the nurses who got the 2nd dose all came down with a fever, some pain and a rash after the 2nd shot. First shot they were fine other than the sore arm part.

They have a few good wins but being under .500 and being one in done in the conference tournament is a killer. I don't think it is a coaching problem at least not strategy wise. Though the coaching isn't getting the full potential from the recruiting.

Well the Cowboys and Prescott have finally came to an agreement. https://www.nfl.com/news/dak-prescott-cowboys-agree-to-new-contract 4-years $160m. I think this is an overpay and I have never really been a big fan of Prescott but ok I guess.

Probably nothing but Russell was left off of the teams season ticket letter it did have other players like Metcalf on there. I am going to with this meaning nothing but there is not much else to talk about right now so here we are grasping at straws. I think for a Wilson to the Bears trade to work it has to include Mack, Foles and picks going to the Seahawks. Depending on the cap situation which doesn't sound like it is going to be resolved within the next week or so. The cap is another thing and I think the franchise tag date is on 3/9. I think that is right and that maybe extended if the cap numbers are not fully known.

I don't mind the people from India doing it as I think they are just copying the person who does it. Just thought it may have been a culture thing for them. The other person is just getting on my nerves as I have told him a few times to not call me that just annoying.

This organization badly needs some prospects that can hit and hit with power especially at third base or they will continue to struggle offensively. No, this organization just needs to continue drafting the best player available regardless what position that player plays. If they are a SS in college or high school that doesn't mean they are a SS no matter what Clancy says all kidding aside just because someone is drafted at a certain position that doesn't mean that is their only position they can play. The Brewers wanted to draft Tulo and play him at 3B they also wanted to do this with Hardy but both refused. Short stops can sometimes out grow their position and will instead become 2B or 3B or OF's. Even Yount went from SS to CF and there are many more that have moved from their original position to another. It is better to just draft the best player available regardless of what position they play as you could have your future 1B or future 3B when you draft a high school or even college SS. -
Man, what are the cap implications of THAT? Would have to be done after June 7th for it to work for both teams cap wise. The Bears would still need to drop one more player like Fuller or something like that.

I wonder with Binelas having a bad start if he will drop like Turang did and allow the Brewers to pick him when he should be going in the top 10. Somewhat similar to Mitchell though he dropped for other reasons. Ultimately I think the Brewers continue with drafting up the middle type of players so either another SS or CF type of a player in the 1st round. -
If I get called sir one more time I might explode on my coworker. Every time he messages me Hi sir, hey sir, sir can you help, sir are you there, sir that is good to hear. OMG stop using sir we are not in the military. My coworkers in India also do this and no matter how many times I tell them to stop they just keep on doing it. Is this some cultural thing? It feels more disrespectful to call someone sir or mam instead of their name.
