  1. Signing RB's in FA in the NFL is just a dumb idea and [sarcasm]you can fight me on that![/sarcasm] I think Jones ends up with the Jaguars on a deal a little bit more than what Gordon got. Not a 1:1 comparison but I wouldn't be surprised if King has a Charles Woodson like resurgence with another team, I think he fits in well with a team like the Broncos, Chargers, or Seahawks. Ultimately I think the Jaguars or the Patriots sign him.
  2. After WW:84 which was just bad from after the beginning of the movie to the end. I don't know why but DC movies just suck and I think it is partially to do with the writing and partially due to the villains that they are using as being boring and having no character behind them.
  3. I understand going for the win with a 3 at the end there but the Mavericks passed up two opportunities to tie the game! The Bucks would have had only about 9 secs left on the second one they passed on to score. I would have rather have took my chances there with the tie and then defend.
  4. The Mets haven't signed Hand yet. But I never really get why anyone would exclude Hader as a possible trade target just because they sign someone like Brad Hand. You need a lot more than 1 reliever to fill out a bullpen. You can't be too deep in your bullpen. If we were signing a high end shortstop and then crossing that position off your list, that's a little different. But it's not like Josh Hader isn't important to us because we have Devin Williams. While true there are other free agents that will cost about the same maybe a little bit more than Hader and not cost the Mets a prospect. If the Mets trade all of their prospects now they won't be able to make a trade during the deadline. If the Mets need bullpen help during the deadline then sure but right now we can safely cross them off the list at this time.
  5. The Mets can be removed as a possible trade partner with them supposedly signing Hand.
  6. Realistically I think LeMahieu should be looking at more of a Aramis Ramirez type of money when he signed with the Brewers in 2011 but I don't think he will sign for that.
  7. Pederson has been fired. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/doug-pederson-fired-as-eagles-head-coach-three-years-after-leading-franchise-to-super-bowl-per-report/
  8. If Doug Melvin were the GM he would have already received a 5-year $100m contract! Half sarcastic comment there FYI.
  9. Bell has played the OF before and probably rates out better than Schwarber does in the OF.
  10. Speaking of playing centerfield, Victor Robles better get himself a whole bunch of new running shoes because he's gonna need 'em. Soto and Schwarber in the same outfield. Have to think the Nationals are 100% convinced there will be a NL DH in 2021. Or else they think their pitchers are going to strike out >35% of the batters that they will face. The Nationals are going to be playing Schwarber at 1B and not in the OF so not sure why this would be an issue.
  11. The Red Sox in serious talks with teams in trading Benintendi. Apparently the Red Sox are looking for OF or SP. I am not sure on how much value Benintendi has and what it would take to get him. Maybe Ray and Ashby or Small and Ward. Hard to put a value on Benintendi.
  12. This is going to be a rebuild and I am not sure why the Cubs are not calling it one.
  13. I think the Nationals make the most sense here. Even with them signing Schwarber they still have a hole at 3B which Bryant would fill for them. The Nationals have already been connected with Bryant earlier in the off season but I don't think the return is going to be all that great for the Cubs in this trade if the Cubs are not taking on part of Bryant's salary. If I am the Mets or the Blue Jays I am looking at Suarez first before Bryant. I believe teams are not sold on Bryant being healthy or if he can be the player he was in 2017-2018. Bryant is probably more along the lines of what he was in 2019 than what he was earlier in his career. It is hard to find the market for Bryant as his value is unknown right now as he just has a lot of question marks around him. I think the Cubs will only get low level prospects for Bryant and it will be far less than what they got in return in trading Darvish.
  14. The NFL is going to expand the playoffs unless the pandemic ends soon or stadiums can at least be filled up to 75%. The Super Bowl will probably be played with only 5% of the stadium filled which is a huge revenue loss for the city and the NFL, it is not just the game that brings in revenue for the city and the NFL. The last time the Super Bowl was here in Phoenix there was a lot of things to do in the city for about almost a month. It is a huge deal for the NFL and the host city and brings in a lot of revenue that lost revenue for the NFL needs to be replaced and thus the expansion of the playoffs is going to happen unless more fans are allowed to not just attend the games but the festivities around the games also.
  15. Even the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers and other large market teams don't make a big FA splash every year. Yankees 2017 looks a lot like the Brewers 2020 signings: Adam Lind CC Sabathia Neil Walker Jace Peterson Wade LeBlanc Danny Espinosa This was the Dodgers 2017: Chase Utley Tom Koehler Travis Taijeron This was the Cubs 2016 looks similar to the Brewers 2020 signings: Brett Anderson Gerardo Concepcio Brian Duensing Jon Jay Munenori Kawasaki Zac Rosscup Koji Uehara You can't spend big every year. I get it everyone wants to see the Brewers pick up someone good every off season but it is just not possible even if you are a large market team. There are going to be lean years in free agency where the finances just don't match up or the team is just not in a spot to spend. Players like Reyes are signed by everyone in MLB not just the Brewers and I doubt this will be the Brewers big signing this off season. Will they get someone big no but they will get someone like a Brett Anderson or a Neil Walker type which is fine. The Brewers actually made back to back big signings with Cain and then Moustakas and Grandal that was a once in awhile thing for the Brewers. I wouldn't be surprised this year if someone like Semien falls to the Brewers for a one year deal like Grandal and Moustakas did.
  16. That is why I said Haudricourt isn't a good source for rumors or speculations he won't be breaking things like that. He is basically a press release guy for the Brewers. Haudricourt gets ripped thoughtlessly because he is kind of a donkey at times when he interacts with fans even ones that ask legit questions to him.
  17. this is so on point FA for a Brewers fan can get you sick and Frustrating. we need a Salary Cap or else this will always be the way for the Brewers fans. In order for a salary cap you to happen you will have to sit through years of no MLB because the players are not going to agree to this. MLB tried to implement a salary cap but it ended up in the players striking and almost killing MLB.
  18. Tanaka did not say this he actually clarified he is not limiting it to just the Yankees. https://www.mlb.com/news/masahiro-tanaka-rumors Odorizzi maybe looking for a 3-year deal but I doubt he gets it. Also Anderson wouldn't be the lowest tier type of a pitcher he would be in the middle tier of pitchers.
  19. I don't believe solar or wind power have a sustainable growth and you maybe able to ride the wave but I would get out as soon as you start seeing the stock dip. I wouldn't hold any solar stocks for the long term that industry just doesn't have the growth potential to support the high stock prices.
  20. Doesn't really say anything though Haudricourt isn't really the best source for Brewers rumors or speculations. He hardly ever breaks anything concerning the Brewers actually I can't remember when Tom was the first to report anything on the Brewers that wasn't just a press release for the Brewers. The Brewers have actually become even more tight lipped in terms of information on who they are going after. Cain, Grandal, and Yelich being the prime examples of very little to nothing was heard about the Brewers pursuing these players until they were just about to sign. I did find it interesting that a team was looking at Semien to play 3B I think that was the Brewers. The Brewers are not going to be in on Bauer or the other top tier free agents but Joc Pederson has been linked to the Brewers and I wouldn't be surprised if someone like Profar, La Stella and others at some become linked to the Brewers. I think the Brewers are going to get a bargain on a starting pitcher on someone like Tanaka, Quintana or Odorizzi not sexy names in free agency but definitely guys that could be had on a bargain <$10m a year.
  21. Stay far far far far far away from solar.
  22. That feels like a light return for Lindor.
  23. I don't see how the Brewers get any of the players you mentioned from the Blue Jays in a Hader trade. I think a Hader trade with the Blue Jays looks more like this: 3B Hiraldo 2B Machado RHP Castro RHP Kloffenstein
  24. The only reason it was that low is because of other factors though it did increase in price magically after all of the gold was stolen from the American people by FDR. The greatest transfer of wealth from the regular people to the government in recent history. I believe going back to the gold standard will actually increase the wealth of the poor and return what was wrongfully stolen from the people.
  25. Second time this season the Bucks have scored 80+ in one half. I think this team is starting to gel a bit.
