My votes would be: Bonds, Clemens, Schilling, Walker, and ugggg Jeter. I don't really care about the PED use anymore or alleged use or whatever. It was part of the game when they were playing so I am not going to hold it against them.
I prefer the journey more so than the ending. There is always a next season in sports and the journey starts all over again while a title would be a nice it is not something that I am chasing or all that worried about. To me sports is just entertainment and I am satisfied as long as the team is entertaining to watch the end result is a little bit meaningless to me.
I don't think the Indians would want Seager they would just be in the same position they are in now just a few more years down the road and the same with Pederson. I think Kendall and Rios make sense though. I would substitute Seager to Milwaukee and Gray to Cleveland. Maybe keep Pederson in the trade but I would think the Indians would want someone with more control. Maybe substitute Ray and the Brewers competitive balance pick to the Indians.
I don't think Murphy will be awful offensively, especially as a left-handed hitter in Miller Park. Baseball-Reference predicts an .805 OPS in 2020. Murphy as the starter at third with Sogard and Gyorko on the bench makes the team much better in the aggregate. And the Crew doesn't just get Murphy - they get Vilade, too. Playing Murphy at 3B would be like sticking a broom at 3B and putting a glove on it. Sometimes the broom will catch a line drive right at it but 99% of the time it is going to be a free hit for the other team. Trading for Murphy would be a foolish idea and playing him at 3B might get you checked into the loony bin.
Rodgers is summoning his inner Cutler. I thought the Packers could hang with the 49ers and then their defense would collapse in the 2nd half after running out of gas but it looks like the Packers defense decided not to show up at all in the 1st half except for maybe a few plays here or there. The Packers run defense is still rather poor and I have no idea why other teams didn't run on them more. Martinez is a good LB when he doesn't have to face a competent run blocking TE once that happens he is basically an invisible player on defense. It looks like the Packers didn't even game plan for the 49ers blocking scheme at all. They should be daring Jimmy G to throw the ball and they simply are not doing this at all. They need to call some run blitzes and just leave their corners on an island there really isn't a WR on the 49ers that should scare the Packers but they are playing like the 49ers have Moss, Owens, and Rice all in their prime at WR. One of the safeties needs to be playing up and covering the running gaps that Martinez should be occupying but is instead being occupied by a WR or a TE. The Packers run defense so far falls on the coaching staff as they haven't made a single adjustment to the 49ers and how they are playing.
Not sure how raising the age for anything is going to stop people who were already buying this stuff illegally. This just seems like a we are doing something without actually doing anything. If anything the US should go the Portugal route and just make everything legal. There was a small jump the first year in use of drugs etc. but the subsequent years after saw a significant drop off on under age drug use. I believe the same would happen in the US but it would never pass as there are far too many "Karens" in the US.
Donte is becoming a very nice piece for the Bucks either coming off the bench or becoming the starting SG for the Bucks. Donte maybe a better fit than Brogdon was at the SG spot for the Bucks.
HGH wasn't around then. The earliest I can find HGH being developed was in the 1980's. Source? Remember that "being developed" and "widely utilized for human consumption" are very different things. I'm quite sure the East Germans were doing things on an experimental basis long before it was available and approved for US medical usages. I also have no doubt that what they were using and what we consider HGH aren't exactly the same thing. However, I don't think "it doesn't help someone that already has HGH" is completely valid either. It might not help a baseball player who relies on coordination as much as a weight lifter, but I doubt that its zero help either. OK misspoke a little here HGH synthetic has been around since the mid 80's while natural HGH has been around since the 40's. https://americanhistory.si.edu/blog/2012/10/human-growth-hormone.html
Badgers finish the year ranked 11th. A few thoughts this wasn't a bad year for the Badgers with all things considered. The offensive line was a big let down this year considering how good or hyped they were coming in to the year. Going into next season I am kind of intrigued on who is going to be the starting QB and what the offense is going to look like. Defensively I think the Badgers need to improve on the defensive line. The defensive line is still getting basically manhandled in both the running and passing game. There is very little push by the defensive tackles on running plays and the same on passing plays.
I think Cephus will go in the 3rd-5th round. I think he would be a perfect fit for the Lions, Bears, Packers, or the Patriots in rounds 2-4. I could also see a team like the Jaguars or the 49ers taking him in the 3rd or 4th round. I believe Cephus will be a good #2 or #3 WR in the NFL.
I don't believe Cephus coming back for another year is going to change his draft stock all that much. He will go from a 3-5 round pick to a 2-4 round pick and if he gets injured he could slot all the way back to the later rounds. I just don't think the risk of him getting injured is worth moving up one round in his draft grade. If he is being told he won't be picked until the 6th or 7th round then yeah he should definitely return as the injury risk is negated.
Kids screaming and crying on a plane don't bother me but the tablet, phone, or any other device that someone is listening to without headphones makes me want to throw things.
