  1. It is mostly the Badgers abandoning the play action. I think this is a problem with the offensive line and their pass blocking not allowing enough time for the play action to work. Perfect example of this was the final 3rd down possession the Badgers had last week. They went with a pass play that was horribly called against a cover 2 defense which Illinois runs. The receiver didn't get deep enough into the cover 2 and it was picked off. If the Badgers instead would have ran play action on that play I think they hit for a big play and put the game out of reach. The Badgers were running play action earlier in the season but it looks like the offensive line is just not allowing for the play action to develop as the QB is getting rushed far to quickly for the play action play to work correctly. I hope this weekend they play some more play action as I believe the Badgers can exploit Ohio State stacking the line against JT. Play action can also open up the running game as the safeties won't be able to play up as much and the linebackers will have to stay back. The Badgers don't have to hit the deep ball to be successful they just need to be able to run the play action more. Even a gain of 10-15 yards on play action can start to move those safeties back and make the linebackers play less aggressively at the line.
  2. Not a dollar amount but you could assume the larger cities are about 2-3 times more expensive than Milwaukee. https://mediatracks.com/resources/nielsen-dma-rankings-2019/
  3. The summer concerts on Freemont are fun though they ended last weekend.
  4. I think the Bucks will win 60 games this year. Giannis will be the MVP again and they will reach the Finals and win against the Clippers in 7-games in Milwaukee in a double overtime thriller where Giannis and Kawhi score 70 each.
  5. If you are going to do the Ferris Wheel look on groupon for a discount for that. There is always one on there and I think it saves about $5-10.
  6. Sanders and a 5th to the 49ers for a 3rd and 4th.
  7. Some very poor tackling today by the Badgers.
  8. Video game trade but........ Dodgers get: Davies, Peralta, Hiura and Hader Brewers get: Gray, Kelly, Barnes, Lux and Seager
  9. Turner is the face of the Dodgers and still a good player. Trading him would be a bad look for a contending team. On paper, I completely agree with you though...especially considering Turner's age. Bellinger has more than likely replaced Turner as the face of the Dodgers but really that is Kershaw more than anyone else. Regardless the Dodger fans would get over it real quick if they get Rendon.
  10. If the Dodgers were going to go after Rendon it would make sense to trade Turner as Muncy would be a cheaper option at 1B than Turner.
  11. Not sure why that is crazy? Before their QB went down last year the 49ers looked to be a team on the rise.
  12. How is Chris Carpenter going to explain this to his kids?
  13. Is that really going to matter if you are going to be rebuilding? It is going to take at least 2-3 years for them to rebuild. By the time they are ready to be competitive his cap hit won't even be a factor. Well...yeah, I'd think paying as much for the guy to play for another team would matter. Especially since they've given no indication they were planning on "rebuilding." They're a young team that played NE to go to the SB just two years ago. They're obviously a flawed team, but they've also played a tough schedule. Loss to KC to start the year, they lost to the Texans when they went for 2 with 30 seconds left. They just lost to the Saints. They're the exact type of team that can win 10 games or lose 10 in a given season. I think they eventually end up dumping Coughlin and his old school nonsense and try to keep Ramsey. But I don't see them rebuilding at long as they're in a winnable division. They really screwed up in not paying Ramsey this past off-season. He's an elite player, the type you can build your D around. But they can still control him for the next 3-4 years without overpaying him. But I'm thinking they're going to at least want to see what Foles can do before they pay him and trade him. But again, as long as Coughlin is there, who knows what they're going to do. I think the Jaguars are in full on rebuild mode with the Ramsey trade.
  14. More like refs won that one. Just when you thought the NFL refs couldn't be any worse they like hold my beer we can do worse!
  15. Refs just handing this game for the Packers.
  16. There was no spear. The defensive player was diving forward for the ball and the receiver dived also. That was incidental contact no foul.
  17. Eh. If you make contact with a helmet while diving forward, that HAS to get called. The perception is that the NFL doesn't care about safety. They HAVE to call head-to-head hits like that, regardless of intent. So you would be OK with the offensive player getting the flag there?
  18. Wow that was a horrible penalty not even close to unnecessary roughness.
  19. i would be shocked if he got consideration from anyone. I think this is a case of the brewers wanting to improve their IF defense. He has been rumored as a candidate for a few of the open manager positions.
  20. Scouts haven't just looked at stats for the past 10+ years and probably longer. Some on here get way too caught up on the stats of a player and forget that that is only 1/3 of the equation that scouts and teams are looking at. Scouts for Cephus and others are going to be more interested in how well he catches a ball and how well he runs a route. They will also care more about his cut quickness and his general quickness on the field. Stats are basically the last thing teams and scouts are looking at. Scouts are more opening of their eyes when it comes to how athletic a player is than they are of their "stats".
  21. I think Jordan is the greatest athlete of any sport. I think Gretzky could give him a run but that is the only player I can think of who maybe as good or better than Jordan. In the NFL I don't see anyone who can challenge those two same with MLB maybe Ted Williams if he didn't go to war twice.
  22. Is that really going to matter if you are going to be rebuilding? It is going to take at least 2-3 years for them to rebuild. By the time they are ready to be competitive his cap hit won't even be a factor.
  23. Do you think he'd rather be an NCAA HC or NFL DC? I wouldn't be surprised at some point an NFL team offers him a HC position.
  24. Lux has more value than Hader. Woodruff for Lux is closer but I think Lux has a little bit more value than Woodruff. Geez. Lux is a prospect. A good one no doubt, but still a prospect. I disagree wholeheartedly that a player that has proven next to nothing in MLB is worth substantially more than a super young top 3 MLB reliever with multiple years of control, much less a young ace-caliber pitcher with multiple years of control. Lets get real here. Yes lets get real here. Cost + years of control makes Lux more valuable.
