  1. I don't like the idea of making a big trade with the Yankees, primarily because Cashman isn't an idiot and probably won't make a bad trade. Brodie on the other hand...yes let's do business with him. That trade is pretty even for both the Yankees and the Brewers. Andujar has a lot of question marks on his defense at 3B which depending on how a team views him can bring his value down a lot especially if a team sees him as 1B or DH as that market is overly saturated with very similar players.
  2. I put this in the other Hader thread but I think the Yankees make the most sense here. Andujar and Garcia would be a very tempting offer.
  3. If the Mets are offering Davis AND McNeil, jump on it! It creates one issue every couple of days, but solves two everyday. I would hold out for something better. I am not all that in love with McNeil and Davis is another Shaw type to me and the Brewers already have Shaw why give up a valuable asset just to get the same player back? If I am trading Hader I would look at the Yankees, Dodgers, Astros, and the Twins before I even think about picking up the phone and listening to what the Mets are offering. I would prefer to trade with the Dodgers and somehow get May but I don't believe the Dodgers are going trade May. I wonder if the Yankees would do Deivi Garcia and Andujar for Hader. Andujar is probably better suited at 1B than 3B which would drop his value a little bit and you may be able to get someone like Florial or Pereira in addition to Garcia and Andujar. Garcia is a top of the rotation type starting pitcher at AA right now so he is on track for either being in the majors by the middle of the next season or at the latest the 2021 season. Garcia is a 50 FV type of a prospect so he is definitely in the range of what you can expect for a Hader return prospect wise. The biggest down size is his height at 5'9" other than that his biggest issue would be his BB/9 but his K/9 has been about 12 K/9 which is in the elite range for starting pitchers. If you can get Andujar and Garcia from the Yankees that gives you a stud 1B/3B and a #1/2 pitcher with Ace potential. Preferably the best trade options are with the Astros, Dodgers and Twins in terms of MLB ready players who have a lot of control left. For the Dodgers you are looking at trying to center something around May or Ruiz. For the Astros it is Whitley and for the Twins Lewis, Kiriloff, or Graterol would be the center pieces of a trade for Hader. I don't think the Twins will trade either of those three for Hader and the same with the Astros and Whitley. Realistically I think a Hader trade comes down to the Yankees, Dodgers and the Mets. I don't see the Mets having the players the Brewers want and the ones the Brewers do want are probably not available. The same probably goes with the Dodgers with May and Ruiz being off the table for Hader so you are looking at second tier players from the Dodgers in Downs, Gray and Cartaya. While I like Gray from the Dodgers I am just not that in love with him and Downs being the center pieces for a Hader trade. I just don't see a Hader trade as a possibility as I don't believe the assets are available for a Hader trade to happen.
  4. That is a quick no from the Orioles. Rumors of the price for Mancini are at least one top 30 prospect plus more. So you are going to have to pay about the same price as what Yelich cost a few years ago.
  5. This is economics 101 supply and demand. Why is it so hard for the news outlets to understand this?
  6. I just don't see the Rose Bowl committee going with UW over PSU when the possibilities are Utah if they don't make the CFP or Oregon if they win or if Utah wins and makes the CFP. If it is Utah I can definitely see the Rose Bowl committee going with PSU and if it is Oregon I give UW about a 30% chance of being picked over PSU. I believe UW will be playing Auburn unless they somehow beat Ohio State this weekend.
  7. I have never really liked Toyota or Honda. Hyundai makes some nice cars though and the same with Subaru. For a luxury car I used to like Infiniti but their quality has dropped off which sucks because their G37 was my favorite car I have ever owned.
  8. Nashville, Austin, San Antonio, Charlotte and Vancouver are on my list of possible next destinations if I ever move again. Seattle is turning into San Francisco in terms of living expenses. I have no idea how anyone can live comfortably in San Francisco.
  9. This is a horrible trade for the Padres.
  10. I believe the Rockets, Clippers or the Jazz could knockout the Lakers
  11. That was a great game last night against the Jazz neither team quit and it was a fight for the whole game. It looked like the Bucks were going to run away with it after the end of the 3rd but the Jazz kept on fighting and holding on.
  12. But replay bad. We must have human error in game!
  13. Erceg has little to no value. This is an auto decline.
  14. Not sure why this even matters. I haven't owned an American car in forever Ford and GM make some pretty trashy vehicles for the same price as their competitors but their competitors make more reliable vehicles for the same amount or less. If Ford or GM made a car that is actually worth what they are selling it for then I will buy one. Dodge is probably the worst right now especially their over priced trucks that are guaranteed to break down at around 70k miles and good luck having Dodge honor their warranty.
  15. Not sure where to put this but the NBA is talking about changing their playoffs schedule, seeding and play in. I don't really like this but I can see the appeal. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nba/report-nba-in-talks-to-alter-seeding-schedule-and-playoff-play-in/ar-BBXe5Vz?li=BBnba9I#image=BBWvSmf|2
  16. There are a few: Roberto Ramos (AAA): .309/.400/.580/.980 Brian Mundell (AAA): .333/.399/.521/.919 Jose Marmolejos (AAA): .315/.366/.545/.912 All three were in the PCL so take the stats with a grain of salt. Though all three have decent OBP numbers regardless of the league they were playing in.
  17. This is so true. Would be nice for one of these recruiting classes to actually perform to their talent.
  18. I thought this was going to be a thread about people dreaming of Orlando being a great player next year.
  19. The reason why Brown was left off according to Haudricourt: https://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/mlb/brewers/2019/11/20/brewers-add-corey-ray-j-p-feyereisen-roster-do-not-protect-zack-brown/4243897002/
  20. Ray and Feyereisen added to the 40-man Brown, Webb, and Erceg left off. https://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/mlb/brewers/2019/11/20/brewers-add-corey-ray-j-p-feyereisen-roster-do-not-protect-zack-brown/4243897002/
  21. It is more of supply and demand than it is the higher interest rates. There are just more applicants in the pool and the banks are now able to take on more risk because of this. With the higher applicant pool the banks can take on more risk as the average person far out weights the high risk person.
  22. It is far more complicated than this. The federal reserve has been messed with so many times that the interest rate is artificially low which allows the banks to lend more at a lower rate. Take housing interest rates for example in 1980 the average interest rate for a home was something like 20%. We could go back to the 1980 or even the 1990 interest rates but that would crash the economy and put us in a far worse depression than what happened in the 1920's.
  23. Another reason to like Giannis.
  24. Abreu was never a possibility.
  25. Rumblings of Newton to the Bears in the off season. As a Bears fan I don't like it as it doesn't fix the issue of the offensive line it is just a different QB with a bad o-line. Not even sure how they would fit him under the cap.
