    Going to go with something heart related but very sad to hear. A lot of athletes lately have been diagnosed with irregular heart problems. Could be anything from a birth defect to possibly some supplements they are taking (not PED's).

    I said this when the Cardinals traded and then extended Goldschmidt. The Cardinals over paid both in money and years on that extension compared to what he would have received in FA. The Cardinals are going to regret this signing.

    Sano is really a 1B/DH type. It would be fine to trade Shaw for Sano if you are looking at putting him at 1B. He should really be a DH and I don't see Stearns doing this trade because of this.

    So Russell to the Warriors. It looks like the biggest losers in FA are the Knicks and the Lakers so far Kawhi is still out there. I don't see the Knicks getting Kawhi but the Lakers might. If the Lakers get Kawhi how are they going to fill the rest of the team?

    Didn't expect to see Durant to sign with the Nets but that is the latest rumor. I wonder if this means the Nets are going to resign Russell over Kyrie.

    Thinking Kawhi and Durant to the Clippers. Apparently Durant will be making his decision tonight. I am 90% confident it will be the Clippers with Kawhi going with him. It is going to be funny when the Knicks don't sign anyone of note. Though I could see the Knicks giving Brogdon a $20m a year deal if they don't get Durant or Kawhi. The Lakers are going to sign Russell if the Nets sign Kyrie which it looks like they will and that will eliminate them as a possibility for Brogdon.

    If Middleton is resigned Brogdon is the starting SG also if Middleton doesn't sign Brogdon is the starting SG on the Bucks. I am not sure how much more of a featured role he can get. He is not at the level of Giannis so he is not going to command the offense of any team. Brogdon is a nice player but he is not a superstar I would actually put him just a little bit behind Middleton but ahead of Bledsoe. Brogdon could definitely find a role where he is the #2 option in the offense but then he is probably on a team that isn't as good as the Bucks will be. On most teams Brogdon is going to be the #2 or #3 option. So if he wants to be on a more featured role I don't think that role exists anywhere other than on a team that is completely rebuilding.

    I did this: Nationals get: Burnes, Ray and Brown Brewers get: Strasburg Value wise per that site is the Brewers giving up more but it is close.

    You can add Strasberg to the list he has an opt out after 2019 or 2020.

    He does rely on location and that may take a bit to come back or to get a feel for it. I don't expect him to be back until next year.

    I didn't see a thread for this yet. The Badgers 2020 recruiting class is looking rather good a few good 3-star recruits on defense and a nice 4-star also. So far really liking what the Badgers will be getting in 2019 and 2020.

    I have been watching the new Archer series. While not as good as the firs couple of seasons this one is a bit better and funnier than the last two.

    Not counting the Cardinals out yet but this is a serious blow to their season.

    Ray is more comparable to Jackie Bradley Jr. than he is of Keon Broxton. In what way? Bradley consistently made contact throughout his career, while Ray is a strikeout machine. Bradley had an outstanding sophomore season in college, was really good in his first full pro season, and earned his way to the majors by age 23. Bradley has been about a 26% strikeout player. Before this season Ray was around 30% so about a 4% difference. Both are good but not great defensively though Bradley is probably a step above him. Offensively Bradley and Ray are nearly identical you are going to get low average type of offense out of them a career year being something around .270 with about 20 HR. Bradley is nearly a defensive first OF with some pop in his bat which is what I see Ray as.

    How to tell if the Brewers are winning on the Brewerfan.net forums. 1: Check how many pages are in the IGT 2: If the pages are greater than the # of innings then the Brewers are losing 3: If the pages are less than the # of innings then the Brewers are winning or are tied 4: If the IGT only has a couple of pages by the 6th inning then the Brewers are winning by a lot

    With that career BABIP of .360 he has a career average of .268 which is probably where he will end up somewhere around .260. His .280 batting average currently is not sustainable and will fall.

    Ummm ... I'm not buying what you're selling. Look at those stats once again! It's not even close! Santana K% 29% with a babip of .359 is not sustainable and his average is going to drop. Guaranteed that Santana will have a batting average closer to .260 and possibly even lower.
