  1. Yeah sure if you want to trade for someone not named Brown. It is going to take the 30th pick plus next years first to get Brown. The Packers are not going to get him by offering garbage picks.
  2. The Packers are going to have to give up more than the #30 pick to get Brown. The Cardinals are also looking to get Brown and they can probably offer the Steelers more. A more realistic trade is the #30 pick this year and the Packers 1st round pick next year. That puts the Packers ahead of the Cardinals as the Ctadinals won't be trading their 1st round pick this year but a 2nd and their 1st next year is probably what they will offer. The 49ers could also use Brown though I am not sure they have the cap space to get him. The Lions could also be a contender for Brown. The Cardinals are probably the favorites right now to land Brown. I don't see the Packers parting with the picks it would require to get Brown.
  3. I think there are more indoor ice rinks around here than there are in the Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, and Sheboygan area combined. Surprisingly this is more of a hockey city than anything else but like baseball most of the hockey fans are Rangers, Maple Leafs, Blackhawks, and Kings fans. At least I run into more Blackhawks and Leafs fans.
  4. I assure you that no one leaving Wisconsin for spring training will be found in Flagstaff to ski. I know many people who come from Wisconsin to ski as there are no mountains in Wisconsin just in case you haven't noticed.
  5. I hope not, it has been freezing in the morning waking up to 30 degree weather. Hopefully it will warm up but with the rain coming tomorrow I doubt that it will warm up all that much at least for this week. On the bright side if anyone wants to do some skiing or snowboarding up in the mountains you will be able to do that. All of the ski resorts should be open until mid March this year. Another 2 feet of snow predicted for tomorrow up in Flagstaff.
  6. I made it through the first song and half of the second song on "Top Tracks" on Tidal of J. Cole. Farther than I thought as I was about to stop 1 minute into the first song. My issue with rap is that the "pretty good" artists are still abysmally bad compared to other music artists. I think Rap has the same issue as Metal in that so many bands proliferate that aren't very good because their target audience isn't very discerning, which in some ways is pretty common with "boutique" music. Death before Disco, Death before death before Rap... I could listen to Gnarls Barkley on repeat for 5-6 hours before even wanting to play 1 song from J. Cole. Personally, I don't get into music artists who think their lyrics are too good to be drowned out by "background" music. Music by definition is not some poser who thinks his/her words are gods gift to the world, but sound and rhythm and tempo and everything most rap songs lack. Sure I'm painting a broad brush when I stereotype that, but I haven't found good rap and I really would be interested in hearing some good rap. Anyone with recommendations? I can't recommend good rap but I like Tech N9ne. For the most part Rap is more about a beat that goes on a loop than it is about musical instruments.
  7. The old ASU stadium is pretty nice but if you want shade you will want to sit on the 1B side. If you are into the bar scene Mill is awesome. Downtown Phoenix isn't all that bad either if you want to go out at night can be cheaper than Mill and Scottsdale. Some of my favorite restaurants in Tempe: Cornish Pasty Four Peaks If you go here get the Kilt Lifter beer. Oreganos Not in Tempe: Phoenix Ale Brewery If you are going to the Peoria Sports Complex my favorite restaurant Abuelos If you want to do something fun TopGolf is always fun. TopGolf
  8. Congratulations Clancy you have now made Yuni B the second worst defensive SS in Brewers history. Not sure why you want to do this but you did it.
  9. So based on nothing got it.
  10. Not sure where you are getting this information on Middleton for conditioning. Work ethic hasn't been an issue either. I haven't found a single article mentioning Middleton being out of shape.
  11. If anyone is moving to 1B in this scenario it would be Shaw or Moustakas and not Hiura.
  12. No, the Bucks already have a contract to broadcast their games on FSWI MLB would be buying that contract. MLB could then either broadcast those games or sell the contract to another party. The Bucks don't have to pay for anything as they sold their rights to broadcast their games to FSWI. What is likely happening is that MLB is bidding on the contracts to broadcast MLB games that were sold to the Fox Sports regional channels and will have someone bid with them to take on the other contracts.
  13. Marquette a 3 seed in the East? Wisconsin also with a 4 seed in the Midwest. Not sure if Wisconsin will fall after their loss today to Michigan. East (Washington, D.C.): (1) Duke, (2) Michigan, (3) Marquette, (4) Iowa State South (Louisville): (1) Tennessee, (2) North Carolina, (3) Purdue, (4) Nevada Midwest (Kansas City): (1) Virginia, (2) Kentucky, (3) Houston, (4) Wisconsin West (Anaheim): (1) Gonzaga, (2) Michigan State, (3) Kansas, (4) Louisville From: https://www.ncaa.com/news/basketball-men/article/2019-02-09/march-madness-top-16-teams-revealed-season-look-ncaa
  14. I saw Glass a few weeks ago. Typical M Night Shyamalan movie and if you don't know what that is then just get ready for the stupid plot twist at the end. It worked one time why does he keep on doing this over and over and over and over again. I would be ok with the ending plot twists if they were actually good and made any sense at all. Stupid plot twist that completely derails the movie.
  15. The top 2 players dont have offers from 27 plus clubs. You dont see evidence Just because the top 2 players don't have offers from 27 plus clubs does not equate to collusion.
  16. Based on the score of that game, and that history tends to repeat itself, I'm wondering if that D is enhanced by some strategically placed video cameras during the week. Not really all that difficult to game plan against the Rams when you have two weeks to do so. If you stop the Rams run game you basically stop their whole offense. The Bears, Lions, and one other team did this earlier in the year and the Rams were basically dead in those games. Stop Gurley and you can beat the Rams don't stop him and it is tough to beat the Rams as Goff doesn't need to pretend to be an elite QB for the Rams to win. If you put everything on Goff throwing the Rams to victory you have won the game. From time to time the Rams are going to beat you in the air but for the most part that team is built around Gurley and getting him the ball. The Patriots basically shut the run game down and the Rams abandoned it. When they abandoned the run they lost the game at that point as there was no way Goff was going to win that game as the Patriots were just tempting him to throw the ball and beat them that way. Goff didn't even have the time to throw the ball let alone when he did the WR's weren't all that open. Except for two drops in the end zone as both of those were catch able balls and should have been caught the Rams just failed to execute. They gave up on the run game in the 3rd quarter and gave up on Gurley. Maybe Gurley was hurt and that is the reason why they abandoned the run but they needed to run the ball and just didn't. The Patriots were lining up in an all pass defense with some blitzes put in. The Rams just didn't adjust to the Patriots defense.
  17. I just don't see any collusion and I don't see any evidence that supports collusion either. Just because a team has money to spend doesn't mean they have to spend it. You can agree or disagree with a team spending or not spending what they have available but that doesn't mean the teams are colluding together and not spending on free agents. The times have just changed where shorter termed contracts are more valuable than longer termed ones. There maybe some players who may get a long term contract but for the most part short term contracts are more desirable by teams. If anything I believe some players see the writing on the wall but some agents and players are too blind to see it and are still chasing those long term contracts at high dollar amounts. The top two free agents this year have received offers for long term contracts just not at the price that they want. This does not equate to collusion at all. While all of the teams in MLB could afford a long term contract for Harper or Machado that doesn't mean every team should do this. Each team is different and an independent operation. You can't compare the Yankees to the Brewers and you can't compare the Red Sox with the Royals. These are different teams with different budgets and different needs. While the Brewers could go all the way up to the luxury tax it would not be something they could sustain for a long period of time. The same could be said about the Rays, A's, Royals, Twins, and a whole bunch of other teams. The teams that believe that they can compete will invest in players. Now that doesn't mean the players get the contract that they want and the team has to bend over backwards to give in to every demand that they want. The biggest problem in baseball today is not collusion it is the horrible system of team control which the players agreed to. The current system is flipped around right now with the best players being paid very little and the old veterans who are not the best players currently earning a larger share. I don't see the players union changing this and I don't see the owners budging on the cost control. I don't see a strike coming as the players union doesn't want to risk a strike and the owners don't want to risk a lockout. I think some revenue sharing will be given to the players and this will appease the players union but won't really fix the problem.
  18. I wouldn't even consider trading Davis until the offseason where it makes more sense as the Celtics are willing to give up basically all of the picks they have been stockpiling for Davis. The picks the Celtics have are worth far more than what the Lakers can offer and basically anything any other team can offer. In the off season it is going to be funny watching the Knicks trying to get every single superstar they can get and come away with nothing. That team is just horribly ran yes it is NY but wow that team is just a dumpster fire.
  19. It is also short sighted to trade your top prospects for middling players like Sonny Gray which you championed for.........
  20. First one I can think of is you are going to have trouble getting an insurance company to correctly value the vehicle. Insurance companies have a rather hard time placing a value on the vehicle. For example if you buy a vehicle that is a rebuilt title for $15,000 the insurance company may value that vehicle anywhere between $5,000-10,000. You will also want to check with your insurance company to see if they will even insure a rebuilt title some companies won't. There are many issues to look out for with the biggest being the frame. Since these vehicles that have been totaled by an insurance company you are looking at vehicles that have severe frame damage. You will want to look for cracks and what was repaired on the frame. You will want to check the alignment it is possible the vehicle is currently aligned correctly but a couple months later it will be like you are driving a car that has hit every single pothole for a year straight. To be honest I wouldn't even mess with a rebuilt title it is going to be more of a hassle than it is worth.
  21. Middleton joins Giannis on the All Star team. http://www.nba.com/article/2019/01/31/big-names-highlight-nba-all-star-reserves
  22. Rating kids on how fast they can read makes no sense to me. Reading comprehension is more important than how fast you can read. Not sure why schools would keep track of this. Feels like this was rather useless when I was in school why is it still being tested and tracked now?
  23. Adding Keuchel would allow the Brewers to trade at least one of Anderson or Davies. I don't see the Brewers trading Thames the market for 1B/DH types is just non-existent. Thames has more value playing for the Brewers than he does on the trade market and that is more to do with there being no market for 1B/DH types. Keuchel on a 3-year $54m contract is a steal for what you are getting. Go back about 5-10 years ago and Keuchel would be getting a contract of 5-8 years at an AAV between $20-22m. Go back to 2012 and CJ Wilson received a 5-year $75m contract with the Angels basically a team is going to get Keuchel at the price of signing Wilson. Keuchel probably should have been looking at figures closer to what Matt Cain signed to at 6-years $127.5 million. Keuchel's value is closer to Matt Cain than CJ Wilson and whoever signs him will be getting him at a deep discount.
  24. Well the weather here in AZ will be in the 70's all week does this help?
