  1. This times a billion.
  2. Blah thought that was an away game. Also Alabama and Wisconsin to play a series against each other in 2024 and 2025. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/alabama-announces-future-home-and-home-series-with-big-ten-team/
  3. Badgers ranked 16th in the preseason polls. Ranked teams the Badgers will play. Ohio State #3 (away) Michigan #6 (away) Iowa #18 (home) Michigan State #22 (home) Nebraska #20 (away) Northwestern #24 (home) I don't see the Badgers sweeping the ranked games. Best outcome would be 4-2. I think the Badgers can beat Michigan but come up short against Iowa and Ohio State.
  4. It is more like $80.... there are other stations we like, but this is beside the point. No it is not. It is basically the point stop trapping yourself to a contract that the other end never fulfills.
  5. Why are you paying $100 a month for TV? Seriously there are better options than satellite and cable. YouTube TV, Hulu and PlayStation Vue all have better deals. All you need is an internet connection and that is it. You barely lose anything with these subscriptions other than some obscure channel that barely anyone watches.
  6. Players in their early years: Randy Johnson, Clemens, Verlander, Kershaw, Sabathia, Nolan Ryan, Scherzer, Sale and Greg Maddux. Current players: Walker Buehler
  7. Going to put Mike Jones on this list it just sucked that he got injured and just never made it to the majors.
  8. I think Bender might be a sneaky good acquisition for the Bucks. If Bender can re-find his 3pt shot again he could be a very valuable asset in this offense. What the Bucks really need is for one of Brown, DDV, and Connaughton to step up and be a competent SG for the Bucks either off the bench or starting.
  9. Not sure why anyone still has cable or satellite when YouTube, Hulu and PlayStation Vue are far better alternatives and can be cheaper.
  10. That is a nice pickup hopefully he can turn it around as he is still very young.
  11. For the Twins I think Davies makes the most sense. Davies won't cost a top prospect but a fairly good prospect can be expected. Something like Duran, Rooker and Thorpe.
  12. Not sure why Surhoff is on the list but OK. Well I understand the expectations of being a top pick but other than Bonds, Larkin, Clark, and Palmerio that wasn't that bad of a pick by the Brewers at the time. It was probably more of a money move than anything else.
  13. Nottingham for Leake would be about fair.
  14. I think this might be close to what the Brewers could get for Aguilar. Brewers receive: Poche and McClanahan Rays receive: Aguilar It works on the trade simulator but I am thinking the Rays may value Poche more than Aguilar. I would prefer O'Brien though as I believe he still hasn't fully grown yet at 6-4 and only 180lb.
  15. Apparently my house is on the flight path for the Air Force base here and F-35's are extremely loud.
  16. Riley O'Brien would be my top target from the Rays if we are trading Aguilar.
  17. If you don't have neighbors near you then I wouldn't worry about it. This is the setup I have minus the extender.
  18. That chance is probably close to a 10% chance of him playing for the Brewers this year and if he does come back it will be closer to the mid-September at the earliest. I wouldn't count on Wahl coming back this year at all. For Wahl to come back by September he would need to be pitching simulated games within the next 1-2 weeks. Then he would need at least 3-5 minor league rehab appearances he will probably start one or two games in A+ and then go to AAA and have a couple of relief appearances. That means he would need to be starting to do this by mid to late August. Right now he is in the phase of throwing off the mound where he will get rest in between the next step is then facing live batters which will then lead to simulated games. The simulated games have to start by the first week of August if he is not there then he is not pitching for the Brewers this year as he won't be able to get the minor league work in to complete his rehab. Basically we will know if Wahl will be pitching with the Brewers this year or not by the end of the first week of August. If he hasn't made progress to the simulated games by then or if he is not ready to start his minor league rehab assignment by mid August, then he won't be playing for the Brewers this year.
  19. Not even close and the Mets would have to be absolutely in love with Peralta and Burnes for this to even work. Arcia has no value to the Mets. If you are trading from the MLB team it would be Hiura and Peralta/Burnes that would get you close to Syndergaard's value. The Brewers are not trading Hiura so that removes him from the equation and I don't believe the Brewers will trade anyone on their MLB roster as it will make the team overall weaker. I could see either Peralta or Burnes traded but not both. The Brewers just don't have the assets to trade away to get Syndergaard. So you want to pay one player who may not even play next year what it would cost to keep two players? In what universe does this make sense? Cespedes may not even play half of the season next year and then you have the problem of where do you play him. You are also going to have to rely on Shaw and Pina to be at least half as good as Grandal and Moose. It just wouldn't make any sense at all for the Brewers to take on Cespedes even if they are getting Syndergaard. You are creating way too many holes that will need to be filled at some point and now you don't have the prospect capital to make those trades.
  20. Leake is another Davies type of a pitcher which is fine and if you are replacing Chacin with Leake that is also fine. Beckham replacing Saladino is fine but I would rather replace Saladion with Dubon or Perez. I don't like Elias at all though as he walks way too many. I wouldn't give up either Dubon or Williams in this package.
  21. I am having a hard time just finding pieces for just Diaz if you add Lugo it gets even more complicated. Adding Lugo means the Brewers are trading away their whole farm system in one trade. That leaves us at a huge disadvantage in the future if we want to make any trades. The same with Syndergaard the only way the Brewers are making a trade with the Mets that includes Diaz and Lugo or Syndergaard by himself is if the Brewers take on a majority of the Cespedes contract which is $29.5m for next year only. That is a lot of money to take on for a player who may not play next year and wouldn't have a spot in Milwaukee to play I would play him over Braun though but that is a lot of money to be sinking into two aging OF's.
  22. Keuchel's K/9 is nearly a whole K/9 better than Davies while also having a lower HR/9 and a BB/9. Keuchel also had a lower FB% which is also going to factor into his xFIP being lower. Not sure why you used Keuchel as that is an extremely bad example. Mike Leake would be a better example of him having a low K/9 compared to his xFIP and FIP and again this is due to him having a better GB% than Davies. If Davies increased his GB% to what Keuchel's and Leake's were last year he would have a better xFIP. He would still be around a 4.5 xFIP but it would improve. K/9 is not the number one factor but it does help in lowering your xFIP. The point I was trying to make is that there are better stats to use to point out that Davies year is not as good as his ERA is showing. While I would agree normally that xFIP would be a good indicator for this it is a poor one for the type of a pitcher that Davies is. You should expect his xFIP to be higher as he is not going to strike out as many players and his GB% is not elite. What we want to look at here are some supporting stats like Davies FB%, HR/9, BB/9, and GB/FB. Looking at Davies compared to Keuchel's 2018 season you can see that Davies is getting a bit lucky here and what is concerning is his GB/FB ratio and his FB%. I would expect Davies HR/9 to increase and his HR/FB rate to also increase over the rest of the year if he continues to pitch like he has. Maybe Davies will have a fluke year and continue to pitch to his ERA but I highly doubt it but I also don't expect him to pitch to his xFIP either. He will land somewhere in between as there is some improvement that still may come as he is below his GB/FB career rate so I would expect that to improve. I fully expect Davies to finish the year around 3.75-4.25 ERA and his xFIP will be around 5.00.
