  1. No, this is exactly the same team from last year with all of the same flaws just without a good bullpen to mask the starting pitching problem. The Brewers offense is about as good as it was last year maybe a bit better with the addition of Grandal. Losing Coles has had no impact on the Brewers offense. Though some on here had the opinion of losing Cole and replacing him with anyone would improve the Brewers offense. Reality is that Aguilar, Shaw and others are the same players as they were last year no difference.
  2. I'm pretty sure almost everyone on this board wanted Coles fired at some point last season. I don't see what Johnson would have done with the Brewers pitchers that would help this year. It is entirely possible Burnes and Peralta are the same pitchers with Johnson as the pitching coach. The narrative just changes then to is Johnson just a one year wonder. Coaches are scapegoats and nothing more in baseball at least for fans.
  3. Domingo is a DH and the NL doesn't have a DH. The only possible spot Domingo could take on defense would have been 1B and going into the season Aguilar > Domingo. The only other spot Domingo could have taken would have been Braun's spot in LF. Gamel overall has the same value as Domingo does currently if you go by WAR.
  4. I don't think they can at least not until the trade deadline.
  5. Ray is more comparable to Jackie Bradley Jr. than he is of Keon Broxton.
  6. Yes, I know about google and all it's magic, but I was looking for recommendations from people on this board who have tried multiple places and which ones they liked most. It still helps as you can find Yelp reviews and other reviews of the bars and restaurants.
  7. Google helps: https://www.jsonline.com/story/entertainment/events/2019/03/06/where-get-shuttles-and-buses-miller-park-and-milwaukee-brewers-2019/3078656002/ https://onmilwaukee.com/bars/articles/millerparkshuttles.html https://www.mlb.com/brewers/ballpark/transportation/shuttles Edit never been to Braun's Powerhouse but that looks to be the easiest to get to from Appleton taking the 41.
  8. Reports of Snell and the 30th to the Pistons for Leuer.
  9. Yelich has 50 HR and 30 SB in play for this year...which has never been done. That would certainly be fun. Even with doing that he may not even win the NL MVP if Bellinger continues on his pace. Which would be crazy.
  10. They were able to trade it once it became officially theirs. You can't trade a 1st rounder when you owe two future 1sts, but if you own the first for that year, you can trade it. Edit-I don't know that this made sense. Point is, they can trade it. They couldn't trade it before it was officially theirs for this year. It's to protect teams from themselves. That is just overly confusing dang you NBA and your weird rules!
  11. Another team would have to sign him and I highly doubt someone signs Gennett with a draft pick associated with him. I also don't see the Reds offering him that and risking him signing that QO. Gennett wouldn't be worth about $20m for a single season.
  12. I believe the Bucks can't trade their 1st round pick this year as they have a pick that will be traded next year.
  13. The same was said last year on a couple of trades.
  14. I am fairly confident that you have to keep track of the service hours if you are charging by the hour.

I don't think this is a Men's versus Women's thing but more of a there is nothing really going on in sports. You had two blah teams in the Stanley Cup and a stale NBA Finals (it would be stale if the Bucks made it). The NFL is still a few months away and the talking heads have to talk about something. Normally we don't have to see this stupid running up the score ramblings until the college football season starts. The Badgers were accused of this a lot when they would beat up on the cupcake teams. It has died down a little bit but still nauseating when it does get brought up.

Not a huge soccer fan but I don't remember people complaining when the original dream team just massacred everyone in the Olympics in basketball.
  17. Don't want to start a new thread but what would it take to get Strasberg? Strasberg could potentially be a rental as he has an opt out after this season.
  18. Biggest thing that is bugging me lately again is people walking into the elevator as soon as the doors open. Hello other people use the elevator and would like to get off but no you are in such a hurry you don't let anyone off and you are already smashing the floor button and the close elevator door button.
  19. False I will go with Braves, Brewers, Cubs, Dodgers and Padres.
  20. Sounds like the Hornets are hanging onto him because they know somebody wants him. And it makes sense. No reason not to. They have bigs, but nothing special and there are reports the Bucks are interested in Kaminsky. Marvin Williams would be a guy from Charlotte that would be a nice guy to add as well. Though he has a PO for 15 million this year, so that's unlikely to happen, baring a buyout. Probably a sign and trade deal but no idea who the Hornets would want in exchange. They wouldn't want Snell maybe Connaughton?
  21. Compared to other sports and other topics MLB journalism is actually rather good. I don't like Haudricourt but the title is from the AP not from him. I generally stay away from the AP for just about anything as it is normally just lazy journalism or click bait articles.
  22. Ready for a total mind bleep? My cable currently has MLB, NBA, NHL Networks and Golf Channel but no NFL Network. Not missing much with the NFL network. I would trade that for the NHL or NBA networks.
  23. It is in fact true that Bellinger wasn't part of a package for Braun. The prospects were of lower quality.
  24. I would trade for Burnes for the following: Scherzer, Strasburg, Syndergaard, or deGrom Does Burnes have the value to bring in any of these pitchers probably not right now. I would prefer someone who has at least 2-4 years of team control. The only way I would want anyone for a half of a season is if they would be willing to sign an extension at a team friendly price. I don't want to go over $20m a season for anyone over the age of 30 if they don't already have a contract. It could get interesting this off season if Strasburg opts out. If Strasburg opts out the Nationals will still be paying him from '20-'22 at $10m each year ouch.
