  1. I didn't see any Bill Hall. My first thought was Robinson Cano and then the announcers spent a whole AB talking about how he studies Cano. Bat on the shoulder and the to the hitting position same thing Hall did and his back leg also very similar to Hall's.
  2. I got seats for the 3d and 4th games of the 2011 NLDS for face at the last minute (lots of strange things had to happen for the Brewers to be playing in that series). Neither game was sold out. I kicked myself for not realizing that the All-Star game played in Phoenix earlier that year didn't sell out either. I got 1st row in the left field bleachers for $25 for game 3. I really hate that stadium though it feels like you are in a warehouse watching a baseball game.
  3. I'm not sure Haniger would be in my top 15 and Banda would fit in the top 15. To me Haniger would be where I would put Reed if he had the same year Haniger had so somewhere in the 20-25 range. Haniger seems to look like he is in between a AAAA player and a backup OF which is where I would put Reed and Wren at.
  4. Isan Diaz left handed hitting version of Bill Hall? Stances are very similar at least though Hall's had a more open front foot compared to Diaz. But watching Diaz hit has reminded me a lot of Hall.
  5. In game 7 the game is tied 0-0 man at 3rd 2-outs and the count is 3-2 Chapman balks and the Indians win the World Series. Has there ever been a game won in the World Series that ended with a balk?
  6. Are you sure you are getting all of your discounts? I know UW Alumni receive a discount through Liberty Mutual. I didn't switch as the discount wasn't all that much and my rate would slightly go up. But make sure you are getting all of the discounts that you are qualified for this is the biggest thing to get your rate down actually I think this is the only way to get your rate down other than changing your coverage and deductibles.
  7. I think baseball prospectus and ESPN had an article on this and they may have been the same article but the success rate should be something around 75%. If you have a success rate of anything higher than 80% the 3B coach was being to conservative and if below 70% to aggressive. I believe the article pointed out that 3B coaches should just be a windmill and send everyone as their success would be at or around the 75% success rate then. At the end of the year 3B coaches were leaving about 3 or 4 runs on the table with the way they are currently sending players for the year. I am not sure on what Sedar's success rate was for this year but I am going to guess and it would be around the 70% mark.
  8. International Draft might happen but it probably won't be implemented for another 4 years if at all. The shortening of the season to 152 games or less looks like it has gotten a lot of traction along with changes to the expanded roster rules in September.
  9. Why would the Rays do this it doesn't make any sense for them to make this trade.
  10. I hate Yield signs. It seems like there are only a few people in the world who know how to properly abide by the yield sign. Either people come to a complete stop when they don't need to or completely ignore the sign and don't look when they need to stop.
  11. That makes sense better to be learning how far you can push the envelope in a rebuilding year. It is not like the Brewers were going to lose anything with Villar and the number of times he was caught stealing. I also wouldn't be surprised if this is the same next year with the running being tuned down a little bit. Next year is going to be another rebuilding year so no big loss if he gets thrown out making some bad base path errors.
  12. This is funny. I can't believe I missed this!
  13. Khris Davis and Mark Trumbo are going to disagree here. He really needs to be moved to 1B. Hopefully that happens this off season the Brewers have a lot of replacements in the OF for next year.
  14. Well that is not good for his career. He is now going to be beaded whenever he bats against the Cardinals as that is not the Cardinal way. How is Chris Carpenter going to explain this to his kid?
  15. I would trade for McCann if the Yankees included someone like a Gary Sanchez and the Brewers had to take on the contract and were only giving up someone like Reed or Peralta.
  16. Uggg and Ennis was actually a PG that this team needed.
  17. Here's a crazy idea how about buying a AAA team and then moving them to Montreal. There is a stadium there to use though I am not sure what kind of shape it is in now. I would think the city of Montreal would at least want someone to occupy the stadium and would welcome a AAA team in. The team could just rent the facilities there and it would cut down on the actual cost of building a new stadium for a AAA team.
  18. Well that didn't come out like I wanted it to. I meant Prince was just better overall in my opinion not really a knock against Toral. I do like the Rizzo comp that is more accurate than Prince. As for Boyle there was reports that he was only topping out in the upper 80's to the lower 90'so and is now in the mid 90's. Is this true? I know during the Perfect Game event a few months ago he was throwing some gas.
  19. Colby what about in the HS ranks maybe someone like Joe Boyle? He should be available when the Brewers are picking. I still would prefer Alejandro Toral over any pitcher kind of reminds me of Prince but not as advanced as Prince was in terms of hitting at the same age.
  20. I am sorry but that is just funny and I have done the same thing to a friend when he asked how it felt.
  21. I wouldn't mind signing one or both of these guys before next years international signing period begins. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2016/09/cuban-pitching-prospects-norge-ruiz-cionel-perez-declared-free-agents.html
  22. My Eldred cup finally completely broke last year. Very impressive for a plastic cup.
  23. You misinterpreted what I said. If the Mets are doing this as a publicity stunt then it is a net negative which I don't believe the Mets are doing. They are bringing in a player that they think can play for them nothing more and nothing less. To me this is more like when Jordan tried to play baseball. It was something that he wanted to do he tried and it didn't work out.
  24. Except there is no gain on this. The Mets will more than likely be on the losing end of this as the majority of business classes will tell you this is a dumb idea if you are looking at it as a purely as a marketing or publicity gimmick. The amount of money the Mets will have to give over for this will be a net negative. Also what does Garth Brooks and spring training have to do with this? Teams do the celebrity and former players at spring training all the time. The majority of the time especially with celebrities is they normally pay for the opportunity to do this but you just never hear about it or it is for some charity event. The difference between your example of Garth Brooks in spring training and this is that Tebow actually has some talent and has a slim chance of making it to MLB while Garth Brooks who more than likely paid his way onto the spring training roster had no chance hence why he was only there for spring training and not instructionals where there are no tickets sold.
