  1. They aren't making another Kotor, they are making another Galaxies. I doubt it will allow a pause between combat rounds. I'm sure it will be another click fest RPG-lite.It is nothing like galaxies the developers have come out and said exactly this. All that I can really tell you is that I have been testing it. As for a click fest Kotor and other RPG's function just like this. Every game does actually.
  2. It depends on the situation. In your scenario, it would probably be ruled a single, and the runners would advance one or two bases depending on where they were when the ball hit the ground, where in the outfield the ball was, etc. Same thing they do now if they call a homer and the ball actually hit the top of the fence. That only sets up the replay for failure as you are now putting the judgement in the umpires hands. They may just say hey no one scores on that play even if a guy is on third because it is a close play and only gives the batter a single. This then brings up more controversy that the umpire blew the call again. If replay is to be added more it should be like the little league rules. No replay can be used if runners will be advanced so if a ball is called out and the runners could have advanced if it was a hit there is no replay. If a ball is called foul no replay available. The only time replay should be available is on safe and out calls at the bases and if the ball was foul not fair. Which to limit it like that really does not make any sense. I like the current replay rules that baseball has right now it makes sense for home runs as there is only one outcome that can happen unlike multiple outcomes that could happen on a foul or fair call down the line with runners on. Unless you want to call it a ground rule single/double depending on where the ball was hit with the runners only getting 1 base on a ground rule double and on a ground rule single runners stay at the base they were at unless at 1B then they move to 2B. But this still has some controversy to it and the umpire will still be blamed as blowing the call because it wasn't a ground rule single/double for the player it was the opposite. Way too much to think about and way too much randomness that could happen for this to be fair to any team. I would just rather just leave it as is and just take the bad calls as instant replay just opens up another new set of problems.
  3. Well Bioware is making a new Kotor just as a MMO not a RPG. It looks to be a very good game. http://www.swtor.com/
  4. I play guess pitch off but I am pretty sure there is an option to go back to the old way. The ONLY difference I think there is that you dont see the circle blink bright red if you pick both corrrect....is that what you dont like about it? Or is there something different? If you want the bright red you have to choose 1/8 I believe it is as the guessing pitch and location. That will give you the red dot if you guess correctly.
  5. Dark Souls is the next game after Demon's Souls. Demon's Souls is one of the hardest RPG errrrr actually the hardest game I have ever played. Dark Souls is supposed to be even harder the game is based on being hard and to frustrate you at times there is going to be multiplayer in Dark Souls also. You might want to check out Demon's Souls on the PS3 it is one of the greatest hits and is for $19.99. Demon's Souls is only on the PS3 though but Dark Souls will be on both the 360 and the PS3.
  6. While I like Berkman wouldn't a Marcum to the Red Sox for Iglesias be a better trade or a Marcum to the Yankees for Yadil Mujica and Austin Romine. Not the greatest trades but I believe Mujica can be a very good defensive SS his bat though may not be anything special. Romine would be the biggest chip the Brewers would get and he could easily be the best Brewers catching prospect. He is much better defensively than Lucroy is and offensively he will probably be better also. Not sure I would do that deal for Sellers with the Dodgers though. There is no way the Brewers release McGehee as he will still be cheap it just doesn't make any sense to release McGehee as he still has value.
  7. Games I am buying: Battlefield 3 (already preordered it)Mass Effect 3Uncharted 3 On the fence or waiting for price drop:MW3Deus ExDark SoulsSaints Row the Third
  8. If you are talking about the 2001 or 2002 Brewers rotation sure but not next years or any of the years following after that. Estrada is a 6th starter at best. I would rather give someone else the chance to be in the rotation before I even think about Estrada. Estrada is nice as an emergency starter or a long man in the bullpen but once teams face him more than once they will catch on and he will not have the same success as he is having now. He would be at a 5+ ERA easily if he were a starter for a full year close to what Suppan was. I do see Marcum as being one of the pitchers who could be traded. The Red Sox and Yankees are the teams that jump out to me who would be interested in Marcum the Yankees especially as they have no #2 or #3 starter in their organization right now. Marcum could easily fill that void for the Yankees and the Brewers could get a very nice piece in return.
  9. It won't be under $100m. Reyes may not get the 6 or 7 years that he is looking for or the Crawford contract that he is looking for but he still will get something over or at $100m.
  10. The Angels maybe a team that goes for Prince. I just don't see the Giants going after Prince. After 2012 the Giants will have to look at resigning Cain and don't forget about Lincecum who will be looking at getting a big deal after that year or after this year. I think the Giants are going to be busy trying to lock up both Cain and Lincecum long term than going after Prince. Also in 2012 Zito is owed $19m and in 2013 he is owed $20m the Giants don't get out of that contract until 2014 where they have a buyout at $7m. The option may vest also if Zito pitches 200 IP in 2013 or 400 IP from 2012-2013 or 600 IP from 2011-13. The 400 IP between 2012-13 could be possible last year Zito pitched 199.1 IP. The Giants also have Rowand at $12m in his final year in 2012 along with Huff who makes $10m in 2012 and a team option for $10m in 2013. The Giants are also going to have to fill the hole at SS. I just do not see how the Giants could resign Lincecum, Cain, and possibly even Wilson and then also sign Prince Fielder to a big contract. Lincecum is going to get a Santana like deal and Cain is going to get something close to that also. I believe Lincecum will get a deal 7 years and $150m. I actually don't see how the Giants are going to be able to get Lincecum and Cain back unless one of them takes a team friendly deal. After looking at the Giants I do not see how they could sign Fielder while not losing at least one or both of their top two pitchers. The Giants have holes in their infield and they have Belt who can play 1B and would be defensively better than Prince there. I just do not see the Giants as being someone who will be going after Prince when they need to resign their own superstars in Cain and Lincecum along with filling holes in their roster mainly at SS and the OF. Now Hart would be a good trade candidate to the Giants as his contract is small and the Giants maybe looking at adding someone like Hart to their OF. I still believe the Giants made a mistake last year in not trading for Hart even though they still won the World Series. They wouldn't have needed to trade for Beltran this year and they wouldn't have had to give up a good prospect like they did either.
  11. Hanley took a team friendly deal Reyes is not going to be taking a deal like that. If you want something to measure what Reyes will be looking at getting you have to look at what Crawford signed for this off season. Reyes and his agent have said they are actually looking to get a Crawford like contract this coming off season. So something like 7 years at $130-150 million. I don't think that he will get that but that is what Reyes and his agent are looking at to get. I still think Reyes will get at least $100 million if not just over that but the years will not be there because of his latest injury. I think Reyes will get something like 5 years and $105 million with the 4th year being a mutual option and the 5th year being a vesting option if he plays over 100 games in the fourth year of his contract.
  12. I'd rather have Nyjer Gomez/Ian Desmond in 2012 than a lot of the other options out there. Who else could fill fill the hole at SS? Judging by the list of FAs below, I'd take Desmond's potential upside if all it cost was Logan Schafer Luis Valbuena from the Indians who is blocked by Asdrubal Cabrera could be available. A McGehee for Valbuena deal would be fair for both the Indians and the Brewers. McGehee replaces their current 3B who is rather horrible.
  13. It makes sense that the Nationals are not in on Fielder. I believe they value Zimmerman more than a free agent like Fielder. If Zimmerman can't stay healthy at 3B they could always move him over to 1B where his defense and offense would be passable there. The Nationals are probably also looking at extending Zimmerman which is going to take a bite out of their payroll. It basically comes down to for the Nationals of extending Zimmerman or signing Prince. I'll take Zimmerman over Prince 100% of the time as Zimmerman is better defensively at a harder position to play and he can put up numbers comparable to Braun. The Orioles are a team to watch but I still feel as though with the addition of Chris Davis I believe they are going another route instead of a free agent. I wouldn't be surprised if the Orioles went after starting pitching in the off season either through trades or free agency. The AL East is somewhat there for the taking if the Orioles can get some better starting pitching as the Yankees look very weak in the starting pitching department.
  14. It is not a guarantee that Gamel will be better than Fielder at 1B either or how much better Gamel will be than Fielder.
  15. Red Sox, Yankees, Orioles, Rangers, and Mariners fine but the Dbacks, Giants, and Blue Jays? No way are they going to be openly bidding on Fielder especially the Giants and Dbacks. I also don't see the Mariners going after Fielder they have Smoak at 1B and I just do not see them being able to fit in Prince financially as a DH. The Rangers also do not seem to be a fit as they have enough players who can fit that DH role on their roster already Cruz, Hamilton, Young, and others. The Rangers also will have to try and resign Wilson which is going to take a lot of their budget along with them giving Cruz a long term contract. I just do not see how the Rangers could fit Prince financially into their budget. The Yankees have other pressing needs and they do not need to be adding another bat. I don't see Cashman having much if any interest in Fielder at all as he has enough players on his roster that can fill in the DH spot mainly Alex Rodriguez or Jeter will be playing some time at DH there. The Red Sox also do not make much sense at all. Are they really going to pay Prince $25m a year to DH? The answer is no when they get someone at a cheaper price in Berkman. If they wanted a DH/1B type they would just go after Pujols instead who would make more sense for them. Though Berkman makes even more sense for the Red Sox than either Pujols or Prince do. Don't forget both the Red Sox and the Yankees have huge holes in their rotations. The Yankees have an ace and a bunch of #4, 5, and 6 type of pitchers in their rotation. The rotation for the Yankees is Sabathia and then Hughes and that is it. Cashman knows he has to make the rotation better next year as he is not going to get another fluke year out of Colon and Garcia again. Burnett is horrible and is being paid like a top pitcher but performs like a #4 or #5 pitcher. I wouldn't be surprised if he is traded to the Cubs for Zambrano in the off season. Now the Red Sox also have problems with their rotation but it is not as bad as the Yankees but the bullpen for the Red Sox is a real problem. Papelbon is a free agent after this season and he is going to get a big payday. Can the Red Sox afford to lose Papelbon? Yes and no. If the Red Sox lose Papelbon in free agency they are going to look to first upgrade the bullpen krod looks to be the best option out there as a possible closer or setup man. Not sure how high the Red Sox still are on Bard at this time. Now onto the Orioles as I have stated previously it looks as though Baltimore is going to go with Davis and Reynolds as their 1B/DH options.
  16. I actually think the Red Sox will end up with Berkman having him play RF/DH for them mostly DH though. Maybe the Brewers can swing a deal for Lars Anderson who the Red Sox look to have soured on along with others. I think Gamel is better served to be playing in RF at least that is my opinion on where I think Gamel should be playing. Trading Hart/McGehee for a SS would be the ideal situation if the Brewers were to move Gamel to the OF.
  17. What about Berkman on a 3-year deal? While I do believe it is Gamel's job to lose I still believe he would be best used as a corner OF as he does have a strong arm. I believe McGehee and Hart may get traded probably not both but one will not be with the Brewers next year. The Indians make the most sense in terms of a trading partner where the Brewers could trade either Hart or McGehee for Valbuena. If Hart is traded the Brewers would need to get more back than Valbuena.
  18. Not to get this thread off even further but there are not that many teams that can afford Prince that will be looking to sign Prince. First you have the Yankees and Red Sox both need starting pitching over a bat. With the Red Sox I doubt they are ready to give Prince a big deal after giving Crawford and Gonzalez big contracts. The Yankees have to worry about Sabathia possibly hitting free agency he will probably get more money from the Yankees and I doubt the Yankees take Prince just to play DH at $25m a year about. That now leaves the Nationals, Brewers, Orioles, Cubs, and the Cardinals. Other teams that maybe in on Fielder are the Rangers, Angels, Astros, and the Dodgers. These four teams will have interest but will not go over $18-20 mil per year for Prince nor will they go over 5 years so that will eliminate them. Now for the other clubs the Nationals look like they are set at 1B with Morse. The Cubs owner sounds like they are going to be going into a rebuilding phase where they are not going to be signing a big name free agent this year. The Orioles look as though they are going to be looking for a 3B versus looking for a 1B as Reynolds and Davis will be their starting 1B and DH in 2012. Now that leaves the Brewers and the Cardinals going for Prince and Pujols and that isn't even looking at Reyes another player who may get a big deal also. The Brewers could afford Fielder and Greinke but that wouldn't be a smart financial decision by the Brewers. If the Brewers did that I wouldn't be surprised if Gamel, Green, Hart, or McGehee were traded in the off season or even Marcum. I could see Marcum being traded to the Yankees or the Red Sox in the off season. Depending on how desperate the Yankees or Red Sox are for pitching the Brewers could get Iglesias from the Red Sox for Marcum. Iglesias is an all defense and absolutely no offense at all SS. I believe it will be a mistake if the Brewers extend Marcum I would rather see the Brewers just sign Greinke or Fielder to a long term contract. Marcum just doesn't look like he will age well at all.
  19. Yes to Greinke but no on Marcum. I don't believe Marcum will be very good in the middle of that contract. I would rather just take the picks for Marcum assuming there is still compensation then.
  20. The thing is the Brewers are not going to get a 1st round pick for Prince. The teams that can sign Prince and will have interest in him will be teams with protected picks. So that means the Brewers will get a supplemental draft pick and a 2nd round pick if either the Orioles or Cubs sign Prince. Will that player in the supplemental draft pick be equal to Prince? I don't believe the Brewers are going to get much of any value unless someone like a Josh Bell drops out of the first round. Even with someone of Bell's talent wouldn't be in the majors for another 3-6 years and realistically you are looking at 5 years. The second round pick may not be all that great either.
  21. Depends on what teams are looking to add a big bat. It seems as though the Cubs ownership are looking at the future more than right now even though Prince would help them now and in the future. It doesn't look like the Cubs are going to be making a big splash in free agency this year. That leaves the Orioles, Brewers, and Cardinals as the top three teams looking at Prince, Pujols, and Berkman. There are some wild card teams in the Dodgers (I don't think they have the finances to do it), Rangers, and the Astros (not sure if they would be willing to go all in on someone like Fielder when they are really far away from winning.). The wild card teams are really shaky and they may as well just go with what they have in the Rangers and Astros case and the Dodgers may not be able to afford to keep the players they have let alone adding another superstar to the mix. The Dodgers are better served to keep Billingsley, Kershaw, Kemp, and Ethier than to lose one or more of those players and replace them with Prince. I really believe the Orioles are going to go with Davis and Reynolds at 1B/DH and then look for someone to play 3B. If the Orioles go with that option that leaves realistically the Brewers and Cardinals as players for one of the three free agent first basemen. I believe Berkman will sign with the Red Sox and take over as the DH/RF replacing Drew. That leaves Prince and Pujols both of whom in this scenario stay where they are.
  22. What a great game. I feel bad for everyone who turned the game off.
  23. Is it? Felix Hernandez was 13-12 with a 2.27 ERA last year. Clay Buchholz was 17-7 with a 2.33 ERA and David Price was 19-6 with a 2.73 ERA. Greinke had a 16-8 record and 2.16 ERA in 2009 and won the Cy Young. Felix Hernandez was 19-5 with a 2.49 ERA. Tim Lincecum was 15-7 with a 2.48 ERA in 2009 and won the Cy Young. Chris Carpenter was 17-4 with a 2.24 ERA and Adam Wainwright was 19-8 with a 2.63 ERA. Well since it has only been two straight years where the writers have looked at more than just wins and ERA yes it is. There has been a change in the writers in terms of looking at more than just wins for pitchers but the commentators have not changed and are still holding onto the concept of wins are one of the more important aspects for a Cy Young winner.
