  1. No not with his .336 OBP and he has a career .331 OBP. Crisp would be like putting Hart in the lead off spot.
  2. The only games I am waiting for now are M.A.G., COD MW:2, and the new Splinter Cell game. Everything else I am not really interested in I got Uncharted 2 and that game is awesome I love it.
  3. By the quotes from Money and others questioning his defense. I just do not see Salome being the starter this next season. Two were from this year and three from last year. There was definitely some improvement that I liked over last year I just don't see Salome as the #1 catcher in Milwaukee next season. I also don't see Gamel working out at 3B and would rather see him in the OF but that is just me. I am not the holy gospel on what a prospect is or isn't. I am just stating my opinion yoshii8 that is all. I just don't see Salome as the starting catcher next year for the Brewers.
  4. From what I have seen from him. Granted it has only been a few games and those may have been just a few bad days that I saw of him but his foot work wasn't right the times that I saw him. He wasn't able to get over and block the ball correctly and not being able to throw out a runner because he had some bad foot work. That is basically what I saw of the few times I have seen him play. Like I said it could have been just a bad couple of games. But I came off with the impression that his foot work needed work behind the plate.
  5. Salome right now is just not ready for MLB. What I was talking about is not Salome being horrible at defense but a hypothetical of him actually being horrible which would hurt the Brewers more next year than his bat could help them. If the Brewers were in the AL they would have had him up already playing as the DH and being the backup catcher. Salome's questionable defense would then not be a problem since he wouldn't be starting the majority of his games behind the plate. I still do not like Salome's foot work he still needs work there behind the plate. His arm has definitely become more accurate over the last couple of years which was part of what was worrying me about him last year. If Salome can get his foot work done better he will be in Milwaukee next year I just don't see him starting the year there.
  6. This would be a real big chance and I doubt it will happen not because Melvin may not want to do it but because I don't really think Sheets is willing to come back to Milwaukee.
  7. Harden would be fine if we got another pitcher to put in between him and Gallardo. I don't think you can count on Harden being a #1 or #2 but as a #3 he would be fine. Gallardo, FA or trade, Harden, Bush, and Suppan/Parra/Butler/Narveson. If the Brewers went the risky route you could have Gallardo, Sheets, Harden, Bush, and Suppan/Parra/Butler/Narveson. That would be an extremely risky rotation injury wise. Having both Sheets and Harden would be rather risky Harden hasn't put up a lot of innings and Sheets has been out for a year. Maybe with Peterson though he could fix something that Sheets and Harden were doing wrong before in their mechanics and they will be healthy for the whole year. I wouldn't be opposed to having both Sheets and Harden on the team but wow that is a lot of risk the Brewers would have to be willing to take on.
  8. This site isn't free but it is the best site for comparing and the rating of mutual funds. http://www.morningstar.com/ I listen to these guys on Sunday mornings every once in awhile they are on 620. http://www.mutualfundshow.com/ As for other sites you can always use Yahoo! Finance to do some research on them. Though morningstar is probably the best her financial advisor probably has access to that site at least any financial advisor that is smart would subscribe to that website. Morningstar was the only thing I used in college when doing my finance research.
  9. I like my brim non folded. I can see far better that way and I am a perfectionist when it comes to my hats so I don't like bending them because I am constantly bending them to get it perfect which it never is so I just leave them alone now.
  10. Whatever one that will not be happy with his deal and is already too expensive for the team that he is on that one. There is usually a couple of them every year that get traded during the offseason. Other than a trade drafting is the only way I see the Bucks getting a superstar player which you really need in the NBA. I doubt the Bucks will be worse than the Clippers or the Grizzlies this year though if Redd and Bogut do get hurt they will be the worst team in the league. You can't forget about the Knicks either they are also one of the worst teams in the league.
  11. Ankiel is not a cheap option he has Boras as his agent. I believe Boras is not going to settle for anything less than $10m a season for Ankiel.
  12. Yeah but taking age into account and Cameron is only about a year older than Abreu. The market for older players is not that great in free agency just look at last year Dunn and Abreu had to take discounts. If this next off season is anything like the last then I wouldn't expect Cameron to get anything more than $10m a season. He maybe worth that but I don't see many teams looking to add an aging CF. The market for Cameron is going to be rather small I believe and I believe Abreu will actually get more money than Cameron will get. I believe Cameron will get close to what the Angels offered Abreu.
  13. That is easy to answer the Brewers are in the NL where there is no DH rule so the Brewers can't use him there. Right now Salome is a C or a DH the Brewers can't afford to have Salome behind the plate having horrible defense. If the Brewers were in the AL they could easily bring Salome up next year and have him be the backup catcher and rotating in the DH spot with someone.
  14. With the NBA and its competitive balance problems it is not really a surprise if a team makes it in the 7th or 8th spot. Sometimes you don't even need a winning record or a record above .500 to make the playoffs in the NBA especially in the Eastern Conference. If Bogut and Redd stay healthy they are a 7th or 8th seed team and if Jennings is really good they could be a 6th seed team but I'm not going to hold my breath on that. I'm just hoping Redd stays healthy and can be traded so the Bucks will have more financial wiggle room for the next season for a trade to bring in a super star because that is the only way Milwaukee is going to get a big time player is through a trade.
  15. What no Vin Baker?
  16. Cameron is not going to be getting anything more than $8m a season on the open market. The Angels offered Abreu a 2-year $16m contract and of course Abreu rejected it thinking he will get more on the FA market which he won't. So Cameron won't get anything more than $8m in free agency I don't know where everyone keeps on bringing up Cameron getting $10m he won't get that in the FA market even with so little CF on the market. Cameron is going to get $6-8m a year and I'm going to guess this will be Cameron's last contract so he is probably looking for a 2-3 year deal I don't see a 3-year deal being available for Cameron though even 2-years is pushing it at Cameron's age. I believe the Brewers will resign Cameron at 2-years $14m which would be a bargain. DM would then trade Hart along with Hardy for some pitching and then find a $1-3m platoon option for Gerut in RF.
  17. Definitely a low ball offer here but not by much. Replace Salome and Hardy with Scarpetta, Odorizzi, and Green I think you start to come close to what the Royals would be expecting in return for Greinke. If the Brewers had another close to ready SS you could take Scarpetta and Odorizzi off the list and replace them with Escobar. I still don't think the Royals would accept it though. Greinke is just worth way to much to the Royals kind of like what Sheets was worth to the Brewers when he was the only good player on the Brewers except Greinke actually has a couple of good players on his team and one young good player with Alex Gordon. The Royals would be dumb to trade Greinke for anything right now it is not like the AL central is some strong division that they need a lot of talent to win it. I think the Royals are closer than people think to competing again now only if their GM would wise up and stop wasting money on bad free agents.
  18. This Jeter love affair that is going on right now is getting sickening.
  19. Beltran isn't a Yankee because he plays for the Mets and I doubt the Mets would trade Beltran to the Yankees for anything the Yankees would be willing to give up. The Yankees also were not that heavily after Beltran in 2005 either. The Mets were the ones going after him the hardest in the off season. The Yankees had Sheffield, Williams, and Matsui in their OF for 2005. I believe they traded for Sheffield and just signed Matsui that year Beltran would have been redundant but he would have been better than the aging Williams though. Also the Yankees signed Pavano and I think they either acquired Johnson that year or the year before from the Diamondbacks. If the Yankees wanted to in 2005 they could have signed Beltran they just chose to get more pitching with Johnson and Pavano. Also I believe Wang was signed that year not sure on that though.
  20. The Mets make the most sense for getting Lopez even if the Brewers offer arbitration to Lopez. The Mets 1st round pick is protected this year.
  21. I was thinking about what if the Brewers resigned Cameron and traded away Hart who would fit in as Gerut's platoon partner. There are a couple of players like Byrnes, Nady, and Baldelli (way to injury prone for my liking though). There are others but I believe all of the other players will cost to much for the Brewers. Nady could be a good buy low signing on a one-year contract. I don't expect Nady to do what he did in 2008 again though that was a career year but he could do what he did in 2007 again. Season Team G AB PA H 1B 2B 3B HR R RBI BB IBB SO HBP SF SH GDP SB CS AVG 2007 Pirates 125 431 470 120 76 23 1 20 55 72 23 2 101 12 4 0 16 3 1 .278 2008 Pirates/Yankees 148 555 607 169 106 37 1 25 76 97 39 2 103 9 4 0 14 2 1 .305 2008 Pirates 89 327 360 108 68 26 1 13 50 57 25 1 55 5 3 0 9 1 0 .330 2008 Yankees 59 228 247 61 38 11 0 12 26 40 14 1 48 4 1 0 5 1 1 .268 Gerut and Nady would be a near perfect platoon option for next year I am just not sure that Nady would like to be in a platoon situation though. I'm not sure what Nady could get in the FA market but I believe it will not be much.
  22. What happens when Miller Park's roof closes?
  23. I almost forgot about this play by Braun earlier in the year. Braun's diving catch.
  24. The best the Braves could get for Kawakami is someone like Corey Hart. For Lowe I would expect the Braves to get someone back who would have an equally bad contract Bradley comes to mind. Actually thinking about it a Bradley for Lowe swap is a rather good idea for both the Cubs and the Braves I just hope it doesn't happen.
  25. Except Wolf wants to and likes to be playing near the west coast for whatever reason. I don't believe the Brewers were even in the running to get Wolf last year even if they did go after him.
