  1. Maybe a 1st round pick to the Clippers from the Bucks and a 2nd round coming in from the Suns would make the deal work. Yes the Bucks are getting the two best players in the deal but the Suns are looking to dump salary. The Clippers would be getting the raw end of the deal but if they get a 1st and a 2nd round pick for this then the deal could go through. The Suns are really looking into getting out of Stoudemire's and Shaq's contract. I'm not sure who the Suns would be able to trade with to get rid of Shaq though. What the Suns are getting in this deal is a lot of salary cap relief all of the players they have coming in would be expiring contracts. This would free up a lot of salary cap space for the 2009 and 2010 free agency class.
  2. I wonder if this crazy trade idea would work. Something more would have to be going to the Clippers though maybe a draft pick I'm not sure. But for the trade itself Stoudemire and Gordon to the Bucks, Gadzuric and a 2nd round draft pick to the Clippers, Villanueva Elson Jones and Davis to the Suns. NBA Trade Machine link. The Suns are looking to trade Stoudemire and Shaq for salary cap relief. This trade alone wouldn't help the Bucks resign Sessions though but if the Bucks do this trade with the Cavs the Bucks should be able to shed enough salary to sign Sessions to a long term contract. Probably won't happen because of the players being traded for each other. I believe the Suns would be the biggest winners in the trade with all the expiring contracts they would be getting. The Bucks would also get one expiring contract and Amare would only be with the Bucks for next year because he will opt out of that contract. I'm not sure the Clippers would do this deal though and that would be the deal breaker.
  3. First update your AV, spyware, and any other online security programs you may have then go into your account change the password, and check to see what other e-mail's maybe attached to your account and if there are some delete them.
  4. No Parra should be fine this year and he shouldn't break down like he did last year. Parra should be able to pitch 180-190 innings this year. Gallardo maybe limited more so than Parra's will be this year. I would expect Gallardo to be limited in innings in the early part of the season.
  5. And this helps out a leadoff hitter how? You still haven't answered why it will help and if it does even help a batter. The majority of the time a fastball is the first pitch a hitter will see. Once a batter gets behind in the count they are going to be in trouble untill the pitcher screws up. I still don't see how watching pitches go by that a player can drive is a good thing. If it is a hanging curveball or slider that you can drive you better be swinging at that pitch and if you are not I wouldn't want that player on my team. No taking pitches does not mean you are going to walk more or have a higher OBP and why would you want to be taking a pitch untill you see the one you want. If you let a pitch that was driveable for an extra base hit or even a base hit is that really helping when the batter will probably be at 0-2 and will now have to go into defensive mode because they now have to swing at anything near the plate. How is that going to lead to more walks? A walk and a single are the same thing when batting leadoff. If a player can get a pitch they can drive they should always be swinging. A double or triple is worth more than a single or a walk for a leadoff hitter. A batter should always always always always swing at anything that is driveable. I don't care if the count is 0-0 and the player is leading off the inning or not. I bet the probability of scoring a run will be three times higher than that of a single or a walk by a leadoff hitter. You still haven't pointed out why taking more pitches is something that needs to be done for a leadoff hitter. Pitches on the black are going to happen and the majority of the time the player is going to take the pitch because they think it is a ball. I believe you are confusing taking pitches with plate discipline.
  6. A leadoff hitter does not need to see more pitches to be successful. I still can't understand why anyone still believes this old saying that leadoff hitters need to see a lot of pitches to be a good leadoff hitter. If this were true Weeks would be the greatest leadoff hitter of all time. Weeks takes a lot of pitches and this is his downfall right now. Rickie is not being aggressive enough at the plate and swinging at the pitches he can drive. I don't care when someone swings at a pitch. If a batter gets a pitch they can drive they should be swinging at it. The only time a hitter should be taking a pitch is when the count is 3-0 . That is the only time a hitter should ever take a pitch they could drive. Watching a pitch you can drive just to wait so you can swing at the next two pitches does not make any sense to me at all especially when the count is 0-0. If a batter falls behind in the count the pitcher doesn't have to throw a strike again untill the count goes to 2-1. If a player is taking pitches how does that make them a better leadoff hitter? Someone please explain this how you can be a better leadoff hitter by simply just seeing more pitches.
  7. Melvin has already said he won't trade Parra or Gallardo for Peavy. The Padres are looking for young starting pitching Hart is not a young starting pitcher. Hart won't be in a deal that lands Peavy in Milwaukee. Hart is just not someone the Padres would be looking for maybe if this was 2006 or 2007 then they would be looking at Hart, Jeffress, and others. I'm not going to turn this into a Peavy trade talk here and if you want to discuss a trade for Peavy there is a thread already open for that. As for trading Hart I don't see it as a possibility unless he is traded during the deadline. Hart won't be traded anytime before that if he is even traded at all. Hart looks likely to be traded next year along with Prince when Gamel, Cain, and Gillespie could be ready to join the Brewers.
  8. Gadz is impossible to trade since he doesn't add any value to a team. He is not an expiring contract, he isn't young, and he isn't very good at all. RJ is more tradeable for the Bucks than Gadz is. Though most of the teams right now that are trading are going to be looking for expiring contracts and the only expiring contracts the Bucks have that could get anything in value in return would be Sessions and CV.
  9. Why would the Padres do that? The Padres would want players they can control for a long period of time and Hart doesn't fall under that criteria.
  10. With Sasha Pavlovic going down for the Cavs maybe the Bucks can trade Jefferson to the Cavs for Wally Szczerbiak. Not someone I would want for RJ but it does get the Bucks out of his contract and frees up some salary cap room for next year to sign Sessions. The Bucks really need to get rid of Gadz though that contract is just a killer.
  11. I believe Hardy is both overrated and underrated. Hardy's offense is underrated and his defense is somewhat overrated.
  12. The Cavs were also going after Redd really hard that year. I wonder if Cuban will be looking for a trade this deadline and if the Bucks could get Josh Howard and Jerry Stackhouse for Charlie Villanueva and Richard Jefferson. Howard wants an extension and it doesn't look like the Mavericks are going to be giving it to him. Stackhouse is a bad contract and after next year he would be off the books the same with Howard. Not really a fair trade but the Mavs do get Jefferson who is someone that Kidd would probably like to have.
  13. This would be true if this was the beginning of the 2008 season. But sadly it is not and right now the best the Brewers could get for Hart is Niemann.
  14. The only way the players union will allow for the changes to be made to the drafting process is for the compensation picks that are tied to free agents to be dropped.
  15. The only way the players union will allow for the changes to be made to the drafting process is for the compensation picks that are tied to free agents to be dropped.
  16. I believe players should be associated with a city more so than a franchise. That doesn't mean that a franchise can't retire a number or have them in their hall of fame. Matthews, Spahn, Hank, and others are probably more known with their time with the Milwaukee Braves. More people will remember them as Milwaukee Braves. To me it doesn't really matter if they played in Milwaukee and for a significant amount of time then they should or could have their numbers retired or be apart of the teams hall of fame. I wonder what peoples reactions would be if next year you see Joe Torre as a member of the Milwaukee hall of fame. I don't even consider it as the Brewers hall of fame it really is the cities heroes more so than the teams. To me it is something so small and it doesn't even really matter to me at all.
  17. Wolf would be an alright option. Not the greatest option but still a solid #3 or #4 pitcher. Suppan is not a replacement level pitcher either. Look I'm not a big Suppan fan but he is a legitimate #4 or #5 pitcher his stats prove that. Compare them to other teams #4 and #5 pitchers and you will see that. Suppan is just over paid for what he is.
  18. The only thing I really liked from MLB 2K8 last year was the ability to use the right analog stick to throw to the bases.
  19. Should be no more than an expensive minor league contract.
  20. There is always ebay.
  21. It was in a report earlier in the year that Melvin said that he had contacted Towers and that the Brewers did not have the players that the Brewers were willing to give up. I believe it is somewhere in this thread actually and there is a link where Melvin talks about him not willing to give up Parra or Jeffress.
  22. The only bug I ever had in MLB 08 The Show was that after I would hit a home run another runner would be added onto the bases randomly. I don't know why this would happen but it would one game I had back to back home runs with Braun and Prince. I looked at the score and it went from a 0-0 game to a 3-0 game. In the replay it showed Sheets at 2B with Prince hitting the home run. That was a rather annoying little bug.
  23. I wonder how many times this will have to be repeated. Melvin and Mark A are not in the drivers seat here. Peavy still has yet to relax on his trade demands. I doubt the Brewers are on his list of teams that he would want to be traded to. Melvin did contact the Padres GM about Peavy awhile back. Melvin said that the Padres wanted Jeffress and others for Peavy. Melvin also said that the Brewers do not have the prospects that the Padres were looking for at the time. Which is correct the Padres are looking for pitching prospects and the Brewers are short on those. I wouldn't trade both Escobar and Jeffress to the Padres for Peavy even though we are getting Peavy for a long time. If it was an Escobar, Periard, Gillespie, and a PTBNL then I would do it but if it takes both Escobar and Jeffress to get the deal done it is just not worth it for the Brewers.
  24. Newegg Operating systems. The OEM products just come with the CD and the key. Tiger Direct Windows XP. Fry's Operating systems. These three sites are where I shop for computer parts and other things. I love Newegg and their customer support is one of the best around. They also ship very quickly. I would get the OEM one unless you really want that box and the manual and the directions of how to install Windows XP on your computer.
  25. Metal Gear Solid is a 3rd person/FPS game if you don't already have that game, Tomb Raider is also a 3rd Person/FPS game, Heavenly Sword which can probably be picked up for about $20 used is a good action game also if you don't have it already.
