    Ashby looked shaky to start the inning. Way too much of the plate with his pitches. He dialed it in after the Bogaerts AB.

    Frelick watches the first pitch he could hit and then swings at a pitch he can roll over and ground out again. Why is Frelick on the team again?

    Henderson is absolutely sucking today with his command. So many non competitive pitches.

    Getting way too much of the strike zone with everything even the fastballs. That is not going to get it done.

    Defense yes they are really good. Not top 10 defenses good but in the top 50 for sure. QB is still a question mark. Joseph looks better when he is moving around. If he has to stay in the pocket he is bad. The WR’s are really good. RB looks adequate right now. The OL looks improved. Probably the best OL the Badgers have had since 2018 or 2019.

    Bregman is like a Yelich/Braun just a guy in the clubhouse. They don't bring the clubhouse down but also not the leader of the clubhouse. Dansby is the same as Bregman. He isn't going to kill a clubhouse just not a leader of the clubhouse.

    I think Counsell is best when he has a Lorenzo Cain or a Willy Adames on the team. Those players control the clubhouse while Counsell handles everything else. The Cubs don’t have a Cain or Adames to lead the clubhouse.

    2028 is Counsell’s final year on his current contract. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is let go after the 2027 season if the Cubs don’t make it past the wild card round.

    The Padres give the Cubs some life after the bottom of the 6th and the Cubs just waste it. Counsell looks defeated in the dugout and the team looks defeated on the field.

    The Athletic writers have the Brewers winning the NL and the Rays winning in the AL. A Brewers and Rays World Series would be fun!     A 5th round pick isn’t worth all that much. The Giants also need another QB as their starter is now out for the season I believe. Their backup is absolutely awful and has no upside. With McCarthy you could still say there is some upside with him even if that upside is extremely limited. The better question is was there a better QB available that would have cost around a 5th round pick. In FA there isn’t much to choose from. I’m not sure Jimmy Garoppolo would have been a better choice.

    Have to say the WR's look to be the best they have had in a long time at least production wise. Tyrell Henry looks like everything is clicking for him finally. Hilton looks like he has taken that next step and Brooks also looks like he belongs as a WR. Coleman also looks decent at times. Coleman is the hard one to figure out of the group. He has all the talent and size that you would want for a NFL WR but he hasn't put it together on the field yet.

    Subtract the INT's and the Badgers maybe winning this game.
