  1. Weeks has always had his little hot streaks where people talk about him finally realizing his potential. And then he goes back into triple A mode. We have a 56 game pennant race. We can't afford the highly inconsistent Weeks.
  2. Agreed. If there is an argument at first base tonight it could take Lou 2-3 minutes to get out there and and do his drama queen schtick.
  3. Lou is an overrated blowhard.
  4. Yeah he seems to be doing alright. Mota though was getting hit hard. I'll feel a lot better if/when he gets DFA.
  5. Whoever thought doing the pregame from the Dells was a good idea should be fired. Not to mention the in-game cut-ins which relegated the actual game to a corner of the screen.
  6. Uecker is great at filling time and there is certainly a lot of ddead time in baseball. And that was especially welcome during all of the bad years of Brewers baseball. But as an actual play by play guy he's not that good at all. As stated in this thread he rarely gives the score, he rarely will tell you what a batter has done in his previous at bats. He's too busy with his amusing anecdotes. He's a funny guy but that doesn't make him a good baseball radio guy.
  7. Fortunately Bush gets a start against Houston to tune up for the Cubs start.
  8. Cards fans seem more upset about untucking our uniforms after the win. They seem to think we just started doing it this past series.
  9. Those who can't get tickets for this homestand can always go watch the Rams practice in Mequon.
  10. Yeah, if you are going to push him back to 6 days (Sunday), you might as well make it 7 days and have your 4 best hurlers going in a key series.
  11. I was at our house virtually every day when it was being built. I never stayed very long and didn't bug the workers but it was fun watching the progress.
  12. Apparently not after the game last night. In reading the game story and notes from the St. Louis paper they talked a lot about the umpiring in the 4th inning and Franklin talked about how he threw the ball well "except for one bad pitch".
  13. I miss his 8 second sprints to first base on ground balls.
  14. One day Ted Williams will be thawed out so we can ask him what he thinks. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  15. That's because you're a Brewer fan. And Cards fans should be upset about their bullpen or an offense that scored exactly one run after the 4th inning in 4 games, not about what Braun did for a couple of seconds.
  16. I can't believe some really feel he was "showing up" the Cards.
  17. Sweeping a 4 game series which included 3 last inning home runs is the ammo. If the additional few seconds of "posing" upsets them as well so be it. As I mentioned in an earlier post, the St. Louis paper didn't mention it at all in their coverage of last nights game. The Cards have more important things to worry about.
  18. Yeah I didn't get the whole "this game is over" attitude after Braun's HR. The Arizona 9th inning meltdown wasn't that long ago.

  24. Those who say this never happpened in past eras have selective memories. Players from the beginning of baseball have done what Braun has done from time to time. There just wasn't Sportscenter and Baseball Tonight and the Internet for everyone to see it over and over.
