  1. I love parking in preferred for that reason. I always sit in field level box and I can stay for the entire game, and be in my car and on 94 before most people get to their car. If I'm in a group of friends that wants to hang around for awhile after the game I'll park in regular parking but usually it's my son and I so it's great to get out so quick.

  3. They could leave Telly off of HD, I'd be fine with that. They could turn his mic off too while they're at it.
  4. Monday and Tuesday vs. the Pirates are not in HD here but are in HD in Pittsburgh. Both FSN.
  5. When FSN-WI was on MySpace last year, Trenni would answer all emails sent there. Now that she's gone it looks like they use Facebook but don't really communicate with anyone. It's odd that they would use Facebook and not a real website. In any event FSN production is like a high school A/V club. If that.
  6. Here is something I don't understand. Both Friday and Saturdays games were in HD, great. Todays game is not. But Houstons broadcast (also an FSN channel) IS in HD. So the equipment is there. Why would one FSN channel have it in HD and the other not in HD, it's odd.
  7. $148 is pretty damn cheap instead instead of driving about 6 hours.
  8. Yeah I think that's the Hilton. The Westin is right there too but on the other side of the stadium. Thinking about taking my son (14) on a mini road trip. Leave early Friday morning, take in the Friday and Saturday games and then head back.
  9. Which hotel are the Brewers at in St. Louis?
  10. It's not blacked out because there is no local broadcast. ESPN is the only broadcast.
  11. For the three years 2006-2008, Hart batting second hit.348/.385 and Hardy batting 5th was .347/.389. What exactly didn't work about that?
  12. Along with no HD FSN production is as bad/worse than last year. No pitch speeds for the whole game, poor camera angles/late switching to the right camera on balls put in play, Brewers score a run, they subtract two from the score (this happened more than once and also to the Giants score), slow/inaccurate pitch counts. Not to mention Davey and Telly. It would be a lot easier to put up with all that crap if at least we had an HD picture.
  13. That's because Suppan's autograph is worth $1.25 http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  14. Brauns stuff is really the only stuff that has good resale value. Fielder a little bit but he has such a crappy sig.
  15. Yeah Uecker isn't a very personable guy with the public. It's not like he does a bunch of signings a year. He doesn't do any. So for the one time he signs for BREWER fans he should at least make eye contact.
  16. Come on, the whole Canada thing was a joke. To get mad that Rickie said he hadn't been to Canada is bizarre. Did it make you mad that Doug Melvin was listed as Canada's most popular baseball player even though he obviously isn't? Geez.
  17. They had several video cameras there so I would imagine it will be shown on TV or maybe made into a DVD.
  18. Here is a recap of the event at the Riverside last night. I probably missed a few things, The show went about 2 1/2 hours. Started out with highlights from the 2008 season. Uecker came out and did a monologue. Very funny. Many jokes had been heard before but still funny. They had a talk show type set, desk, couch, etc... First out was Attanasio. Uecker interviewed him for 5-10 minutes. Nothing newsworthy. First two players out were Yo and Manny. Ueck talked with them about 10 minutes. Nothing very interesting. Uecker leaves. Out come Brian Anderson and Davey Nelson. Davey is always good for some flubs. They do a roundtable with Melvin, Macha and Willie Randolph. They took a few questions from the crowd. Someone asks Melvin what his backup plan was for losing CC. Melvin said he tried out Mark Tauscher but he couldn't throw a slider and his changeup sucked. Comedian Fred Klett comes out (who?). VERY FUNNY. Mixed in Brewers/baseball jokes with regular jokes. He's originally from Milwaukee, opened for Seinfeld. He said shortly after the Brewers called to book him for tonight the Yankees called and offered him $161 million to do their winter warmup instead but he turned them down. Next up is the "Dating Game" with J.J. Hardy. Fred Klett is the MC. Before they start he tells J.J. that it isn't fair that he makes so much money AND is good looking. He says for every million JJ makes they should put a scar on his face. Dating game is pretty funny. Four hot chicks. J.J. asks a couple of somewhat funny questions. But Klett keeps things hilarious with his comments. Intermission. Klett does some more jokes. Davey does a brief interview with Prince. Davey: "Did it feel good to sign that new contract"? Prince: "Hell yeah". I've heard reports that Prince has lost some weight. Couldn't really tell. Baggy shirt. Next is a Family Feud show hosted by Bill Schroeder. Canadians vs. Americans. For the Canadians it's Melvin, Gord Ash, Taylor Green and Rickie Weeks. For the Americans it's Suppan, Hart, Cameron and Dave Bush. Since there weren't enough Canadians they threw Weeks on the Canadian team. Bill asks him if he's ever been to Canada or ever wants to go to Canada. Weeks says no to both. So Melvin trades him to the other team for Dave Bush since Bush pitched in Canada. American team wins in a shut out. Gord Ash is clueless. Name something you put cheese on. Ash: "Hot Dog". Cameron is great, showing the most enthusiasm of any player. They showed the top plays of 2008 and fans voted. Brauns walkoff homerun vs. Pittsburgh wins over Kaplers catch in Los Angeles. Uecker is back and out comes Braun. Easily the largest ovation. Uecker and Braun talk for about 10 minutes. Then it's time to close the show and of course you need the closer so out comes Trevor. All dressed up in a suit. The rest of the guys had dress pants and untucked dress shirts (except Cameron in jeans). But Trevor has a suit on. He said it was Cameron who convinced him that Milwaukee was a great place to play and a fun place to play. At that point all of the players come out for a final bow. Cameron goes up to Hoffman and untucks his shirt.
  19. I'm going to both. The Winter Warmup Friday night sounds cool, we'll see. It says on the ticket that no photography is permitted but I'm going to try to take some anyway.
  20. Brauns deal with Bob Mikita runs another year, he's not suppose to sign sweet spot but sometimes he does anyway. The other guys have various deals but most don't sign the sweet spot unless they are getting paid (the money collected at this event does not go to the players).
  21. Actually MLB Network is broadcasting a weekly THURSDAY night game, that's it. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/a...ws_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb
  22. He has to. Or we have to offer him back to TB for $25K
  23. This is the disadvantage to have an ownership group instead of one owner. While we can all criticize Herb Kohl for the moves he's made over the years, he's been willing to take annual losses knowing he will recoup that, and more, whenever he does sell the team. Mark has made it clear in the past that the Brewers ownership group wants a return on their investment every year. They are not willing to wait until they sell to make their cash (although they will make money then too). Not every sole owner of a team is a good owner of course. But most of them own teams because they love the sport and because of the vanity of owning a professional team. They don't need to make money every year. But before we criticize Mark and Doug and give up on 2009, let's wait and see how the offseason plays out. It's really just started.
  24. 1250 finally gave Cliff the boot, thank God. Both stations have their ups and downs. A couple of days ago Homer and a caller were debating whether to bring Branyan back, both obvlivious to the fact he has signed with Seattle.
