First of all, Bills fans do a LOT of really stupid, really dangerous crap in the pre-games. Guys are regularly going to the hospital and they have to spend quite a bit on security for the parking lots. But second, and most importantly....why NOT do this if you're the Bills? The fans are going to pay for it. I doubt they have any drop off in attendance and if they have fewer people tailgating, they probably won't be too upset given how obnoxious they are. I get the idea, it sucks that they keep trying to take more money from the fans, but that's corporate America. The biggest corporations pay very little in taxes, CEO's break the law and the company gets fined 500 million and he gets a 250 million dollar bonus on his way out because they still made a few billion on the deal. Just the way of the world. Look, it’d be different if the Bills we’re enjoying sustained success. The Packers have further monetized their parking lot by adding VIP areas at the expense of the little guy who just wanted to park nearby for $25. That’s business. I get it. The Bills have been awful for 20 years, but their most loyal fans have still found a way to make game day fun on their own (while still paying full price for a bad product). If they need more security on game day, just raise the parking prices.
