Can Moustakas play 2b? With his size, it makes more sense to me than Shaw playing there.

Mous for Phillips and Jorge Lopez. Don’t like it at all. Phillips should have been a part of a deal for something besides a rental at a position we don’t need to improve. Shaw at 2b makes no sense. Weird move.

If the marlins would take a couple low level prospects and get the marlins to eat a couple million we should. I’d rather get him than Dozier. After this year it’s a 13m commitment for next year (including his buyout for 2020).

Hanging a 2008 Wild Card banner is akin to the Bucks hanging their hats on all the 6-8 seeds they've accumulated. 6-8 seeds in the nba playoffs are often teams with a sub .500 record so I don’t exactly agree. Much easier to make the playoffs in the nba.

What do we give and who’s spot on the roster does he take? We are already so deep in the outfield and I wouldn’t trade Santana for a rental.

Not that I want this AT ALL, but could you imagine the haul we could get if we traded Hader? He’s an absolute savage and shut down relievers are in such high demand nowadays.

I talked to lawrie for like 15 minutes before a game when the trats came through Beloit. He was extremely cool. Not a d-bag at all. Yes, he was a total frat-boy-bro and his temper is well documented but people deserve another shot. He has talent and I kinda hope it’s him.

This dude is annoying. He gives tickets he doesn’t use to veterans and that’s commendable but he makes sure everyone knows he does it too. He’s an attention whore.
  9. Kelbysdaddy
I’d take him over drake any day.
  10. Kelbysdaddy
Now that this show has dropped, Cobb should be accepting 3 year deal for 42-45 from us any day now. Wrap it up!!!!

I think the pack crushed it with this trade. Kizer is/can be far better than Hundley. He showed flashes last year in a god awful situation. He just needs to be developed.

Kopech was traded to the White Sox in the Chris sale deal. They don’t really need a top shelf closer anyway since they are rebuilding at this time.

That’s a huge problem I see with arbitration. You literally have a team telling a , in this case, star player that he’s not as good as he says he is while also telling him they see him as a big part of the teams future. I understand it’s business and they are all professionals but I can definitely see how there would be some hard feelings.

What would we have to give along with Santana to get walker? Santana has one more year of team control. I’d love to see him in Milwaukee.
  15. Kelbysdaddy
Just saw Brinson and Diaz. I like Diaz but I’m not as huge on him as many are. We’ll have to see if there’s more parts moving.
  16. Kelbysdaddy
I assume Brinson will be gone. Hiura, Burnes, Erceg, and Harrison are the guys I’d prefer to keep most. I wouldn’t expect a second mlb ready OF to also be in the trade so that would make Maverick safe. Since Castro wants out, take on him and include villar but wouldn’t add anything as far as prospects for him.
  17. Kelbysdaddy
I would be furious if we gave that much for Castellanos. Gatewood and Bickford SHOULD be enough (maybe Bickford alone). He isn’t very good and we have no need for him AT ALL.
  18. Kelbysdaddy
Great job! I may be jumping the gun a bit, but I fully expect to see a huge year from Lutz. Don’t be surprised to see him all over top 100 lists this time next year.
  19. Kelbysdaddy
I think if he gets us a Gerrit Cole or Chris archer, while making it so we don’t have to trade Brinson, Phillips, or Hader, yeah I’d be ok with trading him.
  20. Kelbysdaddy
Cole is a jerk. I’d really hate to have to cheer for him. Quality pitcher though.
  21. Kelbysdaddy
Am I the only one that’s kinda sick of hearing “we should move (random outfielder) to first base?
  22. Kelbysdaddy
The giants would almost have to give more for Santana than Stanton, prospect wise. I’d try to push Braxton in a trade with them. Their farm is dismal at best.
  23. Kelbysdaddy
I’m guessing Seattle’s front office thought their meeting went VERY well. Any chance he’s just looking to flip Dee and keeps a portion of the contract to try and get better prospects than he gave? I’m very surprised they gave as much as they did to take him in the first place. Btw, I think Ponce is a good pitcher and has a decent chance to make the majors and I would have given him up for Dee.
  24. Kelbysdaddy
Frankly, don’t see any reason to worry about protecting Nottingham. Stashing a guy in the bullpen is one thing, stashing a back up catchers back up is a loss of a valuable bench spot.

I have Braun all star jerseys from 2009 and 2010 that I usually wear to games. I also have Yount and Sheffield powder blues I wear from time to time.
