  1. Even if Braun is hitting it hard and not getting on, I still feel like most of the time he goes up there he's working a count and takes effort to get out. He's a ball player and they all get up there and hack from time to time, but it sure feels like he is a lot harder to get out than Aguilar who feels like watching a looped GIF.
  2. Game 1 of NLDS I used that fan misconduct text thing for the first time in my life. There was a guy that came into 110 where I was sitting and took an "empty" seat that belonged to guy going to the bathroom. He sat right next to his wife and she shrugged. He came back, he gets up, does it to some other lady, she does the same thing, just lets him do it. I couldn't believe that. He continually did that 7-8 times, getting up every 45 seconds. If you just sit in one empty seat, whatever. Doing it over and over again annoyed the hell out of me. To their credit, the Brewers had someone there within 60 seconds of my text, by then he had a seat no one had sat in all game. He did the "I threw away my ticket, this is my seat!" and they weren't having it. It was oddly satisfying watching him get tossed.
  3. Well the 44% thing shouldn't be all that surprising. Every series that goes to 6 games is 3-2. It is as close as it can be. It just feels worse when it starts 2-1 in your favor.
  4. Oddly I have less tension, and have felt that way since Game 5 began. Lower expectations etc. I've made peace with losing this game and since I went with "lose NLCS" in the preseason predictions thread it is hard to be too upset. Small markets must seize opportunities, but I feel confident they will compete in a few of the next five seasons. Overtaking the Cubs and getting to this point were great moments. It was an awesome year, hopefully they have a few more moments in them. Around 11 pm I am either fondly recalling the season or getting ready for round 2.
  5. I can't stand that person. It's my second least favorite type of fan, well maybe third. First is guy that can't stop changing seats and is asked to get out of someone else's 10 times. Second the drunk screamer, third that guy, "obligatory pump-up man."
  6. Ooh boy. That post will ruffle some feathers. Morally, people stand all over the place on reselling tickets. I think it's fine, but they didn't promise us presales. I see no issue with what they did ethically. A bit annoying, but the Brewers could list World Series tickets at almost any price point and sell out. They price them the way they do so joe blow has a chance. Reselling hurts that and I think they're within their rights to stop it. I don't think being a long term ticket holder gives you the right to scalp. You have the right to sell a possession at the price someone will pay. But if they decide they don't like that and block you from buying in the first place? Fair game.
  7. Yeah, this is all really accurate. Mine always sell immediately after wins.
  8. Baseball is a funny game. Things can go 180 degrees in a day. Nothing to do but enjoy another day and hope they figure something out. They hit this guy last time. They can do it again.
  9. Man, I just really don't want the season to end tomorrow.
  10. Idk what he means, but my dad is 70, grew up on the Braves, and loves baseball, but it is tough for him to stay up as late as these games go, or sit around for 4 hours watching TV. It can be a big commitment. I myself am getting fatigued. I can't imagine doing the NBA playoffs or something through every round.
  11. The strips are always same level, but not the same seats, as that would be impossible. If I had a 20 pack, I share those seats with other 20 pack holders. We can't all get the same playoff seats. But a better example is that my seats were right behind the plate all year. At playoff time they shifted down the first base line, and shifted far. Yet I can buy seats behind the plate at the presale. That confuses me. It also normal to be many rows back in the postseason with your strip.
  12. The reward is another chance to win a game to go to the World Series. Brewers fans are babies. "We might lose, so there isn't excitement." Are you all kidding me? I get the tension, it'll suck if they lose, but to say people aren't excited is crazy talk to me. If the Brewers can get a few early runs (and yes, I realize this is a big IF with this offense the way they're swinging it), then there will be plenty of excitement. You're preaching to the choir. People on this forum aren't saying that about themselves, they are saying that about the casual fan - and its true. Let's settle down here. If you had tickets to both games and it is a full-day event, Game 6 looks pretty lame stacked up against clinching the pennant. Turns out, I am going to both should Game 7 occur, but is pretty easy to see why someone would unload 6 and hold out for 7. Personally, these games are all-day events, usually involves LOTS of traffic, picking up my dad, and being stuck in the lot for 45 minutes after. The last two night games I got home at 2am. On a clear day I am an hour from the park. My kids are all under 6, so I have put a lot of pressure on my wife for the last three weeks, bless her soul. There are lot of reasons not to go besides "being a baby." I'm really getting tired of "true fan" lines in the sand. It is getting old. Attending the game is more than a 20 minute trip in the car for a lot of people and all that hassle is easier to stomach for a Game 7 than a Game 6.
  13. Perhaps. But with an event like the WS the Brewers know there will no shortage of buyers, so they can basically do whatever they want. I agree with you though, even more so when the TIME and sometimes the DATE of the game isn't known when you buy it.
  14. At this point I'm a little concerned this will carry a penalty for future seasons. I wouldn't dare resell a thing after this mess, but I hope they just leave it at that.
  15. I just sent an email requesting parking for Friday and Saturday and was answered within minutes so yeah, guessing they are ignoring you outright.
  16. Offense really fell off a cliff when it went out to LA. Maybe this is all they need.
  17. Yeah, it stinks. But I am sure it's all hands on deck right now with World Series stuff. And lots of people who are higher on the totem pole than you. No offense, I'm at the bottom of that pole.
  18. Well that be incredibly stupid because I forwarded a lot of tickets to siblings, my dad and friends who paid me face value for them.
  19. Just using this thread alone, basically everyone locked out resold at least a game on Stubhub. I don't know how else the Brewers would even know if you did. They are partners, and the Brewers know when you re-sell a ticket there, even if you do it directly through SH. When I logged into my ticket account at different times of the postseason, I was able to see notated on Brewers.com that I had a certain ticket "pending Stubhub resale." They are joined at the hip. I don't see any other way the Brewers would even know if you re-sold.
  20. I think that gets tricky with customers who have expensive seats. They want their same seats or one really close for the playoffs, and I think that is fair. It gets complicated and costly for them to have 12 different presales for different groups of fans, i.e. "terrace sale this day, loge this day." I would have preferred picking select games and seats. I like to take it from different areas of the park and I would not have bought every game. But I don't know which games I'll attend and skip ahead of time. They tell me the only way to have full choices at discount pricing is to buy a strip, so I did. But they never said, "Well, if you don't go, we will penalize you for reselling." I think that is lame. I don't care too much because I'll be int he door regardless, but the communications has been bad on many fronts and I chalk that up to lack of experience being in this position.
  21. Can't argue it is a little backwards that their own ticket account site has Stubhub plastered all over it but then if you use it you are punished, Lol.
  22. Guessing they have analytics that determine it is not worth the cost/benefit to offer WS opportunity to 10-pack, there is probably not enough in it for them given how low those packages start. I do not recall any advance warning of this, however, it is pretty obvious they don't like it with the whole barcode gymnastics thing they seem hell bent on doing. I think anyone that resells at profit knows the Brewers don't like it, so they can do what they want. I think the trick is that they are very transparent in telling you the strip is your guarantee for seats. The pre-sales are subject to change. No guarantee there.
  23. Sounds like a mess. No plan. Probably caved early on for the first few complaints and then realized that was not going to work. I get why they did it, but it probably should have been stated upfront that you'd risk losing presale access if you resold.
  24. At this point I wouldn't worry too much, there is a good amount of time between now and another sale. Anything exclusive is gone, and they probably have their hands full. Eventually they will reply and get you a code.
