  1. Team is 15 games over, part of which is due to Counsell seemingly having magic hands with the bullpen and we still have to make comments about how dumb he is. We will truly never be happy with the manager until they go 162-0.
  2. Don't think Shaw makes it with Bryant, Villanueva, Arenado and Longoria in the mix and a couple of those teams probably only getting 1 rep. I'd guess Cain makes it over Yelich if either one of them does, but even that isn't a sure thing. I think we get two and the Brewer community is outraged. Hader is the lock, I'll guess Cain makes it too. Maybe we push a third in with the final 5 vote.
  3. There's zero chance Hader is left off the roster.
  4. I mean he basically did give up the tying run without that knockdown. I very much doubt that ball was going to the outfield. Didn't even look like it was hit hard. Think you gotta watch that again because that ball was headed right to the OF.
  5. That's a big W. We've sure had a lot of them. That game and series feels like an important hump to get over.
  6. 4 strikeouts in 1.2 innings despite a minuscule zone isn't good? His 9th was getting pretty sloppy and the last AB he was looking gassed.
  7. I actually think I like this. Hader's looking gassed. Bring in Knebel to get one out, should be fresh and motivated. Could be just what he needs.
  8. This is such a typical game with St. Louis. Wheels are jiggling loose right now.
  9. Would've been nice to get a base hit with the bases loaded before Jeffress ended his streak.
  10. I've never been a big Davies fan. I just find him unreliable and my based on nothing philosophy is that you can be a diminutive pitcher or a soft tossing pitcher but not both.
  11. I wouldn't go that far, but he should really be a 7th inning guy right now. I would because there are lots of options performing better. If the bullpen wasn't the best in the majors I'd agree, but the group is too good to allow this to close games.
  12. Time to go back the Knebel is hurt bullpen. For right now he needs to be working in games we're winning 17-6, not these. Jeffress should have finished this. I don't think Knebel is finished or anything, but he has to work through this in another role.
  13. Something has been off with Knebel all season. The question is how long do we let it drag on? Another season this would sound reactionary but the pen is too good to let him figure it out. He's played his way out of closer. Hader can't be moved but Jeffress is pitching like a closer.
  14. Kratz has been playing well in AAA. My best guess is they're hoping to get a replacement level player with a hot bat to buy some time. They knew Bandy couldn't do it. I don't expect Arcia to begone super long.
  15. Too many 100%. I don't think it's impossible that someone big like Cobb or Matthews is cut in camp. Not likely, but I don't think either of those guys for example are 100%. Lance Kendricks definitely isn't anymore. Nobody likes drafting a punter but I don't think people understand just how rare of a talent JK Scott is. Some punters struggle to adapt to the NFL speed but if he does this could be an all-time great type who plays for 20 years. The guy is a total freak of nature and his accuracy and power are unprecedented at the best football program in the NCAA. Vogel was competent, but I think they saw a chance to get a really special punter.
  16. I would genuinely love to have Maldanado right now, that said I don't think Kratz is going to play for the Brewers.
  17. Such an odd statement that I can't let it go without asking for clarification. What are you basing this on? The Packers' historical bad luck with FA TE's? Graham has played in 15 or 16 of 16 games in all but one of his eight seasons so far. People also seem to be forgetting that, despite a down year last year, Lance Kendricks has been a solid, dependable TE throughout his career. Kendricks is just a guy. He's veteran depth but if he's starting at TE at this point in his career the Packers are in trouble. He's fine in the role they now have him playing, if he even makes the final roster.
