    She is one of the best in the business - in a field that gets a lot of flack for being useless, she makes the effort and makes it as relevant as possible. Smart and talented.

    ^I think everyone is in the same boat. The expectations have lowered significantly from just 3 weeks ago, where it looked like a sleeper contender to now where the 6/7th seed feels about right, they are more Rams and less Lions. That said, I don't care, it's a GT about this game, I am of the belief the Packers need a veteran WR this offseason - Chase, Moore, whoever, also irrelevant. They aren't on the team. The Packers need more out of Doubs or Reed to have a chance. That's all I was saying. The passing offense is broken. It's about time for MLF to do some of this scheming I hear he's so good at. Benching Reed for a fumble isn't the answer this week, even if it the answer next year.

    He was tracking for a big season in the first part of the year though and is clearly a good player. I would think an offensive guru HC would be able to gameplan his best players open. Given how much time the rest of the guys have missed, something seems amiss with what Reed has done this year. I don't know enough if it's him not getting open, poor play selection, Love, I don't know. What is obvious is that they need more from him, particularly with Watson gone. I guess some of us are going to just spleen vent that he "sucks", I don't think he does suck and I don't really care about one stupid fumble. His lack of involvement in the offense predates the Bears game. The entire passing game is just out of whack lately too. I personally get exhausted just throwing every player under the bus constantly and the ridiculous exaggerations about how bad everybody is. It's like watching the games with my brother who is the same constant negativity stream. It's hilarious because I am definitely pessimistic by nature, but some of these takes just make me genuinely wonder if people actually enjoy watching sports ever.

    And the point is this: Unless Ja'marr Chase is suiting up for the Packers this weekend, this doesn't really matter, now does it? He's who they have. He's their best WR. They will need him to perform to pull off an upset. Yeesh. Didn't know that was going to be such a trigger.

    OK - but what are you suggesting? They bench him? Not throw to him? Not sure what your point is here. Fumbles are pretty random events - they more or less happen. They are much less indictive statistically of anything compared to an interception for example, which tend to be less random. A random fumble in a loss where the Packers would still be a 7 seed had they won, in a game where they benched a bunch of guys is a very odd hill to die on. It's much more of a concern that their best WR has 200 yards since October and has barely been thrown to.

    He has one career fumble. Their best receiver needs to be part of their offense. It's actually shocking he didn't hit 1,000 yards with the first half he had. They don't have the liberty of shunning their best players even if he fumbled five times this season.

    Take out the Saints game and Jayden Reed has barely over 100 yards in the 2nd half of the season. They should have fixed this about 4 weeks ago. They will need him to reappear to have any chance in this game. That's inexcusable for a supposed offensive guru.

    It looks bad. It's a better team, we limped in, we're hurt. But for all their warts, the Packers MO just usually isn't getting blown out. Logically, this game shouldn't be very competitive, I think there's at least a 2-score separation, but it always seems to be more dramatic than it needs to be.

    Has all the makings of a game where no one gives the Packers a chance, they come out and play well, cling to a 3-point lead the entire time and blow it in the 4th in some hysterical way.

    Watson will go down as one of the biggest "what ifs" for me. He was a remarkable athlete and had crazy size for a guy who ran that well. His first couple games his first season, just watching him sprint, he looked like he was another level than everybody on the field. He just couldn't ever string things together and stay healthy enough. Prior to this ACL thing I just started to accept he was never going to be able to stay on the field. Sad end, he could have been a great player.

    I get what they were thinking. Probably thought the entire play would take a bit too long to get another snap off, so they had everyone sit back thinking they'd run around a little bit even if they caught the ball. The second worst thing about that play was that the man coverage was close enough that the tackle was made immediately. Didn't look like the WR was intent on surrendering himself, so if he'd run another 5 yards, the game is over. It's an idiotic defensive play call no less, and what I haven't seen anyone bring up is that they did the SAME THING against Minnesota. Completely white flagged a FG attempt to end the first half and defended against only a TD for some reason. I've seen this so often where NFL HCs exaggerate how long it takes to run a play in these situations.

    Detroit will win the NFC.

    Lions aren't out of the water here but it feels like every good title run has a gut check where you have to overcome some things and it sure looks like they've managed to figure something out defensively. I am pulling for the Vikes but this would be impressive.

    Willis is a 25-year-old former 3rd round pick whose prior stop was in Dumpsterville. In a much better situation, he has looked pretty good. I don't think you can definitively say he's "just a backup." I don't know where he'll go from here, but he just hasn't shown any drop off when Love leave games, this season anyway.

    I am not sure what the separation between Love and Willis really is this season, based on what we have seen. I would for sure take Love in the long term, I think, but this year they have looked awfully similar. That, combined with the Packers not looking so great when the starters were in, and that both games ended in a FG attempt...I am saying that I don't really think it's a safe assumption. Bears played like they really wanted to win this game. So did Dallas. But it never stops anyone from making these locked in guarantees.

    Cowboys lost so didn't cost GB anything other than dignity, lol. Two weeks ago I liked us as a sleeper for a run. I am looking at us now as much more of the "we made the playoff this year!" variety.

    They were 3-6 though at one point. And 6-8. I think most people hoped they would ride the wave of the last month of the season and playoffs into this one. They look like about the same team from the end of last season, not much better. And the reason for a lot of last season's struggles were any time Aaron Jones was out. Was this a realistic expectation? Maybe not, but I think that was the dream. Love has suffered from being better than people thought he would be faster than they had expected. So the lumps that come with development and starting haven't been as permissible. I think he is fine, I think the team is fine. Just not as good as we all had dreamed. Love probably played this season the way people thought he would play last season in the best case scenario.

    That is about what they are. The offense is really good. That's another 12ish win team without some of the injuries they've had this year. Plus Baker is that prototype kind of journeyman almost great not never quite great QB that throws for 500 yards on the Packers.

    To me, makes GB slipping to 7 even less important because I would have liked going to LA but not really going to Tampa. I don't think that offense is a good matchup for GB and I just don't like the Packers playing in Florida. I also think McVay wants to play indoors as often as possible. They are well documented hating the cold/elements. If they drop to 4 and win, they stay indoors with Minn/Det in the 2nd round - assuming 6 and 7 also lose which is fairly safe.

    Last I checked Gary had a 3% win rate on pass rushes which was down from the teens his previous two seasons, but it was a long time ago I looked at it. I don't think PFF is the bible some people think it is but Gary should not be in the Pro Bowl. He was average this season. Jacobs and McKinney are fine. Maybe an offensive lineman based on the season Jacobs had and the protection Love enjoyed, but OL get in on name recognition and we don't have it.
