    They are at like a 97% probability. Home wins against the Bears and Saints would guarantee 11-6. That will make the playoffs.

    Idk, I feel like the Packers winning out isn't really unlikely, or rather not that far fetched, if they think there is a reason to do so. I don't think Detroit will lose 3 games. It would realistically mean 0-3 against all of BUF, GB, MN. The other two are white flagging.

    Exactly. It is pretty meaningless. I usually don't say things like this but I don't see a major benefit to the Packers winning this game. It's not a game where I'd want to unleash my most creative designs even though I'm sure that's not how MLF feels. They need the Lions to lose 3 times to win the division - that's not going to happen. I don't think passing Minnesota matters at all, it could actually end up worse because the 4 seed could be a better team in a more hostile environment than the 3 seed. The Packers are kinda locked into the 6 already barring a total collapse. I am more interested in Love just playing well down the stretch. That's what I'm hoping to see tonight. I'd be fine letting Detroit ride high into the playoffs. I am embracing our road warrior playoff path. I think the most likely outcome is the Packers are eliminated at the same stage they were last season, but the conference is just much better than it was. That likely would mean playing Detroit in the Divisional and if I were MLF I'd save the rabbits for then. It would be fun to avenge both Detroit and Philly en route to the Super Bowl - I can dream about it anyway.

    Yeah...spoke too soon perhaps. They were looking BAD though. Might have some life left in them for a run.

    Without the Malik Willis trade it's possible the Packers are sitting 7-5 or even 6-6 right now facing tomorrow night. They could be really sitting on the fringes in the NFC. Pretty crazy.

    Disagree. I feel like this happens all the time where a "rising" team suddenly has a rash of injuries, their fan base just says "wait til we get everyone back!" and it just...never really happens. 1 or 2 guys come back, a couple are never the same again and they middle around in mediocrity for a while and disappear. The focal point of their offense is now a 29-year-old RB coming off IR with 2,000 career touches. Purdy has always been completely unimpressive to me. They haven't looked good this year. At all. Before anyone got hurt. They haven't played a single strong game. And to your point, they really aren't even a young team, either. Deebo is 29 next month. Statistically they are the 7th oldest team in the league. They're closer to a blow-up than a comeback. I wouldn't be totally shocked if they eek back into the playoffs, but this version of them lost two Super Bowls. They're coming down off that peak.

    I truthfully commend any fan that is as fervent a supporter of this league as they've ever been. I just can't do it any more with the competitive imbalance. It's always been bad, but it's a joke now. I love the game, the Brewers do what they can, and I'll always keep an eye on them, but I just don't follow the hot stove or live on every game they way I used to. I keep dreaming that something drastic happens and everything get realigned, but, eh.

    How the Packers fare this week should be telling. If they play a clean game that stays close and still lose, I think that's fine. If they get trounced then I think our ceiling is probably the divisional.

    The NFC is going to be very tough. I am assuming Tampa will end up winning the South (dangerous team) and if Seattle wins the West that is a hard place to play, though they suck there this season. Then your 5th and 6th could be MINN/GB with like 12 or 13 wins. Just a loaded slate. Going to Seattle a second time would stink for a 12-5-ish season. I think that is probably the draw I'd want though.

    The upside is if Minnesota does score you may have time to kick a winning FG.

    Hate the FG there from AZ for exactly what Olson was about to explain. 3pt lead with 96 yards to go is still an advantageous position. You're in a barely better position now where you could have ended the game with a touchdown.

    I'm still holding on to the fantasy we get them in GB for the NFC Championship. My scenario involves them traveling to Philly and winning in the divisional.

    I'm usually not crazy about the NFL inserting itself everywhere but I wish they had games this Saturday. There's always a Thanksgiving weekend hangover for me and I just want to lay around but nothing's on.

    Maybe Williams is right though. I've never been bothered by athletes saying what they think. Everyone readily admits that speaking cliches is lame but the second any of them veer off that it's some sign of "immaturity." The Bears just solved their biggest problem IMO. Now they have a major decision to make, but if they get a decent coach there is a lot of talent on that team.

    I assume he just meant if they had scored a TD. It was close enough that it was conceivable. The play just made no sense. It was 3rd and 26 so taking a shot is ok if a) it's 2nd down and you leave 3rd to get closer and b) you take less than 20 seconds to snap the ball. Now once they did get it off they had to go deep. The sack on the prior play was also just the one outcome you absolutely can't have.

    If you're a Bears fan I think you should honestly be encouraged by this season. Yes it's been a comedy of errors but they are competing and right on the fringes. They're not humiliating themselves as far as just getting destroyed. They just feel like one of those teams that's close, but just doesn't do the little things yet. I think Caleb will be fine long term.

    I like that it's Detroit next. A loss erases any dream of catching them for the division with a month left to go and makes it easy to rest anyone who might be better off just trying to get healthy for a run. And if you win then anything can happen.
